Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin raise their head and return their posture to normal, all three look at Lie Fan with anticipation. Lie Fan gave them a warm smile, saying that he gladly accepted the three of them to serve him. He said that they needed to prove themselves that even though it hurt, the three of them didn’t have any fame so they needed to work twice as hard.

Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin were grateful that Lie Fan gave them the chance to serve him, as they can be considered to be from grassroots backgrounds or don’t have any fame.

So the chances of them being welcomed and received by already established and having their own talented people like Lie Fan are low, considering that the Lords already have talented people and people like them do not have any fame or name whatsoever.

They again bowed deeply to Lie Fan, saying their gratitude for the chance Lie Fan gave to them. Lie Fan just laughed happily and said for them to prove themselves to the world.

Only Fools doesn’t accept Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin if they come from the future, these three men helped laid the foundation of the dynasty and the people they served in history.

Especially Yi Ji who helped Liu Bei in making the Shu Ke which was the legal code of Shu alongside Zhuge Liang, Fa Zheng, Li Yan, and Liu Ba. Lie Fan told them to take their seat, and at this time the food that Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin ordered arrived.

Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin invited Lie Fan to have lunch together, but Lie Fan refused saying that he would like to eat at his home. Jia Xu, Chen Qun, and Sun Qian were also invited to eat with them, as Lie Fan doesn’t eat they agree to the invitation for Lie Fan.

Lie Fan: ”Ah yes let me introduce the three of you to the people beside me, you know that this is Sun Qian, beside him is Jia Xu, and The one beside Jia Xu is Chen Qun.”

Jia Xu: ”Greetings to the three of you, thank you for choosing to serve Our Lord. From now on we will be a family, that works together to strive for Our Lord’s success.”

Chen Qun: ”May I know what is your specialty? So our lord can assign you the best position for you to show your talent.”

Yi Jin: ”Ah my teachers always praise me for my quick thinking, excellent orator, and for having beautiful writing.”

Yan Jun: ”I’m just a humble scholar, I was well versed in Confucian teaching and committed to everything I did, as for my skills I can only say I’m mediocre and understand a little bit of everything.”

Zhuge Jin: ”If I’m being honest, my little brother although young more well-versed, and talented than me, my Uncle Zhuge Xuan always praises me in my state crafts, has a honeyed tongue, and knows how to conduct myself.”

Lie Fan: ”Your little brother? The one you said was named Zhuge Liang?”

Zhuge Jon: ”Yes My Lord, even though he is only 10 years old right now, he has shown incredible talent and comprehension towards statecraft and military strategy more than I do.”

Lie Fan: ”If you said so then what a talent your little brother has! Wait you also knew some Military strategy? Why don’t you say so?”

Zhuge Jin: ”My Uncle said that while I understand Military Strategy, it’s not my strong suit and my understanding of statecraft and oratory skills is much better.”

Lie Fan: ”I see then about your little brother, does he want to come and stay in Xiapi? He can be taught by Jia Xu and the others, he even can meet a genius like him Sima Yi who is two years older than him.”

Zhuge Jin apologizes to Lie Fan, saying that his Uncle Zhuge Xuan has brought Zhuge Liang along with him to Yuzhang Commandery as he was appointed by Yuan Shu to become its administrator.

Lie Fan nodded his head in understanding, he said it was okay as he just wanted to see two geniuses meeting each other. Seeing as his business is done here, Lie Fan stood up and said goodbye.

Everyone stood up and saluted Lie Fan. Lie Fan told them to sit back and enjoy lunch together, he hoped that they could bond together, as he would like all of his advisors to be friendly toward each other, so they could have healthy competition.

Lie Fan left the room and the Serenity Inn, He got up on his horse and headed toward the Lie Clan residence with his bodyguards Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao who covered their faces with a scarf, of course not a yellow one.

Arriving at the Lie Clan residence, Lie Fan for toward Chenchen and Yaoyao’s room as he knew that everyone must be there because before he left whenever he looked for his wives they all were there.

Zhou Chang and Pei Yuan Shao followed Zhang Mancheng and Bo Cai toward the quarters for Lie Fan’s bodyguards, where their armor and helmet mask will be given to them.

When Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji saw Lie Fan standing at the door of the Nursery, they approached him and hugged him one by one. Lie Fan wants to deny their hug at first, as he hasn’t changed his clothes yet

Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji don’t care about that, and hug him anyway. After hugging his wives, Lie Fan goes toward the baby crib, where Chenchen and Yaoyao are looking at him with their small baby eyes.

