Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 687: Chapter 687: The First Wife Sold by Her Husband (Part 33)

A few brothers knocked on the door and came in.

Third Brother exclaimed excitedly, ”Little sister, did you hear Dad’s announcement?”

”I heard it. Third Brother, have you decided what business you want to start?”

Third Brother, a bit embarrassed, said, ”I... my wife and I discussed it, and we’ve decided to collect chickens and eggs saved by the villagers, as well as dried vegetables, dried fungus, dried mushrooms, and dried fruits, and sell them in the county.”

”These things don’t spoil easily. If we can’t sell them all in one day, we can sell them over the course of a month. As long as they’re sold, we’ll make money and they won’t go unsold in our hands.”

Wang Hongjun said, ”That’s a good business, but with the snow so thick, going to each village to collect things, not to mention getting to the county, will take a long time. If you get stuck halfway in this weather, you could freeze to death. This business would be better to start next spring.”

Wang San laughed and said, ”This year, I’ll first collect some chickens and eggs to sell in town. With the New Year approaching, every household in the city needs chickens and eggs. I’ll buy them at a low price and sell them at a high price to make a profit. I’ll sell as much as I can collect. I wasn’t planning on involving Hongmei initially. She’ll stay home to take care of the children. Once I’m familiar with the business and have gained experience, when the weather warms up, I’ll focus on collecting goods from various villages, and Hongmei will stay in the county to sell.”

Wang Hongjun nodded, ”That’s very sensible. You should take things step by step. Even if you lose money, you won’t lose much, and whatever you collect, your family can always eat.”

”Big Brother, have you decided what kind of business you’ll do?” Wang San looked at him. ”Sister-in-law is a great cook. Why don’t you open a food stall in the county to test the waters?”

”Yes, your sister-in-law has decided to sell Mantou and flower rolls. We’ll sell them for a few days to see how it goes. If they sell well, we’ll also make radish buns. However, we haven’t stored many radishes this year, so we’ll have to buy them first, which is a bit troublesome.”

In the middle of winter, every household is short of preserved winter vegetables, and there’s none to sell.

So, the couple will just temporarily sell Mantou and flower rolls.

”For this business, we need to rent a place in the county first, so my wife and I plan to go there tomorrow to look around and try to make some money before the New Year,” Wang Hongjun said.

Wang Hongmin said excitedly, ”Big Brother, while you sell Mantou and flower rolls, I plan to sell pickles. My wife’s pickles taste amazing. Perhaps people who buy your Mantou will also want to buy my pickles to go with them.”

Fourth Brother Wang looked at his three brothers, a bit anxious, ”You all have a business idea, but I’ve been thinking for over ten days and can’t come up with anything. Xiao Tao and I don’t have any skills, and we can’t do anything.”

He looked at his little sister, ”Yuan Chun, can you help me come up with a business idea for my wife and me?”

Yuan Chun smiled and said, ”Fourth Brother, I’m planning to go to town tomorrow to buy a few pig heads to stew and sell. Why don’t we partner up?”

She wanted to sell braised dishes, and with only a few days left until the New Year, she planned to sell them temporarily to make some money to ensure the family has a good New Year.

After the New Year, she plans to go south to wholesale appliances, clothing, and shoes.

Fourth Brother Wang raised both hands in approval.

So, the next day, the five siblings went to the county together.

Originally, they planned to each rent a shop to do business. Just then, they met a family eager to move abroad, who wanted to sell eight adjacent shop fronts below market price by two-tenths.
