Apocalypse: Goddess Catalog, Starting With Twin Sisters!

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Sister Bai, you don’t want to starve to death, do you...

If Mengde were here, he would’ve definitely recognized him. This man was none other than Liu Junjie!

That shitty supervisor who had scammed him out of at least a month’s salary.

Liu Junjie’s character fit his name perfectly. As the saying goes, a wise man is one who understands the times!

After the apocalypse arrived, he put his namesake into perfect practice. He immediately offered his own wife to Brother Dao in exchange for the opportunity to guard the supermarket.

Although he was despised by everyone, he felt no shame. In fact, he took pride in it, and usually regarded himself as the supermarket’s supervisor.

So, for the past few days, aside from occasionally having to watch a ’show’ from Japan, his life was pretty carefree.

After all, just surviving in this apocalypse was an achievement. Eating a mouthful of bread was a luxury. How many people could live like him, with no worries about food or clothing?

But Mengde had just cut off his lifeline.

You have to understand, for the past few days of the apocalypse, their group of several dozen people had all survived thanks to this supermarket.

If Brother Dao found out the supermarket was gone, he’d be skinned alive.

He didn’t have a second woman to offer Brother Dao.

His only daughter was just three years old...

At this thought, Liu Junjie couldn’t help but shudder. If Brother Dao found out, he would skin him alive!

’No! I have to report this to Brother Dao immediately!’

’Damn you, Mengde, always making trouble for me! I’ll make sure you die sooner or later!’

’Fuck!’

...............

Meanwhile, Mengde had already broken through the zombie siege and returned to Building 5.

Again, he bounded up the stairs to the 12th floor in one go.

His face wasn’t red, and he wasn’t out of breath; there was no pressure on him at all.

Just as he was about to knock, the door to apartment 1201 across the hall suddenly opened.

A woman stood in the doorway, her beautiful hair draped over her shoulders, her features delicate and pretty.

Her thin pink cardigan did nothing to conceal her impressive headlights.

She wore a white dress underneath, its hem barely covering her beautiful rear, revealing a pair of smooth, slender legs.

She was tall and graceful, and standing there, she exuded an air of nobility and elegance, with the overwhelming aura of a mature woman washing over him.

It made even Mengde’s heart stir.

[DING! A top-tier Goddess meeting the criteria has been detected!]

A virtual panel that only he could see materialized before his eyes.

[Goddess: Bai Jie]

[Overall Score: 95]

[Affinity: 10 (Nodding acquaintance. Reaching 60 will unlock her in the Goddess Catalogue.)]

[Times Charged: 0] (Untouched)

[System Introduction: 32 years old, exquisite figure, equipped with peerless deadly weapons, Innate Young Lady Saint Body, foreign language teacher at East Sea University before the apocalypse, married for five years (not yet fully awakened), a top-tier teacher!]

[Meets system requirements. Host, please unlock her in the Goddess Catalogue as soon as possible!]

That’s right. The one standing before him now was none other than his 32-year-old, married landlady!

Mengde guessed that the person peeking at him from behind her door before he went downstairs was probably this very woman.

He wasn’t the least bit surprised that a woman like her would be detected by the system.

This was, after all, the woman who had managed to move the heart of the original owner, that blockhead.

He wasn’t surprised by her high score, either.

Those ”deadly weapons” were at least half the reason!

What he found strange was that this woman was still... complete.

This made him wonder.

Was it that she was unwilling to let Wang Shen in?

Or was Wang Shen simply not capable?

Mengde’s mind was full of questions, but before he could sort them out, Bai Jie, standing opposite him, spoke up.

She was looking at the backpack on Mengde’s back.

”Mengde, did you just get back from downstairs?”

Before returning from the supermarket, Mengde had deliberately packed a large backpack with supplies to avoid drawing attention, so he looked like he’d had a fruitful haul.

But in reality, most of the supplies were in his personal storage space.

”Yes, that’s right. Sister Bai, do you need something?”

Mengde gave a knowing smile. Seeing that Sister Bai’s attention was fixed on his backpack, he understood what she wanted.

’Asking for food, is she...’

’But he wasn’t going to be the one to bring it up.’

”Could you... give me a little something to eat... I can pay for it...”

Bai Jie was a little nervous, and her face was haggard. She probably hadn’t been doing well these past few days.

’Heh!’

’This woman is pretty naive!’

’I guess she still doesn’t understand what an apocalypse is!’

”Sister Bai, it’s the apocalypse. Do you really think I have any use for money?”

”I’d find it too rough to even wipe my ass with!”

Mengde said bluntly.

He wasn’t some kind of saint. Did she think she could get something for nothing without him even getting a little taste?

’No way!’

Rejected, Bai Jie flushed red.

”Then... then what do you want?”

”All I have is money.”

”I don’t have anything else...”

As she spoke, she started to sound aggrieved, and her enchanting eyes turned red.

’Uhh...’

’Seriously, are this young woman’s tears this worthless?’

’Crying at the drop of a hat?!’

Mengde was speechless.

”No, Sister Bai, you have something else that’s very precious...”

”Wh... what?”

Bai Jie looked confused, only to see Mengde give a mysterious smile as his eyes began to shamelessly roam all over her body...

’Those peerless headlights...’

’That slender waist...’

’Those smooth, long legs...’

His wanton gaze made her immediately understand.

”You... you... you want me?”

Bai Jie was in disbelief. The decorum and sense of shame she had been taught her whole life made her feel a sense of humiliation, and she subconsciously resisted.

”No, impossible!”

”I can’t do that!”

”I would be letting my husband down!”

[DING! Goddess Bai Jie’s Affinity for the Host has decreased by 100. Current Affinity: -90!]

’Fuck...’

’Great, one sentence and I’ve made her completely despise me.’

’But for her to say that, she obviously still doesn’t know her husband already turned into a zombie and was taken out by my hammer long ago.’

”Sister Bai, I won’t force you. Think it over carefully.”

”After all, Sister Bai, you don’t want to starve to death, do you...”

Mengde shrugged nonchalantly. If there was one thing he ’hated’, it was forcing people to do things they didn’t want to do.

’Yep, definitely not because of the system.’

’I swear!’

”But to show my sincerity, I’ll give you two loaves of bread. Consider it a ’down payment’ I’m making in advance...”

”It’s also a thank you for speaking up for me back then, which allowed me to live here.”

’After all, back when he was renting with the pair of sister-beauties, this woman had put in quite a few good words for him.’

He didn’t say this part out loud, though.

He took two loaves of bread from his bag and tossed them at Bai Jie.

But what he didn’t expect was that, by a strange coincidence, they happened to hit that pair of headlights.

and bounced right off...

Mengde marveled internally: ’These headlights are really bouncy...’

Being hit like that, Bai Jie now completely understood Mengde’s intentions. A thick sense of humiliation enveloped her.

She didn’t say another word. Biting her lip, she silently picked up the bread from the floor.

”If you make up your mind, send me a message. I’ll be waiting.”

Mengde didn’t know if she heard him or not, but watching her well-proportioned, curvaceous figure retreat into her room, a fire ignited within him.

’Damn it, I need to go back and cool off.’

’This woman is truly a siren!’

’Her deadly weapons are overwhelming!!!’
