Li Su and Hu Zhen lead the army and enter a battle with the Liang Army, but on the first battle, Li Su is killed by Li Jue, which makes Hu Zhen switch sides and join Li Ru’s side bloating their army to 115,000 men. When the news of Hu Zhen’s defection reaches Chang’An, Lu Bu leads the remaining men under him to fight the oncoming enemies outside of Chang’An.

Wang Yun declared a state of emergency, everyone began to panic as they didn’t expect that the freedom they have just got to be threatened in just several days.

Lu Bu led 65,000 men mixed between the Bing Army and the Imperial Army, Lu Bu led his generals to station the army outside the western gate. He was confident that they could repel the enemy, even though they had 50,000 men more than him.

Lu Bu was confident in the strength he had right now, he had been training intensely alone and alongside his generals, to repay the shame he received from being defeated at Hulao Gate by the so-called ’Three Heroes’.

He was also feeling threatened, threatened by the talent Lie Fan had as he could see that they were already in the same realm, but there was a big difference in the strength they possessed in the realm between them.

Gao Shun: ”General, I think that we should defend Chang’An from the walls. Chang’An has the biggest wall in the entire land after Luoyang being the former Capital of Han.”

Zhang Liao: ”I agree with Gao Shun general, the difference between our army is pretty big, I’m not so sure that our army can defeat the experienced Xiliang Army with that much difference in manpower.”

Lu Bu: ”Humph! What are the two of you afraid of, I Lu Bu are leading all of you, we can defeat those bugs easily!”

Hou Cheng: ”Haha! Brothers, we are led by General Lu Bu, what should we be afraid of?! We also have many fearsome generals such as you Zhang Liao and me alongside Wei Xu and Song Xian, they only have Li Jue, Guo Si, and Zhang Ji!”

Cao Xing: ”Old Hou! Don’t forget to include me! This time we show those Xiliang bastards that we the Bing Arny the superior forces!”

Cheng Lian: ”General I agree with Zhang Liao and Gao Shun, but I also believe in your strength and leadership to lead us in victory over the Xiliang Army!”

Lu Bu: ”Haha you old bastards still knew how to speak, why don’t you go and become old fossils at the Court?! Haha!”

Lu Bu’s words caused everyone to laugh, even though they are in a desperate situation they are optimistic about their chances.

Zhang Liao and Gao Shun can only look at each other, knowing that they have to become the tacticians as well and they can’t leave it to these battle maniacs.

At this time, on the horizon, a large army approached Lu Bu’s location. Seeing the approaching army, Lu Bu immediately ordered his army to enter battle formation.

Lu Bu’s Generals immediately toward their positions, and at this time Wang Yun lead additional 10,000 men joining Lu Bu’s army but from their equipment, it can be seen that they were volunteers that Wang Yun managed to recruit from the people of Chang’An.

Lu Bu seeing this protested to Wang Yun, as this can hold back the strength of the army under his command, not upgrading it. Wang Yun told Lu Bu that he will lead this army personally, guarding the gate of Chang’An as the last line of defense.

Hearing this Lu Bu ceased his protest, and with Gao Shun alongside Zhang Liao at his flank, he rode out toward the frontline of his army.

Li Ru’s Army stopped their march when they were near Lu Bu’s Army, Li Ru accompanied by Li Jue, Guo Si, and Zhang Ji rode out to the front of their army. Seeing Lu Bu standing at the forefront of his army with Zhang Liao and Gao Shun, Li Ru opened his mouth.

Li Ru: ”Ungrateful bastard son Lu Bu! You killed your own foster father twice, is there anyone in this world more ungrateful and hateful than you?!”

Lu Bu: ”Humph! Li Ru you better surrender! That pig traitor Dong Zhuo is not my foster father anymore! Not after he is lusting for his own foster granddaughter! Even if the heaven smite me, he would be drowning in hell!”

Li Jue: ”Lu Bu you are truly arrogant and too overconfident! Do you think your small army can’t match our trained and experienced Xiliang men?!”

Hou Cheng: ”Li Jue you coward, you and all of Xiliang Generals can’t even defeat my General, what army are you saying is inferior to yours huh?!”

Guo Si: ”Hou Cheng you bastard shut up! Do you want to taste my blade again?! Don’t forget who defeated you in that duel?!”

Wei Xu: ”You cheapskate! You only win because you cheat?! How dare you arrogantly flaunt that in front of us! Are you looking for death!”

