Chapter 96: Chapter 68: Capturing the Ship_3

One of them is a heavy guard ship with thick armor and strong frontal firepower, a model Chen Ming had never seen before, and its specific name is unknown.

The other one, from its appearance, looks very much like a class known to Chen Ming as the Warrior Level guard ship.

However, although the design of this type of ship under the military’s command is somewhat similar to the Warrior Level, in some critical areas, it is very different from the Warrior Level Chen Ming knows.

Chen Ming remembers that the Warrior Level, like most military ships, is heavily armored and heavily armed, but with relatively poor maneuverability.

But now, although this type in the military also retains the two advantages, the disadvantages have almost entirely disappeared.

Chen Ming is very curious about this type of ship he has never seen before, so he made his capture request to the Gamma AI.

Gamma AI had no objections.

It immediately gave up a military ship that could be captured right away.

Following Chen Ming’s words, it began looking for opportunities in the corners of various battlefields to capture these two types of ships.

Opportunities, as long as you carefully search for them, can always be found.

Refraction Level only stayed near the front line for a few minutes.

Chen Ming already saw a heavy guard ship, its shield breached and overloading, covered with arcs and completely vulnerable, floating in space and on the brink of destruction.

Before Chen Ming could remind anyone, Gamma AI had already sent a request for assistance and a ceasefire signal to the adjacent Dusk ships that had caused the heavy guard ship’s overload.

Those Dusk ships immediately ceased fire upon receiving the signal from Refraction Level.

Allowing Refraction Level to approach, it obliterated all the ship’s electronics via an electromagnetic pulse and captured it.

Meanwhile, the people on the ship took advantage of the capture interval to board an escape pod and flee.

Neither Gamma AI nor the other Dusk ships made any attempt to attack the escape pod, simply allowing them to escape.

Soon, the heavy guard ship was alongside Iron Ore No. within the capture chamber.

Chen Ming hadn’t had time to inspect the newly captured heavy guard ship.

The opportunity to capture another ship had already presented itself before him.

This capture was even simpler.

Because this ship had already had its engines disabled by weapons from another Dusk destroyer, the people aboard had taken to escape pods long before.

Leaving only the ship behind, Refraction Level merely needed to proceed and secure the ship to complete the task.

Once Refraction Level fixed the second ship in the chamber using electromagnetic chains, Chen Ming asked Gamma AI: ”Is the data from the two ships sufficient?”

”Yes, it is sufficient. I now need to activate the equipment to scan these two ships and upload the data to command, which may cause some vibrations on your ship. I hope you understand.”

”No problem, just proceed.”

The mechanical equipment inside the chamber began to operate.

Among a pile of machinery, Chen Ming couldn’t directly interact with the two ships, so he simply leaned against the porthole and observed.

At this moment, Chen Ming suddenly noticed that there seemed to be an escape pod stuck under the heavy guard ship’s hull, unable to launch successfully.

Chen Ming immediately instructed Gamma AI to extract the escape pod and place it in front of Iron Ore No.

Through the escape pod’s semi-transparent window, he could see the person inside was already dead, his protective suit helmet covered in blood, the surface of the helmet completely shattered.

It appeared to be the result of an impact or something similar.

Gamma AI quickly completed the scan of the heavy guard ship, and there were no other bodies aboard, suggesting only one unlucky soul.

After Refraction Level finished scanning the other ship, and the mechanical equipment was fully retracted,

Chen Ming left Iron Ore No. and approached the escape pod, opening it.

After a quick search, he found a personal terminal and a military ID tag inside.

Nothing else was found.

The personal terminal’s contents were locked, and Chen Ming didn’t have the energy to crack it at the moment, so he stored it away to deal with later.

At this point, Refraction Level suddenly received a message from the Dusk cruiser requesting Gamma AI to report on the capture situation.

Gamma AI promptly sent back the information on the heavy guard ship that had already been scanned.

Then replied, ”The scanning process for the remaining ships is still ongoing.”

The cruiser only sent a communication termination signal and did not inquire further.

However, since it had the time to confirm the ships captured by Refraction Level, it indicated that the battle situation was likely already determined.

Chen Ming looked outside once again.

At this time, half of the military outpost had already been destroyed.

The warehouse had long been opened, and that batch of Sky Steel was likely acquired by Dusk.

The three remaining operational cruisers seemed to have completely abandoned protecting the outpost and were regrouping the remaining fleet, safeguarding surviving forces, and preparing to retreat at any time.

Now, Chen Ming really only needed to loiter around the battlefield’s edges and wait for the remaining sporadic battles to conclude.

So Chen Ming pressed his hand against the heavy guard ship’s hull.

Transferring control over to the Sentinel Level.

Soon, the panel of the heavy guard ship appeared in front of Chen Ming.
