Both Huang Zhong and Taishi Ci saw this and just sneered as they knew the Yellow Turbans would be just a meat experience for the recruits, they ordered Zang Ba and Xu Rong to lead the Cavalries to attack them fast-paced, picking up their weak parts in the formation.

Zang Ba and Xu Rong each led 5,000 cavalry to attack the Yellow Turbans, using their fast mobility they attacked the weakest part of the formation, doing a hit-and-run maneuver.

Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao can only curse when they see this, as they don’t have cavalry units and their troops are only composed of infantries and archers. Zhou Cang ordered the archers to snipe Lie Fan’s cavalry, to allow them down, or even kill them.

Before the main army even arrived, the Yellow Turbans under Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao already had casualties. Even though the Cavalry units were recruits, they were trained by Xu Rong, and are now being led by Xu Rong and Zang Ba.

Their combat capabilities can’t be questioned, especially with their equipment and Arched saddle, the cavalry units under Lie Fan are the best on the land now, in terms of equipment and saddle.

Zang Ba and Xu Rong’s hit-and-run attack exhausted the Yellow Turbans because they had to turn their heads and be prepared in case they were the target. Both Xu Rong and Zang Ba sometimes also do a fake attack, which exhausts them even more.

The Yellow Turbans never faced an experienced army like this, the soldiers under Liu Dai’s command were very easy to kill, and Zhou Chang alongside Pei Yuan Shao managed to hit back Liu Dai’s army every time.

At this time the Main army arrived, Huang Zhong and Taishi Ci alongside Ling Cao and Ze Rong led through the front line, and Chao Bo hung back in the rear, leading the archers to shoot at the enemies.

Huang Zhong and Taishi Ci becomes like a beast in the sea of Yellow Turban’s army, with their enormous strength they slice through and break the Yellow Turban’s bodies like a piece of paper, especially the ones without armor.

Ling Cao and Ze Rong are also a force to be reckoned with, but they also show their leadership experience by leading the units to attack the Yellow Turbans efficiently.

Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao knew that if they didn’t do something soon, they would be defeated so they attacked Huang Zhong who was near their position together.

Huang Zhong notices their killing intent, and turns his body to fave the two of them. Huang Zhong received their attack with his Glaive, he could feel that Zhou Cang’s strength was pretty good while Pei Yuan Shao was only so-so.

Huang Zhong: ”Haha the two of you are the Commanders of these bastards right?! You have some pretty good strength, especially you black face you are pretty good.”

Zhou Cang: ”What?! Black Face?! You will regret calling me that, Brother Pei let’s teach this guy a lesson!”

Pei Yuan Shao: ”Okay Brother Cang I follow your lead!”

Huang Zhong: ”Haha come! If you can receive my attack and survive, I will recommend you to My Lord! He likes to redeem bastards like you to join the greater good!”

Both Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao were stunned at first, this was the first time they heard that Lie Fan was recruiting Yellow Turban generals. Because all they have ever heard was, that the Yellow Turban general who meets with Lie Fan is dead.

Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao are dueling against Huang Zhong, they don’t expect to meet such a strong man they don’t realize that the one they are facing is Dian Wei, one of the men who defeated Lu Bu.

Because they are too focused on facing Dian Wei, the Yellow Turbans without their leadership soon enter a state of disarray, it was at this time Lie Fan led the rest of the armies to join the attack.

The addition of the army under Lie Fan’s leadership accelerated the defeat of the Yellow Turbans, Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao whenever they wanted to order the Yellow Turbans to retreat, or they wanted to retreat weren’t given a chance by Dian Wei.

The Yellow Turban being headless without their leader, some began to surrender while others tried to run away. Lie Fan approached Dian Wei who is dueling Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao.

Lie Fan can see the exhausted faces on both of them, especially Pei Yuan Shao so he orders Huang Zhong to knock them out quickly, as they don’t have much time to waste.

Huang Zhong hearing Lie Fan’s order makes a big move where both Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao are thrown away, making them fall down and that’s when Huang Zhong hits them on the head to faint them out.

With Zhou Cang and Pei Yuan Shao captured, Lie Fan and his army cleansed up the great of the Yellow Turbans, making Lie Fan receive 5,000 prisoners to handle.

On Cao Cao’s side, the same thing happened as Cao Cao killed many Yellow Turbans and captured some of them to bolster his army, with how efficient and terrifying Cao Cao and Lie Fan’s army, in the future, this will be known as the Jibei’s Bloodbath.

Going to the other side of the land, in Chang’An since the confrontation between Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu, their relationship has worsened and they enter a cold war.

Lu Bu disdained Dong Zhuo, not knowing how could he have been so blind before, to not see the beast attracted to his daughter.

