When Lie Fan and Jia Xu wanted to go back to Xiapi, Sima Yi was reluctant to leave his brother but Sima Lang persuaded him to follow Lie Fan, as the education provided there is better than in Huai’An. Sima Yi doesn’t agree but Sima Lang said that he wished for Sima Yi to have a higher position than him in the future, so Sima Yi reluctantly agrees.

Lie Fan, Jia Xu, and Sima Yi returned to Xiapi, everyone entered their normal daily life, this went on for about 2 months, at this time Xu Kai finally returned to Xiapi bringing Xu Rong and Fan Chou’s family.

Lie Fan told the guards to release Xu Rong his the prison, meanwhile, he assigned two decent mansions for Xu Rong and Fan Chou’s residence here in Xiapi.

Xu Rong who was released from prison, hearing that his family had arrived hurriedly walked towards the Governor’s Castle main hall, in there he saw his wife and children, who ran toward him and hugged him while crying.

Fan Chou’s family on the other hand has been told, that Fan Chou is on duty and that he will come back to Xiapi in a month for a visit. Xu Rong was happy and grateful to Lie Fan, the stone in his heart had been removed.

He declared his allegiance to Lie Fan, as having a Lord like Lie Fan who agreed to help his family and even smuggled them out all the way from Chang’An, is a worthy lord to serve, worthier than Dong Zhuo.

Lie Fan laughs and pats him I the shoulder, saying to Xu Rong from now on he will be his vice general, leading the Guard Battalion alongside him. He needed his expertise in leading cavalry, and training them like how he trained the Xiliang Cavalry, of course being mixed with Lie Fan’s training regime.

Xu Rong kneeled before Lie Fan and thanked him for this opportunity, Lie Fan told Xu Rong that he was worthy of this treatment, and while saying so, Lie Fan used the Eye of Erlang Shen to see Xu Rong’s stats.

Lie Fan was satisfied with this, at least Xu Rong’s survival rate in battle was very high. Xu Rong and Fan Chou’s family were escorted to their residence which had been prepared, and then Lie Fan brought Xu Rong to the army camp outside.

At the Camp, Lie Fan introduced Xu Rong to Ling Cao and Ze Rong, saying that he would be his Vice-general for the Guard Battalion, so from now on everything concerning the Guard Battalion would be handled by him.

Ling Cao and Ze Rong greeted Xu Rong, with the arrival of Xu Romg, the recruitment and training process of the Guard Battalion became more efficient and faster with his expertise.

Xu Rong proposed to Lie Fan that they change the name of the battalion, as it was a bit weird calling it Guard Battalion. Lie Fan doesn’t want to call it Xiapi Cavalry or Xu Cavalry much like Xiliang Cavalr or Bing Cavalry, he wanted it to have its original name.

Lie Fan thought long and hard, he finally found a name that was Tian Mao meaning Heaven Spear, he hoped that his Tian Mao could pierce through all of his enemies, like a knife easily cutting a butter.

Xu Rong liked the name, so from now on the name of the Guard Battalion changed to Tian Mao Battalion, it needed 1,000 men for the Tian Mao Battalion to reach the 9,000 quota that Lie Fan decided.

After this Lie Fan returned to his office, where he found that Mi Zhu and Wang Lang is waiting for him, Lie Fan asked them what bring them to his office and waited for him.

Mi Zhu: ”My Lord you have arrived! We wanted to report that the Horse Farm has finished being built, and the 1,000 Mongolian horses have been transferred to the farm.”

Lie Fan: ”That’s great, make sure that the horse doesn’t become stressed and ensure they receive the best sustenance so they are healthy.”

Wang Lang: ”Yes My Lord, I have to make sure that the Horse breeders and stable hands that we recruited are the best of the best, and commit to doing their job.”

Lie Fan: ”Okay good job Wang Lang, next is a new project that I wanted Mi Zhu and Ren Jun to do, Wang Lang can you please call Ren Jun here.”

Wang Lang saluted Lie Fan and left his office, 20 minutes later while Lie Fan and Mi Zhu are talking about the horse farm waiting for Ren Jun, Ren Jun arrived at Lie Fan’s office with Wang Lang.

Lie Fan tells them to wait here, he stands up and goes to another part of his office where there’s a wall that separates him from the others, Lie Fan takes out a small sack of Coffee seeds and Potatoes seeds, then he walks out showing it to the three of them.

Lie Fan: ”Mi Zhu and Ren Jun, these two small sacks are filled with a new kind of plant, Oriole members sent these to me, he was assigned to the Liang Province, where Oriole is infiltrating right now. He got this from the famed Silk Road, where a foreign merchant caravan was attacked and he gave this to him as a gift for saving them.”

