Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 671: Chapter 671: The First Wife Sold by Her Husband 17

Yuan Chun said, ”Big brother, second brother, I heard that the country will soon open up the economy, and by then, we ordinary folks will be able to do business anywhere.”

Probably by the end of this year, the documents will be available.

By then, she can seize the first wave of opportunities before the new year and make a lot of money.

Next year, there will be land allocation for individual farming.

She plans to apply for a homestead in Xiao Wa Village before the land allocation, to build her own house to live in.

In about three or four years, a survey team will come to Xiao Wa Village and discover that there is crude oil beneath a paddy field near the village.

Soon after, Xiao Wa Village will be established as Xiao Wa Town.

The village’s land will become town government land, and villagers wanting to build houses will have to pay the government themselves.

Before long, a large oil company will open at the entrance of Xiao Wa Village, and many young people from the village will be specially recruited to work there. The state will also give the elderly in the village a monthly pension of five yuan each.

Many strangers will also move into the village.

The village, originally with just about a thousand people, will gradually become a large town with tens of thousands.

The rice fields in the village, after one mature autumn season, will be bulldozed flat, with lots of large machines unfamiliar to the original owners put in place.

...

Yuan Chun knew this was going to happen, so she wanted to plan well before Xiao Wa Village was established as Xiao Wa Town, on how to lead the entire Wang Family to prosperity.

First, she had to make money, lots and lots of money.

As long as she has money, she can help the Wang Family relatives on the path to wealth.

Two days later, the human trafficker who named He Lisheng suddenly changed his testimony, leading to He Lisheng being released without charge and returning to Imperial University to continue his studies.

Half a month later, a total of fifty-six people from the trafficking gang were arrested, but according to their testimonies, another four traffickers escaped, one of whom was Lai Litiu.

The arrested traffickers were given the death penalty, life imprisonment, or fixed-term imprisonment of ten, eight, or six years.

Among the ten traffickers, six were main figures in the gang and were sentenced to death, while the remaining four, who couldn’t live independently, were sent back to their hometowns.

The money obtained from trafficking women and children was also mostly recovered by the police, and the women and children they sold were rescued one by one with a great effort by the police.

The day the traffickers were sentenced happened to be the day the Wang Brothers were discharged from the hospital, and the three siblings went to watch.

Upon learning He Lisheng was released without charge, Wang Hongjun and Wang Hongmin were furious and wanted to go to Imperial University to beat him up.

Yuan Chun said, ”Big brother, second brother, forget it, let’s consider this as my tuition fee for a lesson, I won’t be so easily deceived by men in the future.”

”I’ve already divorced He Lisheng, from now on he’ll go his way and I’ll go mine, we have nothing to do with each other anymore, so don’t bother looking for him.”

Wang Hongmin’s eyes turned red, ”Yuan Chun, you’re just too kind, that’s why He Lisheng bullied you so badly. You’ve divorced him, so there’s no issue between you, but what about Niu Niu? Niu Niu is his biological daughter, is he going to just ignore her too?”

Yuan Chun smiled bitterly, ”Second brother, when has He Lisheng ever cared about Niu Niu? He’s always resented that Niu Niu is a girl, a burden.”

”Big brother, second brother, we’ve been in the Imperial City for almost a month. Let’s take the train home tonight,” Yuan Chun said, wanting to stir things up, but she had to leave the Imperial City first.

He Lisheng, who trafficked his wife and wanted to climb to power, dreams on.