Lu Bu: ”Enough! Li Ru surrender your army and you will be spared! Li Jue, Guo Si, and Zhang Ji give your head to the Emperor, and your family will be spared!”

Li Ru just sneered, his heart now filled with thirst for revenge, revenge against Lu Bu as because of him he lost his wives and the Dong Clan who supported him. He turned his horse around, he ordered Li Jue, Guo Si, and Zhang Ji to lead the army attacking Lu Bu.

Li Jue as the highest commanding general, commands the army to enter an attacking formation. Zhang Ji was ordered to lead the Xiliang Cavalry, to counter the Bing Cavalry and Guo Si led the archers.

Li Jue and Hu Zhen led the Infantries with the rest of Dong Zhuo’s generals who were staying at the army camp, Lu Bu seeing that the enemies were entering the formation ordered everyone to stand alert.

Li Ru seeing that the army under his command was ready, told the drum to be sounded according to the beat he instructed, so Li Jue, Guo Si, and Zhang Ji knew what formation or what should they do according to Li Ru’s tactic.

With the drum sound reverberating across the field, Li Jue led the Infantries to attack, fighting against Gao Shun and his Infantries. The infantries clashed at the main front, signaling the start of the battle.

Xiliang Cavalry under Zhang Ji’s lead began a pierce attack on Lu Bu’s infantry but was countered by the Bing Cavalry under the lead of Hou Cheng, Wei Xu, and Song Xian.

A fierce battle began to ensue outside of Chang’An Wall, a bloody battle mixed with revenge and ambition, as the will of someone who has lost everything and has something to protect.

Lu Bu led his early in the forefront, the mighty might of Lu Bu is still etched on the kind of the Xiliang Army, so they were intimidated when they were confronted by Lu Bu, who hacked and tore their comrades to pieces easily.

Zhang Liao was always beside Lu Bu, guarding and protecting him from attacks that came from his rear. Wang Yun and the Volunteer army see the brutal fight happening in front of their eyes, it’s like seeing the battle between a dragon and a tiger.

Li Ru seeing that Lu Bu and his army relying on their raw power just sneered, he had foreseen this to happen as they don’t have a tactician of a great caliber like him, no they don’t have any tactical at all and many are battle junkies.

Li Ru ordered the drums to change their beat, and when the Xiliang generals heard the beat, they immediately changed their formation and their battle moves, they began to fight dirty using their surroundings.

Lu Bu and his army don’t realize that while advancing their attack, the Xiliang army slowly falls back, trapping them inside their formation.

When Lu Bu and Gao Shun realize they are trapped, it is too late as they have been surrounded. Under Li Jue, Guo Si, Zhang Ji, and Hu Zhen’s command, the Xiliang Army entered a tight formation and began to advance toward Lu Bu’s Army.

Zhang Liao: ”General we are trapped! Looks like Li Ru lured us into entering this formation, right now we are surrounded from all sides!”

Gao Shun: ”My Lord this is bad, as we are speaking right now our men are being killed left and right, Li Ru’s army advancing toward us slowly but we can’t stop them, as if we don’t find a weak spot, our army will be split up and be circled!”

Lu Bu: ”Humph Li Ru that bastard! What do the two of you suggest? You two knew that I’m not good at thinking of tactics.”

Gao Shun: ”We find an opening and breakthrough General, but with Li Ru’s ability in tactics, we need to wait for a long time before we can find the opening!”

Zhang Liao: ”I agree with Gao Shun General! I suggest that we retreat and leave Chang’An! Wang Yun and the Emperor are no benefit to us, right now is a time of chaos and every man for themselves.”

Lu Bu: ”Find I agree with the plan of the two of you, I don’t really care about Wang Yun or The Emperor, I only want to live and meet my family, then brought them out of this hellhole!”

Under Lu Bu’s agreement, Zhang Liao and Gao Shun coordinated the army to stay close to each other, and not leave their formation until further order, fighting to keep themselves alive.

Li Ru orders the drum sound to beat faster, indicating that the Xiliang army to attack Lu Bu’s army faster. Lu Bu and his army fight with all they get, to stay alive and wait for the opening for them to take advantage of.

Li Ru’s army numbered about 2 against 1, while Wang Yuna and the Volunteer army stayed at the wall, and doesn’t go and help Lu Bu get from the trap formation.

1 hour passed by, and Lu Bu could still fight on, while his army began to feel exhausted. At this time, both Zhang Liao and Gao Shun finally found the opening they were looking for, they told Lu Bu about this, and with Lu Bu leading his army they headed east of the formation to break out.