Ren Jun: ”These black things have a very good aroma and it’s very strong, while these round things look like some kind of vegetables?”

Lie Fan: ”Yes the Oriole member who sent this to me told me that the name of these two are Coffee and Potatoes. Coffee is said to help people stay awake all night and keep our bodies warm, and have a better effect than tea.”

Mi Zhu: ”What a marvelous thing, what about this potato my lord?”

Lie Fan: ”Have a faster growth time than rice, which could replace the staple food for our army, it is said to be nutritious and delicious, especially when eaten with salt. As coffee, it has a bitter taste, so the grille member suggested for us to put sugar in.”

Ren Jun: ”Faster growth rate than rice?! My Lord, we have to plant this using the Tuntian System, it would double no maybe triple the number of Supplies for our army we can produce!”

Mi Zhu: ”This coffee if can be marketed well, would become another hot commodity here in Xu Province!”

Lie Fan was satisfied with Mi Zhu and Ren Jun’s evaluation of coffee and potatoes, he saw how Coffee and Potatoes are very significant ingredients for food and drinks.

He assigned Mi Zhu and Ren Jun to handle the project of planting Coffee and Potatoes, he also gave them a piece of paper, telling the best conditions and time to plant Coffee and Potatoes that he copied from the Book of Knowledge.

Mi Zhu and Ren Jun promised to complete this project and to do it to the best of their abilities, Lie Fan tells them that these two things are important for Xu Province.

If it was as described by the Oriole members, then coffee could keep their soldiers energized throughout the night shift, and potatoes can be used to feed the population of Xu Province, reducing rice prices which alleviated the burden of the people.

Lie Fan’s words give Mi Zhu and Ren Jun more passion to complete this project, as it can be seen from Lie Fan’s words that he made this project to help the people of Xu Province.

So under My Zhu and Ren Jun’s lead, Coffee and Potatoes began to be planted after they found the right ground and time to plant them according to the paper given to them by Lie Fan.

Lie Fan sometimes visited them to see how they progress, Lie Fan had given them all of the seeds in his inventory, so Lie Fan hoped that when they harvested the coffee and potatoes, they would separate some for planting.

Time passed by, and 2 months later Lie Fan accompanied Ying Yue who had been 9 months pregnant, at any time Ying Yue would give birth to his child. Lie Fan has ordered Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjin to be on standby, of course with traditional midwives who will support Ying Yue during the labor.

Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjin have mixed some herbal medicine that could help Ying Yue in her labor, and also maybe a cesarean operation if needed as they never know what will happen.

Ying Yue’s belly is bigger than most pregnant women, everyone believes that the chick inside her is very healthy and will be big, while Lie Fan actually has a sneaky suspicion but ignores it as he is not a doctor.

While Ying Yue and Lie Fan are enjoying some tea together when suddenly Ying Yue groans in pain holding their belly, Lie Fan comes to her side what’s wrong when he looks down he sees water coming down Lie Fan knows that Ying Tue has entered labor.

Lie Fan picks her up in a princess hug, shouting for the midwives to come and for Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjin to prepare if anything ever happened, women’s skin in ancient times can only be seen by her husband, but Lie Fan doesn’t care about this as Ying Tue can still worn her clothes like in modern era, only her abdomen being shown for the operation.

Lie Fan put Ying Yue in a room that was designed under Lie Fan’s order for a labor room, the midwives came in to help Ying Yue while telling Lie Fan to leave the room, Lie fan reluctantly left the room but before leaving he threatened the midwives that if something ever happened to Ying Yue she will be dead.

When Lie Fan left the room, Diao Chan, Cai Wenji, Wannian, and Sima Yi were waiting outside, seeing their husband coming out Diao Chan and Cai Wenji hugged Lie Fan in each side, trying to calm him down as they can see that he is very nervous.

At this time Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjin arrived, they brought the tools and some of their female doctors to help them in this operation if the operation ever needed.

So the waiting game began, Ying Yue inside the room keeps crying out in pain, trying to give birth to the crystallization of her love with Lie Fan, Lie Fan and the others waiting outside kept flinching when they heard Ying Yue’s cry of pain.

Lie Fan keeps walking back and forth, can’t stay in one place. 2 hours passed by and everyone outside suddenly hear the wailing of a baby, they immediately cheered especially Lie Fan, but then they heard the midwives shout that there was one more.

Everyone was surprised at first but then they congratulated Lie Fan, Lie Fan himself didn’t expect that he would have twins as his firstborn. A pair of dragons and phoenixes, or dragons and dragons, or phoenixes and phoenixes, he doesn’t care as twins itself was very rare in his previous life.
