When the banquet was held, Lie Fan’s retainers who guard the border of Xu Province all returned to attend the banquet, the birth of their young master and young last who will be the future of the Lie Clan’s bloodline. Expensive Gifts also arrived at the Lie Clan Residence, coming from all the Warlords that wanted to have good ties with Lie Fan.

Lie Fan told Jia Xu to inform Cai Yong to make letters of appreciation for the gifts that had been sent by each warlord, especially Cao Cao and Sun Jian as they sent the most expensive ones.

Lie Fan’s banquet was also a place of reunion for his retainers, where his generals welcomed the new addition of Ling Cao, Ren Jun, and Xu Rong. His advisors also welcome Zhang Feng, trying to make him feel accepted.

Ying Yue doesn’t join the banquet due to her still recovering from giving birth, also she wants to accompany Chenchen and Yaoyao the two cuties. Yu Yan accompanies Ying Yue with Diao Chan and Cai Wenji, so Lie Fan doesn’t invite the female companion of his guests.

At the banquet, Lie Fan drank wine and received toast after toast of congratulations for the birth of his son and daughter, Lie Fan drank all the wine easily thanks to the anti-drunk pill he swallowed before.

Lie Shang, Zhu Jun, Huangfu Song, and Lu Zhi the old timers drink wine happily, as they finally meet for the first time in years. Zhu Jun, Huangfu Song, and Lu Zhi since their enviousness of Lie Shang for having such a great son.

Hua Tuo, Zhang Zhongjin, and Cai Yong were drinking together at the corner but were soon invited by Lie Shang to join his table. Hua Tuo and Cai Yong are his in-laws, so Lie Shang invited them to join his table.

Lie Fan sits with his advisors, discussing small things with them. Lie Fan puts importance on Chenchen and Yaoyao’s education, Yaoyao will be educated by Cai Wenji as she is more than qualified, the problem is Chenchen as Lie Fan has too many advisors to choose from.

As Lie Fan’s number one advisor, Jia Xu suggests that Chenchen receive the same education as Sima Lang and Sima Yi so that Chenchen will be versatile in all knowledge, and learn martial arts from Lie Fan himself, Huang Zhong, and Dian Wei.

Chen Qun agrees with this, a ruler should be versatile and Lie Fan is one of the best examples. Xun You also agree, that even if Chenchen can’t master the skill, at least he has basic knowledge of it.

Lie Fan nodded his head, and he agreed with the three of them, when Chechen reaches a suitable age maybe 5 or 6 he will begin his tutoring under his advisors, and at 7 he will begin training in martial arts.

The banquet goes on until evening, when the banquet ends Lie Fan escorts all the guests leaving the residence. Lie Fan then after taking a shower, goes to sleep in Ying Yue’s room as she could have got postpartum if there was a lack of social support.

The next day, Lie Fan played with Chenchen and Yaoyao with Ying Yue, Diao Chan, Cai Wenji, and Wannian. Wannian was mesmerized by the cuteness of Chenchen and Yaoyao, she likes to play with her niece and nephew.

Lie Clan’s residence with the arrival of their new family members, becomes more lively as sometimes the crying sound of babies can be heard. Lie Fan feels that he truly belongs to this world for the first time, having his own complete family.

Two months passed by and they entered the year 191 AD, and Lie Fan received reports from Ren Jun and Mi Zhu the previous month that they finally harvested potatoes.

Ren Jun reported that he decided to plant almost all of the harvested potatoes, while the rest were being used as a trial test for the soldiers to try and see if the potatoes could last long as staple food.

Lie Fan agrees with Ren Jun’s decision, and he tells Ren Jun and Mi Zhu that he gives the decision-making power to the two of them. Everything is going smoothly, and Lie Fan soldiers have reached 150,000 men in total now being trained by Ling Cao, Xu Rong, and Ze Rong.

Right now Lie Fan is working in his office when Jia Xu and Chen Qun enter his office abruptly, Lie Fan raises his head and sees that Jia Xu hands Lie Fan a report, Lie Fan takes it and opens it. When he sees the content, Lie Fan was surprised by it.

Jia Xu: ”My Lord, Liu Dai has just been killed when fighting against the Yellow Turbans, and we have received reports that Bao Xin invited Cao Cao to become the Governor of Yan.”

Chen Qun: ”As Cao Cao’s allies we need to give him our support, and work together in eliminating the Yellow Turbans threat.”

Lie Fan: ”I agree, we have 40,000 recruits that needed first-hand experience in battle, we can work together with Huang Zhong and Taishi Ci to fight against the Yellow Turbans.”

