Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

After confirming that the Black Mist Spirit Ability User wouldn’t be in danger for the time being, Chen Ming just tossed him aside for now.

What Chen Ming was most interested in at the moment was still that pitch-black Enlightenment Nerve.

This set of Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve had now been completely extracted and was being preserved in a storage tank filled with Nutrient Liquid.

It was still full of vitality, as if it only needed to be implanted and it would be able to provide its power to a new owner.

Of course, that was only how it looked. This Enlightenment Nerve clearly still needed to go through cultivation, letting it first adapt to the environment after leaving the human body, and only then moving on to the next stage of experiments.

But the fact that it looked so active could in a way prove how fresh this Enlightenment Nerve was.

In any case, that was not a bad thing.

Chen Ming was quite satisfied with this outcome.

As for the next use of this Enlightenment Nerve, Chen Ming actually hadn’t decided yet.

First of all, there was no way the Enlightenment Nerve could be directly handed over to anyone other than himself.

Because the very existence of the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor itself was a kind of threat to any Psychic.

Even if the Shimmering Civilization actually had more than one Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor and sooner or later another one would be found by the Empire.

Chen Ming was absolutely not going to take the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor and openly show what it could do.

That would definitely not be a good thing for Psychics.

Since he couldn’t hand it over, then Chen Ming could only digest it internally himself.

Simply digesting it physically was definitely not an option; he had to use some other method to digest the power of the Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve.

And although An Wuping looked like the most suitable subject for an implantation experiment, An Wuping had inside his body a Chaos Core that mixed multiple Spiritual Energy effects.

And this Chaos Core itself already possessed the power of Black Mist.

So An Wuping actually didn’t need this Enlightenment Nerve.

Chen Ming was somewhat tempted to use it on his current prosthetic body; at worst, it would just turn into a Mind Breaking Entity.

Even if it did, it wouldn’t matter. Chen Ming would just destroy his own prosthetic, then collect the Chaos Origin.

However, he had another option, which was to make a new prosthetic body.

After experiencing Crimson, Chen Ming’s mental strength had increased significantly.

Controlling more prosthetics at the same time was no longer a problem.

And a prosthetic body possessing Black Mist Spiritual Energy would definitely be a pretty good choice.

But it came with issues as well, because in the public eye, the Black Mist Spirit Ability User had already been killed by him during the assassination attempt on him and Bai Quan.

If another Black Mist Spirit Ability User appeared in action, there was a high chance someone would connect it to him and suspect that he possessed the ability to control living organisms.

So Chen Ming was still hesitating about the next use of this Enlightenment Nerve.

He was even thinking about this: what had the Shimmering Civilization originally Manufactured the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor for?

If he figured that out, he might get some ideas.

He still had time.

After all, the Enlightenment Nerve had already been extracted and could be preserved for a long time.

As for the next step of implantation experiments, Chen Ming actually didn’t have a clear plan yet.

Because the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor only handled extraction, not implantation.

And Chen Ming had relied purely on equipment to extract the Enlightenment Nerve; when it came to implantation, that went without saying.

If he wanted to perform an Enlightenment Nerve implantation, he had to study.

He needed to wander around the Spiritual Ability Research Institute and the Shimmering Civilization Research Institute a couple of times.

That was why, when he had previously told He Gu what project he wanted to participate in, he chose that project called the ”Artificial Spiritual Awakening Neural Specialization Cultivation Plan.”

This project wasn’t just about cultivating special Enlightenment Nerves.

Implantation of Enlightenment Nerves was also an essential part of this project’s experiments.

Chen Ming could completely learn by following along, and he could even directly participate in some research projects on Enlightenment Nerve implantation surgeries.

It was precisely because this project was related to the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor and also had an implantation phase that Chen Ming chose it.

He still needed to spend some time preparing for the implantation of an Enlightenment Nerve and the second extraction of an Enlightenment Nerve.

Then, based on the results of the second Enlightenment Nerve extraction and the results of the first Enlightenment Nerve implantation experiment, he would decide how to deal with Yan Xiong going forward.

He still needed time.

Just as Chen Ming had sorted out what his main body needed to do over this upcoming period—

Chen Ming suddenly received an urgent message.

His Cruiser had been attacked.

It was that Giant Level Cruiser transporting Energy Crystal Crabs into Empire territory that had been attacked by the Mechanical Race.
