Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 79: Chapter 64 Dusk AI Core

Before officially starting to handle the Dusk Destroyer, Chen Ming first placed his hand on the hull of the Dusk Destroyer.

Although only half of the ship remained, a prompt to replace the spaceship also appeared in his mind.

Chen Ming directly chose to replace it.

Immediately, he felt a wave of exhaustion rising to his heart, more intense than any previous modification or repair of a spaceship.

Chen Ming could clearly sense his spiritual power rapidly depleting, causing his consciousness to become somewhat blurred.

However, fortunately, this feeling did not last long and quickly disappeared.

In fact, after the surge of exhaustion, Chen Ming felt that the exhaustion was actually not so bad, much like pulling an all-nighter and going through a tough point, daring to do it again next time.

The reason Chen Ming did this at the outset was because Dusk’s ship was designed very differently from human ships.

The most obvious aspect is that Dusk’s ships are solid.

The interior is filled with various mechanical devices, with no space left for humans or any other pilot.

If one were to completely disassemble this Dusk Destroyer, even with only half the ship remaining and still over fifty meters long from the outside to the inside, it would definitely be impossible without a lot of engineering machinery and spending a month or two.

So Chen Ming chose the simplest method, directly using the panel.

Although the panel did not have a one-click spaceship disassembly function, it still had the disassembly function, and there were some areas that Chen Ming could utilize.

Chen Ming conveniently opened the panel.

[Spaceship Panel]

[Ship Name: None]

[Type: Radiant Level Unmanned Destroyer]

[Fuel Storage: 85%]

[Armor: Radiant Energy Resonance Armor]

[Engine: Dusk Heavy Destroyer Level Custom Engine]

[Important Equipment: Dusk Gamma Level AI Core (Dormant), Control System Module (Damaged), Landing Module (Damaged), High-Energy Focusing System Module (Damaged), Superspace Navigation System Module (Damaged), Advanced Optical Device (Missing), Full-angle Shield Module (Missing), Target Positioning System (Missing), Radiant Energy System (Damaged)]

[Note: Some functions cannot be displayed due to hull damage]

Looking at the greatly reduced data and numerous damaged or missing important components on the panel, Chen Ming felt a bit heartbroken.

However, since things had already happened, he didn’t dwell on it too much and continued opening the spaceship’s three-dimensional imaging.

Through the three-dimensional imaging, Chen Ming could see the positions of the different spaceship modules that had not yet been lost on the remaining half of the hull.

This naturally included the Dusk AI Core controlling the ship.

Moreover, Chen Ming discovered that this half of the Dusk Destroyer could actually be repaired.

In the corner of the panel, where Chen Ming first encountered the Iron Ore No., the spaceship repair guide popped up again.

However, repairing the Iron Ore No. and repairing this half of the Dusk Destroyer had a substantial difference.

Because the panel displayed that repairing the destroyer required a lot, a significant amount of materials.

Enough to completely restore the seventy or eighty meters of the Radiant Level’s hull that was destroyed by the Death God Torpedo.

And it required not only ordinary materials, but also various advanced metals occupying many lines on the repair spaceship panel, including some specialized materials Chen Ming had never heard of.

After all, this is still a destroyer, and this destroyer is also of the larger, heavier type.

The money required to purchase materials to repair half of such a ship was astronomical for Chen Ming at the moment.

There was definitely no way to repair it, so the best way for Chen Ming to handle it was to take away its valuable items and sell the remaining somewhat intact frame to the Space Station.

Anyway, this half of the ship, in Chen Ming’s hands, basically only had one outlet, which was to sell it for money.

With most of the important equipment in the spacecraft’s interior missing, Chen Ming couldn’t think of a reason to keep this spaceship.

Even the value for dismantling and research could essentially be considered non-existent.

Not to mention, the value of gathering materials to manufacture half a Dusk Destroyer versus an already manufactured half a Dusk Destroyer is evidently higher when you think about it.

If dismantled, the loss of value during this process couldn’t be compensated for.

Retaining the good parts and selling the framework was a simple, convenient, and suitable handling method for Chen Ming.

It wasn’t until Chen Ming actually started that he discovered the AI Core and the damaged Radiant Energy System couldn’t be directly dismantled with the panel.

The Radiant Energy System, which covered the entire Radiant Level of the ship, couldn’t be dismantled was understandable, but the AI Core not being dismantlable left him somewhat puzzled.

Fortunately, the High-Energy Focusing System Module was unaffected, and could be directly removed.

This is a device that can enhance the power of shipborne energy weapons.

However, as Chen Ming didn’t currently have any energy weapons and lacked the materials to repair it, he put it on the Iron Ore No. for a while, planning to study it later.

Then he picked up a cutting tool made of special metals, donned the protective suit, and went to the location shown on the three-dimensional imaging that was the shortest distance to the Dusk AI Core inside the spaceship.

Watching the panel, he began to work.

After being busy for nearly two hours, by late night,

Chen Ming finally cut a deep enough incision on the spaceship.

At the end of this incision, there was a space barely enough for a person to reach an arm inside.
