Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 688: Chapter 688: The Original Wife Sold by Her Husband 34

Yuan Chun saw that those storefronts had good locations and were priced cheaply, so she readily pulled out a stack of money and bought all eight storefronts.

Each of her four brothers had one under their name.

The remaining four were registered under Yuan Chun’s name.

Each storefront was two hundred and sixty, and Yuan Chun had originally promised to give each of her four brothers five hundred yuan as startup capital; after buying the storefronts, she gave each of her brothers two hundred and forty yuan.

Their intended businesses were small, and two hundred and forty yuan wasn’t necessary.

Wang Hongjun only took forty yuan, ”Yuan Chun, we’ll be selling mantou; just a bag of flour, a pot, and a few steamers will suffice, not much money needed.”

”Yuan Chun, I don’t need that much either, eggs are five cents each, chickens are two yuan apiece, I don’t need over two hundred yuan; borrowing another hundred will be enough for me.”

”Yuan Chun, I’ll sell pickles, just need to buy some vegetables; forty yuan is enough for me.”

Second Brother Wang also just took forty.

Fourth Brother Wang waved his hand, ”Little sister, you sell braised dishes, your fourth sister-in-law and I are just lending a hand; I won’t borrow money; you can just pay us a salary.”

”We agreed, if we’re partnering, we should all contribute equally, half each.” Yuan Chun handed the money to them, ”Alright, don’t refuse. We agreed on five hundred yuan each before, now buying storefronts counts as an investment, so I’m deducting the storefront money; what’s left is yours. If you don’t need it now, save it for expanding your storefronts or businesses in the future.”

”For example, big brother, start by selling mantou, and once you’re earning, you can transition to a breakfast shop, selling porridge, noodles, dumplings, or convert it into a small restaurant to earn more.”

”Third brother, you collect goods from the village, then you can transition into a general store, selling everything; you can also have villagers collect goods, and you buy from them, slightly increasing prices by a cent or two, allowing them to earn a margin while saving you the trip to the rural areas, enabling you to consider sourcing goods from factories in the city, like towels, toothpaste, soap, and other daily items; as long as you can procure them, you can sell them.”

”Second brother, you sell pickles, and you can sell other things too, like salted duck eggs, frozen pears, frozen tofu... the table has more than pickles, you can sell various foods, as long as you can get them.”

”Even if you can’t get food now, by summer, the vegetables in everyone’s yards in our village will be too much to eat; then you can go to the village to purchase and sell.”

”And fruits, second brother, as long as you’re diligent, you can source many supplies; every house in our village has fruit trees, and previously uneaten fruits were given away; if you spend money to buy, even those reluctant to eat will sell to you.”

...

Yuan Chun’s burst of ideas made the Wang Brothers feel as if a window had opened before their eyes, allowing them to see further and think more.

That afternoon, the siblings cleaned up several storefronts.

Afterwards, they went to the market to inquire about the prices of flour, steamers, and pig heads, discovering that a lot of city folk were setting up street stalls at the market’s entrance, selling unused household items like tea mugs, thermos flasks, porcelain bowls, and also stoves and large pots...

These items didn’t require coupons, and were priced slightly higher than at the supply and marketing cooperatives.

Since Wang San wanted to open a general store, he discreetly went from one house to another to inquire about prices, so he’d have a good sense.

Wang Hongjun bought a large pot, Yuan Chun bought two large pots, a large stove, and several colorful porcelain bowls.