Lady Yan and Lu Lingqi were shocked when they heard about this, especially Lu Lingqi as she never expected the man she treated as her grandfather to have such a thought about her, making her feel disgusted and even throw up when she heard it.

The relations between the Xiliang Army under Dong Zhuo and the Bing Army under Lu Bu also worsened, showing their disdain toward each other openly. Wang Yun and his companions as the biggest winner, finally invited Lu Bu to a banquet.

Lu Bu is a simple man when someone invites him to a banquet, he agrees as he sees this free food and wine, he brings Zhang Liao and Gao Shun along with him as protection.

The Banquet was held at Wang Yun’s mansion, it was a private banquet so it wasn’t announced to the whole Chang’An. When Lu Bu arrived with Zhang Liao and Gao Shun, Wang Yun personally received him.

Wang Yun escort him and his retainers toward their table, where when they entered the main hall, Lu Bu can see familiar faces, especially Dong Cheng.

Lu Bu, Zhang Liao, and Gao Shun sit at their designated seat, that’s when Wang Yun raises his cup to welcome the three of them and ask for a toast to everyone to welcome them.

Everyone follows Wang Yun’s lead, and Lu Bu and his retailers also follow suit, don’t feel suspicious that there’s something amiss for now.

Wang Yun: ”General Lu Bu, General Zhang Liao, and General Gao Shun thank you for agreeing to my invitation to come to this banquet.”

Lu Bu: ”Hmph I came here because I saw the chance to enjoy free food and wine, but I see that you only invited me as a guest, while the others are all your friends.”

Wang Yun: ”Haha of course, like our previous banquet you come, this is just a normal gathering. It’s just that I have something to as to General Ku Bu, may I?”

Lu Bu: ”Ask away, if it’s important military intel I would not answer your question.”

Wang Yun: ”Oh of course not, I will not and about that. What I wanted to ask is, how is the condition of Young Lady Lu after the rumor about Lord Dong Zhuo fancies her?”

Lu Bu hearing this becomes angry, he throws the cup in his hand to the ground. Zhang Liao and Gao Shun tense their body, preparing to hold Lu Bu back in case he does something extreme.

Wang Yun saw this, and he apologize to Lu Bu. He says that he is only concerned about the well-being of Lu Lingqi, as Dong Zhuo not only terrorizes the people, he even terrorizes his foster granddaughter.

Lu Bu just give Wang Yun a cold face and told Wang Yun to get to his point. Lu Bu is a simple man but not stupid, he realizes now that this banquet is not just a normal banquet.

Wang Yiun: ”All right then if that’s what General Lu Bu wants, I have received a secret imperial edict from your majesty the Emperor, it was for you General Lu Bu.”

Lu Bu: ”Huh?! For me? Give it to me!”

Lu Bu received the edict, opened it, and when he saw the content, he was surprised as it was telling him to assassinate Dong Zhuo. The Emperor must have heard about his relationship with Dong Zhuo right now and now they can’t reconcile.

Lu Bu also sees the reward promised by The Emperor if he followed his order, a peerage and promotion even an official court title. Lu Bu outs down the edict, giving it to Zhang Liao and Gao Shun who read the edict together.

Lu Bu: ”Si this is why you have been inviting me to your banquets, It’s not just the Emperor who planned this right, he is still a child. Wang Yun and Dong Cheng, the two of you are truly an old fox.”

Wang Yun: ”Haha General Lu Bu’s praise is too high for me, I and Dong Cheng are only following the Emperor’s order. Now it’s in General Lu Bu’s hands, the decision to accept this edit or not.”

Zhang Liao: ”General, if we truly do this I’m afraid that the number of our army can’t contest against the Xiliang Army under Li Jue and Guo Si, who will surely realize that Dong Zhuo is dead.”

Lu Bu: ”Humph those two can’t even defeat me, what are we afraid of?! Old Man Wang Yun I accept this edict, but you should know I accept this not because of The Emperor, but to kill that pervert who lusted my daughter!”

Wang Yun: ”Whatever General Lu Bu’s reasons are, Your Majesty will keep his promise of the rewards he promised to you. Looks like from now on we are allies! Let’s have a toast to commemorate this!”

Dong Cheng: ”Welcome General Lu Bu! For now, let’s let Dong Zhuo feel safe before killing him, let’s lay low for a while!”

Seeing that the plan is a success, Dong Cheng and the others are ecstatic, agreeing to the toast enthusiastically. Zhang Liao and Gao Shun looked at each other, they knew that the decision that Lu Bu just made, would bring a new round of Chaos to the land, opening a new era of war.
