Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Grave RobberIf this coffin was made of gold, it wouldn’t be difficult to open, but I’m afraid there might be some strange things mixed inside.

To avoid damaging the contents, Lin Feng did not choose to use the Charging Pistol.

After all, the power of the Charging Pistol is hard to control, and what if he accidentally shattered the contents?

Moreover, Lin Feng had some ideas about this coffin.

He would see if he could put it into the material stacking area later; after all, it was an upgrade material.

“I need to be careful opening this thing,” Lin Feng thought to himself, rummaging through the Elevator.

Soon, he left the Elevator with his Tang Dao and an electric saw.

Lin Feng planned to first use the Tang Dao to see if he could find a seam, then use the electric saw to cut it open directly, or just use the electric saw to cut it open if he couldn’t find a seam.

As the Tang Dao was drawn, a raging flame immediately ignited on its blade.

When the Tang Dao approached the golden coffin, something magical happened.

The coffin, which had been perfectly smooth moments before, now had a groove.

After Lin Feng drew a circle on the coffin with his Tang Dao, the gap between the coffin lid and the coffin body finally appeared.

“What kind of mechanism is this??”

Lin Feng touched the suddenly appearing gap, his face full of surprise as he spoke.

He had tried to touch it before, but couldn’t feel anything.

Now that there was a gap, the rest would be easy.

Lin Feng inserted the Tang Dao into the gap, then walked around the coffin, and a sound of air leaking came from inside the coffin.

After a while, Lin Feng exerted force with both hands, and with the help of his battle armor, he directly lifted the coffin lid.

There were only two corpses in the coffin, one was just bones, and the other was still clothed; besides that, there was nothing else.

Hmm? Wait, why does this clothed corpse look so familiar??

Holy cow! Isn’t this the Floor Merchant? How did he die here??

Lin Feng put away his Tang Dao, found a wooden stick, and poked the Floor Merchant’s “corpse.”

“Dead?”

“Not dead.”

“Damn it! He’s alive again!”

“I’m sorry to have startled you. First of all, thank you very much for saving my life. I accidentally fell into this trap three days ago and couldn’t get out.”

The Floor Merchant pushed away the wooden stick Lin Feng was poking him with and stood up.

However, his height was still shorter than the coffin, making him look very comical.

This seemed to be the shortest Floor Merchant Lin Feng had ever seen.

“Is that so…”

Lin Feng nodded, half-believing.

Actually, he wanted to say, what kind of good person uses a golden coffin for a trap, and there’s even an owner in the coffin.

Just then, Lin Feng suddenly thought of a crucial matter.

Could it be that this damned Floor Merchant was locked in this coffin because he was grave robbing?

Anyone who could cast a coffin out of gold must have status and position.

How could there be no burial treasures in the coffin?

Could it be that they were all on this Floor Merchant??

“Ahem, to thank you for saving my life, everything I have here is for sale to you at a 90% discount. See if there’s anything you want.”

The Floor Merchant rubbed his hands, then pulled out their standard small backpack.

From inside, he pulled out a shovel.

“This is… uh, wrong item, wait a moment.”

The Floor Merchant gave an awkward laugh, then quickly shoved the shovel back in.

Seeing this, Lin Feng became even more certain that this guy had attempted grave robbing but failed and was locked in the coffin instead.

So, he must have taken everything from the coffin, right?

“This is a Water-Repelling Bead; carrying it allows you to move freely underwater. This is a Lucky Necklace, and this sword can cut through iron like mud. As for these potions, you should recognize them, so I won’t introduce them further.”

“Are these all the things in this coffin?”

“Of course… What coffin?”

The Floor Merchant quickly dodged the question.

“Hahahaha, never mind. Just tell me the total price.”

Lin Feng waved his hand. Actually, besides the Lucky Ring and the attribute potions, the rest were pretty useless to him.

The Water-Repelling Bead was similar to the Mermaid’s Blessing, and his Tang Dao was definitely better than that sword. However, since he had a rare opportunity for a 90% discount, Lin Feng naturally took everything.

As for the attribute potions, there were five Strength Potions, three Agility Potions, and three Intelligence Potions.

“You don’t have anything else besides these?”

Lin Feng frowned; this 90% discount shopping opportunity felt a bit like a loss.

“Yes, that’s all. Just give me ten gold coins in total.”

Good heavens, these few items were originally worth one hundred gold coins?

Lin Feng secretly thought, “What a scoundrel,” then took out ten gold coins.

“By the way, do you know what a Nightmare Fruit is?”

Lin Feng asked curiously. He had previously obtained Nightmare Wood through a lottery, which was said to be the main material for making Nightmare Fruit, but Lin Feng really didn’t know what the Nightmare Fruit was for.

However, judging by the name, it should be related to dreams.

“Nightmare Fruit? That thing is used to counter nightmares. But you don’t look like you’ve encountered a nightmare. Why are you asking?”

“Then do you know what Nightmare Fruit is made of?”

“Grind Nightmare Wood into powder and sprinkle it on a golden apple, and it will turn into a Nightmare Fruit. Oh, a friendly reminder: don’t eat that stuff casually; it’s not good for your health.”

After the Floor Merchant finished speaking, he put the gold coins in his pocket and then ran off in a flash.

Watching the Floor Merchant’s retreating back, Lin Feng thoughtfully stroked his chin.

This Floor Merchant definitely got something good from the coffin.

Damn it, he really doesn’t know how to do business.

Now, it was time to throw this golden coffin into the material stacking area.

With the help of his battle armor, Lin Feng could easily lift this golden coffin. He dragged it all the way back to the Elevator and directly threw it into the material stacking area.

“Phew, next, let’s see if I can catch some other animals. I’m tired of eating beef all the time.”

After switching to the Technology Rhinoceros Horn Bow, Lin Feng controlled his battle armor to fly into the sky.

At this time, the Little Velociraptor had not been idle.

It had already hunted three prairie deer.

The deer herd, upon seeing the death of their companions, became exceptionally united. Several strong stags even stepped forward, wanting to resist the Little Velociraptor.

However, the Little Velociraptor was not to be trifled with; after all, the Body Strengthening Pill and those attribute-boosting items couldn’t be eaten for nothing.

Plus, it was inherently very agile.

So, each time it faced an attack from a stag, it could easily dodge and then rush into the deer herd to randomly bite and kill a prairie deer.

Before long, the deer herd began to scatter and flee.

Would Lin Feng let them escape? Did they think his Rhinoceros Horn Bow was just for show?

After calling back the Little Velociraptor, Lin Feng drew his bowstring, and then dozens of translucent Laser Arrows flew into the air, shooting like homing bullets towards the scattering deer herd.

Under Lin Feng’s control, the number of arrows was neither too many nor too few, just enough to kill all the prairie deer.