Jia Xu: ” My Lord, Cao Cao will definitely need some time to swallow the entirety of Liu Dai’s territory, do we need to have Dian Wei intimidate Yuan Shu’s army so that they would not take this chance to reap some benefits?”

Lie Fan: ”Of course, you can do that I agree, Chen Qun told the army to be on standby and have Ren Jun prepare the supplies for our army.”

Jia Xu and Chen Qun receive the order, and soon the entirety of Xiapi knows that the army mobilizing Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji ask Lie Fan what happened, as they heard that the army was mobilized.

Lie Fan explains to them that it’s time for him to honor his promise to Cao Cao as part of the alliance treaty, so he would need to lead his army to help Cao Cao consolidate his power in Yan Province and attack the Yellow Turbans at the same time.

Hearing that Lie Fan is going out to war again makes Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji worried, especially Ying Yue who has just given birth to Lie Muchen and Lie Meng Yao. Lie Fan hugs each and every one of them, telling them to not worry as everything will be just fine.

Lie Fan’s army needed one day to mobilize, so Lie Fan ordered Jia Xu to send two letters the first letter to Cao Cao, telling him that we knew about what happened, and that now we would honor part of the treaty.

The second letter is to Dian Wei, to do some military exercises where Yuan Shu’s army doesn’t dare to leave Shouchun, which will make Yuan Shu doesn’t have enough military force to real some benefits.

Lie Fan spends his time with his family eating lunch and dinner together, and at night he sleeps in Ying Yue’s room to reduce her anxiety so that she would not get postpartum depression because of the lack of his support.

The next day, when Lie Fan woke up from his sleep he saw that Ying Yue had woken up as the place beside him was empty, he changed his clothes adorned his armor that was placed in his study, and headed towards the baby room where Chenchen and Yaoyao is.

There he saw Ying Yue playing with them, Lie Fan entered the room surprising Ying Yue who turned her head around, and when she saw Lie Fan dressed in his armor, she knew that her husband would truly go out to war again leading his army.

Lie Fan approached the baby crib, seeing Chenchen and Yaoyao already wake up, he played with them for some time and then kissed them on their chubby cheeks, he turned to Ying Yue and hugged her as well kissing her to alleviate her worrying about him.

Ying Yue hugs Lie Fan tightly, telling him to go back home safely, as there’s Chenchen and Yaoyao are waiting for him now, not just her, Diao Chan, Cai Wenji, and Wannian.

Lie Fan promised and after giving her one last kiss, Lie Fan released his hold and left the room, Ying Yue was sad and maybe Chenchen and Yaoyao could feel her sadness, as they were babbling attracting Ying Yue’s attention.

At the entrance of the Lie Clan residence, Lie Fan sees Diao Chan and Cai Wenji waiting for him there, alongside 4 of his strongest bodyguards who will follow him to battle.

Just like with Ying Yue, he hugged, kissed, and assured them that he would go back home safely, also he asked them to take care of Ying Yue, as after giving birth a women can be very sensitive and needs attention also support from her family.

Lie Fan gets on his horse Pangu, waves his hand says goodbye to Diao Chan and Cai Wenji, and then rides toward the army camp with his bodyguards, on the way there, they pass through a deserted passage, where Lie Fan takes out his halberd.

At the army camp, Lie Fan’s army is ready. This army is composed of almost infantries, with 20,000 of them being infantries, 10,000 archers, and 10,000 cavalry. The Tian Mao Battalion also stands ready, with full combat power of 9,000 men.

When Lie Fan arrived, he immediately led his army to march without giving a speech, as time was of the essence and they needed to hurry. Jia Xu and Chen Qun have boarded their carriage, where they followed Lie Fan from behind protected by the Tian Mao Battalion.

On Chenliu, Cao Cao is facing his 50,000 men standing tall. After Bao Xin’s letter arrived at his court, Xi Zhicai and Xun Yu immediately advised Cao Cal to agree as tho was part of making his usurping of Liu Dai’s title legitimate.

Xi Zhicai also said that Lie Fan must have known about Liu Dai’s death at the hands of the Yellow Turbans, so they needed to mobilize the army and prepare to go to Puyang to usurp the governor title and then eliminate the threats of the Yellow Turbans once and for all.

Cao Cao was persuaded by his advisors, so that’s why he was standing here today. Yesterday they received Lie Fan’s letter, in which he mobilized his army and prepared an announcement that when he usurped Liu Dai’s title and control of Yan Province, he would be the first to recognize his rule, and together they would defeat the Yellow Turbans problem.
