Apocalypse: Goddess Catalog, Starting With Twin Sisters!

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Apocalypse Descends

”Ah! No! I can’t take it anymore!!!”

Inside Room 1501, Building 5, Jinxiu Garden District!

A beautiful girl in a JK uniform and knee-high white stockings was desperately holding a violently rattling door shut, crying out in pain.

The girl had delicate features and a slender figure. Her gorgeous face, beaded with sweat from exhaustion, had gone pale, and her delicate body trembled with fear.

”Shut up!”

”It’ll be over in a second!”

Nearby, a young man was panting heavily. Ignoring the stunning school beauty who had already fainted from fright, he grabbed a weapon and viciously beat back the snarling zombie outside before dragging a sofa over to barricade the entrance.

He slammed the apartment door shut. As the sound of the zombie banging on the door grew fainter, Mengde finally let out a long sigh of relief. Beside him, the two sisters had already collapsed from exhaustion.

’Damn, talk about The Fast and the Furious. I just transmigrated into a zombie apocalypse and almost got killed right off the bat. Fuck!’

Yes, just a moment ago.

He had secretly scanned a QR code in the middle of the night, and when he woke up, his soul had been transmigrated into the body of this person named Mengde.

Before he could even figure out what was happening, he saw a zombie with fungal nails and cloudy white eyes charging aggressively toward him.

If it weren’t for the lightning-fast reflexes he’d honed over years of ”racing,” he, Mengde, would have set the record for the fastest death of any transmigrator in history!

’Son of a bitch. My mobile carrier charges such high fees every month, you’d think they’d give a heads-up when they expand their business to include transmigration services!’

’I’m definitely leaving them a one-star review later!’

Muttering curses, Mengde began to examine the original owner’s memories.

Just as he expected: an orphan whose parents were long gone, dumped by his girlfriend, two years out of college, wearing the ”yellow robe” of a food delivery driver, and a total corporate slave!!!

’Damn, with all these buffs stacked, isn’t it time for the system to activate?’

As a veteran reader of apocalypse novels on a certain web novel site, he knew the routine all too well.

Every transmigrator gets a cheat, a ridiculously overpowered system for each and every one!

[Ding! Detected that the host has eliminated one zombie by his own power and successfully landed post-transmigration. Activating the Goddess Catalog System!]

[The host only needs to find a Goddess who meets the system’s requirements and light up her entry in the Goddess Catalogue to receive rewards!]

[Note: This system provides a comprehensive score based on the Goddess’s looks, figure, charisma, and other aspects. Only by lighting up a Goddess with a score of 90 or above will the host receive a reward!]

[Furthermore, the higher the Goddess’s comprehensive score, the richer the system’s rewards!]

Alright!

’Why make it sound so profound? It just means don’t go collecting any random woman!’

Mengde understood instantly.

Fortunately, this system didn’t have any weird fetishes.

If it forced him to ”light up” someone like Aunt Qiao, Mengde would rather die!

[Ding! Scanning for a qualifying Goddess!]

A holographic panel appeared before Mengde, displaying the information of two women.

........

Well, damn. Talk about perfect timing!

Weren’t Chen Jiayi and Chen Jiayao the two sisters who had fainted on the floor!

According to the original owner’s memories, these two sisters were his—that is, the current Mengde’s—roommates!

The sisters had originally rented the apartment themselves, but under the pressure of rent, they found Mengde, who happened to be looking for a place, to split the cost.

The older sister, Chen Jiayi, was even a colleague of Mengde’s at the same company. The only difference was that Chen Jiayi was the goddess in the hearts of the company’s many male employees.

Dressed in a professional OL uniform paired with black silk stockings, she often made the original owner, a straight man as dense as a rock, too flustered to even look at her directly!

Mengde, on the other hand, was a frontline corporate drone, a beast of burden who wore his royally-bestowed yellow jacket and rode his wind-and-fire wheels every day!

He was almost always hovering around the poverty line!

The younger sister, Chen Jiayao, studied at the nearby East Sea Art Academy. She was a dance major, and her figure was simply incredible, her skin delicate and smooth.

Although they lived under the same roof, they didn’t really interact much, just exchanging greetings when they saw each other.

To have such an opportunity and not have a single one of those stories that handsome guys dream of happen...

If Mengde didn’t know the original owner was an honest, innocent, sunny, and cheerful guy, he’d have suspected him of having some... special preferences.

’Since I’ve transmigrated...’ Mengde glanced at the two sisters on the floor—one a top-tier OL goddess, the other a top-tier sweet school beauty!

’Plus, I’ve got a god-tier system. I’ve got this apocalypse in the bag, haha!’

The only tricky part was... this damn system required them to be his women before he could ”light them up”...

Just as he was pondering this, the two sisters began to wake up.

”Hiss...”

”Yaoyao, are you okay?”

Chen Jiayi, who woke up first, checked on her sister.

”Ah... are we still alive?”

’Heh, this girl’s a little dorky,’ Mengde thought with an inward laugh, and the next second, he saw the girl throw herself into her sister’s arms.

”Sis, I’m scared!”

”That monster was so terrifying!”

”Waaaaah~~~”

’A flower that’s never been beaten down by the harsh realities of life. So fragile.’

After waiting for the two sisters to calm down a little, Chen Jiayi finally asked Mengde what had happened.

When Mengde told them about the apocalypse and the zombies, both sisters found it hard to believe.

”See for yourselves!”

With that, Mengde gestured for them to look out the window.

The apartment they rented happened to overlook the main street outside.

By now, the street had descended into utter chaos, with zombies wandering everywhere like ghosts.

All kinds of screams echoed along the entire street, and the sky was oppressively dark, as if night had fallen prematurely.

Some were frantically tearing at their fellow humans. Anyone who was bitten would become infected and turn into one of those zombie-like monsters!

The sisters even witnessed a strong, able-bodied man get devoured by several zombies, leaving behind nothing but a pathetic skeleton that twitched from time to time.

This horrifying scene scared Chen Jiayao so much that she collapsed to the floor, her face ashen and her eyes filled with terror.

Although her older sister, Chen Jiayi, was handling it a bit better, it wasn’t by much. Her face was also pale.

More than that, she was filled with anxiety about the future.

Unconsciously, both sisters turned their gazes to the only man in the room.

Even if they rarely spoke to him, they had no other choice now. The terrifying zombies, the dawn of the apocalypse—it was all too much for two defenseless women like them.

”Brother Mengde, what should we do?”

Chen Jiayao’s eyes were red, clearly terrified. Her delicate little face was a mess, but even so, it couldn’t hide her pure and innocent beauty!

”It’s okay. Let’s stay in the room for now. I’m here...”

”As long as we’re alive, there’s still hope!”

Mengde’s tone was firm and his voice unusually powerful. While comforting the younger sister, his words also made Chen Jiayi’s eyes light up.

’This man seems a little different!’

[Ding! Congratulations, Host. Goddess Chen Jiayi’s Affinity toward you has increased by 5. Current Affinity: 25!]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host. Goddess Chen Jiayao’s Affinity toward you has increased by 5. Current Affinity: 20!]

He shot a look at the older sister, signaling for her to comfort her sibling.

That night, the two sisters would definitely not be sleeping well...