He felt that he would be melted by cuteness, he cooed at them and wanted to play with them with his fingers, but then he remembered that his hand was not clean. So he decided to not play with them, as babies are very sensitive toward dirty things and can get sick easily.

After looking at his son and daughter for some time, Lie Fan go takes a shower and changes to clean clothes, then eats lunch with his wife. Wannian has already eaten, so she doesn’t join them for lunch.

Lie Fan eats his lunch happily, talking with Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji. He talks about how he misses them when he goes out to battle and asks naughtily who will sleep with him tonight.

Ying Yue immediately responded that she had to take care of Chenchen and Yaoyao, Cai Wenji said that she had to accompany Wannian tonight, and that left Diao Chan who was too late to say anything.

Lie Fan seeing that it was Diao Chan, showed a lusty smile to Diao Chan whose face turned red, but also seduced Lie Fan at the same time. Seeing the bold interaction between the two, Ying Yue and Cai Wenji stopped them as it was too vulgar to do it in the open.

That night Lie Fan released his pent-up energy and donated loads of milk to Diao Chan, feeling refreshed after a long month and adrenaline from battle. Diao Chan was finally released after 2 hours, holding her abdomen while sleeping.

The Next day, Lie Fan woke up from his sleep holding Diao Chan in his arms. He releases his arms, and after kissing Diao Chan on the face, he gets up and does his daily morning routine.

Lie Fan then goes toward his office, accompanied by Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao. In his office, he called for all of his advisors to meet him in his office. Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin arrived at the Governor’s office for their appointment today, so they also joined in.

Inside his office, Lie Fan introduced the three of them to the rest of his advisors. After that, he assigned Yi Ji to join Cai Yong’s Writing department, Yan Jun to join Chen Qun’s Internal affairs department, and Zhuge Jin to join Sun Qian’s Foreign Affairs department.

Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Sun Qian bowed and thanked Lie Fan for their position, next on the agenda Lie Fan asked them if they had any plan they would like to propose for their preparation to attack Yuan Shu.

Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Liang were surprised by this, as they didn’t expect that their first official meeting would discuss such a heavy topic, attacking Yuan Shu who controls almost all of Yu Province.

Jia Xu: ”My Lord, even though Yuan Shu is weaker than us he still holds a considerable army. He has about 130,000 men and more, scattered across his territory, while our Army is about 150,000 men also scattered across our territory and 10,000 more in training.”

Chen Qun: ”Politically while Yuan Shu is isolated from any friends, Yuan Shao and Liu Biao will surely support Yuan Shu, even though the chance of them sending troops is low.”

Sun Qian: ”About allies, our position is stronger than Yuan Shu, Cao Cao is our ally and he will not want to miss the lands he is promised to have, so if we want to attack Yuan Shu we can do so without being afraid of repercussion from our biggest neighbor.”

Chen Gui: ”If My Lord can agree, maybe we can make Kong Zhou and Lu Kang who bordered with Yuan Shu, join our side and attack Yuan Shu from all sides.”

Lie Fan’s four most senior advisors immediately give their input to Lie Fan. Ren Jun, Mi Zhu, and Wang Lang stayed back as they handle the logistics, leaving Yi Ji, Yan Jun, and Zhuge Jin to give their opinion.

From the there of them, Zhuge Jin is the most versed in military strategy, followed by Yan Jun, and then Yi Ji.

Zhuge Jin: ”My Lord If I may, maybe just like what Master Chen Gui just said, we can diplomatically make Kong Zhou and Lu Kang submit to us, increasing the amount of our territory and more army to join our side without losing one.”

Lie Fan: ”Hmm all of your suggestions and reminders are very valuable, I like the idea of Kong Zhou and Lu Kang submitting to me. Kong Zhou still has a chance but Lu Kang and the Lu Clan I don’t think they will submit.”

Jia Xu: ”Why don’t we try first My Lord, Kong Zhou, and Lu Kang are much weaker than the deceased Kong Rong, so even if they don’t agree their chance of survival is very low.”

Sun Qian: ”I agree with this My Lord, it’s better to have more friends than more enemies. I can go to Lu Kang while Zhuge Jin can go to Kong Zhou, let the two of us try.”

Everyone also agrees, supporting Chen Gui and Zhuge Jin’s suggestion. Lie Fan sees this order for Sun Qian and Zhuge Jin to prepare everything they need and in a month they will go to Kong Zhou and Lu Kang respectively.

Next Lie Fan asked for the logistics and supply conditions of the army supplies, Ren Jun and Mi Zhu was the one who handled this. Ren Jun first said that they have a large amount of food, especially with the next harvest of potatoes on the corner. As for Money, Mi Zhu has checked the treasury and is sure that they are good to go.
