After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1900: Chapter 1904: No Unruliness Allowed

Lei Qingqing frowned, deeply repulsed by his behavior, but she held back from bursting into anger.

This time, they intended to use Mr. ROY to defeat Luo Ke, so they had to maintain cordial relations with him. Otherwise, the Butterfly Knife hidden in her sleeve would have already been used.

Ding!

The elevator halted on the sixth floor, and the doors slowly parted.

”Mr. ROY, please!”

Lei Wenting led the way out of the elevator, and Lei Qingqing stepped out to join him. Unexpectedly, Leng Zirui moved at the same time, his arm inadvertently sweeping by, just brushing against her thigh.

Heavens be my witness, Leng Zirui was truly innocent.

His earlier actions were merely an act; he had no interest in this woman.

It was all pure coincidence.

As she felt his hand brush against her thigh, Lei Qingqing’s brow furrowed, and a cold flash appeared in her hand.

Any man daring to take advantage of her would have to pay a price!

Even if the other person was Mr. ROY.

In a split second, Lei Qingqing’s Butterfly Knife slashed towards Leng Zirui’s hand.

Of course, she didn’t intend to actually hurt him; she just wanted to teach him a lesson that not all women were his to touch freely.

Leng Zirui’s pupils contracted, his right hand withdrew and grabbed, his palm flipped over, already employing a wrist-grab technique, clutching her wrist and twisting her arm up.

Lei Qingqing missed with her knife strike, but her other arm swung a punch at him.

Swaying to the side to dodge, Leng Zirui gently hooked his toe, simultaneously dodging her fist and lightly twisting.

Although Lei Qingqing was fierce, she was no match for him; her body swayed, losing balance and falling directly toward the ground.

Leng Zirui retracted his arm, hooked her waist, and supported her body.

Lei Qingqing swung her knife again; he stepped back, righted her body, raised his arm to block her knife-wielding hand, then lightly pinched her cheek.

”Be careful!”

”Qingqing!” Lei Qingqing was about to strike again when Lei Wenting unhappily shouted low, ”Do not be rash!”

With a light snort, Lei Qingqing stood straight, frowning, and stared coldly at Leng Zirui.

”My daughter is impetuous, Mr. ROY, please do not mind.” Lei Wenting smiled apologetically.

”No worries.” Leng Zirui shrugged, ”I appreciate Miss Qing Qing’s straightforwardness.”

”Ha...” Lei Wenting laughed loudly, ”You young people just prefer directness, come, let’s go in and chat.”

Everyone walked into a luxurious private room, Lei Wenting gestured for Leng Zirui to take the prominent seat, indicating Lei Qingqing to accompany him by his side. Despite her reluctance, she sat next to Leng Zirui under his sharp gaze.

Lei Wenting gently clapped his hands, and a waiter immediately stepped in to serve wine and food.

”Qing Qing, pour Mr. ROY some wine.” Lei Qingqing suppressed her anger, poured a glass of wine for Leng Zirui, then Lei Wenting raised his cup, ”Mr. ROY, let’s toast to our first meeting!”

”Alright.” Leng Zirui did not refuse, raised his cup, lightly clinked it with his, and downed the drink in one go.

Lei Wenting immediately signaled Lei Qingqing with a look, indicating her to pour more wine for Leng Zirui, ”Qing Qing, offer Mr. ROY a toast to express your apologies.”

Lei Qingqing gritted her teeth, poured herself a glass, clinked it with Leng Zirui’s, and drank it in one gulp.

Leng Zirui held his glass without drinking, merely toying with it, his fingers gently stroking the base, ”Mr. Lei didn’t invite me over just to drink, did he?!”
