After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1894: Chapter 1898: Let’s Make a Deal

After a moment, the first-aid kit had already been brought in, but when Luo Xiaoqian saw the doctor rushing toward her, she only gripped the piece of glass in her hand even tighter.

”Don’t come any closer!”

From her palm, blood trickled down between her fingers, drop by drop.

Seeing her face go pale with tension, Luo Ke roared again in anger.

”Get out!”

Everyone backed out of the room, leaving only Luo Ke and Luo Xiaoqian inside.

”I’m going to come over now and help you treat the wound. Be good, don’t resist...” Luo Ke carefully took a step toward her. ”I promise, I won’t hurt your child.”

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t believe him at all. Still clutching the shard, she snapped through clenched brows, ”Get back.”

”Sissi, relax a little. Your palm is bleeding. If you don’t treat it, your fingers might end up crippled, and you won’t be able to play the piano anymore...”

Play the piano?!

Luo Xiaoqian let out a cold snort. ”As long as I can protect my Xiao Xiao, I’d rather never play the piano again.”

”His name is Xiao Xiao?” Luo Ke raised a brow. ”All right then. For Xiao Xiao’s sake—if you keep letting the blood flow like this, your own body won’t be able to take it. When that happens, Xiao Xiao will die too...”

Luo Xiaoqian glanced at her palm. ”Throw the stuff over here. I’ll do it myself.”

”Okay.” Luo Ke carefully set the first-aid kit at the corner of the bed. ”I’ll put it here, you treat it yourself, and I’ll step back out. Is that okay?”

”Get out!” Luo Xiaoqian growled.

Frowning, Luo Ke retreated to the door. ”I’ll stay here and watch you. I promise I won’t move an inch, but I have to see you treat the wound.”

Her mind was only filled with worry over whether Xiao Xiao would be affected. Luo Xiaoqian glanced at Luo Ke standing by the door, then carefully loosened her grip on the shard and picked up the first-aid kit from the corner of the bed.

Standing at the door, Luo Ke spoke in a gentle voice, guiding her, ”First clean the wound. Make sure it’s thoroughly clean. Check if there are any glass fragments...”

”Shut up, I know what to do.” Luo Xiaoqian set the bloodstained shard on the table and shot him a look, then finally opened the first-aid kit. She used a cotton swab to wipe the wound. The medicated cotton stung sharply as it touched the cut, making her frown from the pain.

Every time something like this happened, it was Leng Zimo who took care of it for her. Now she had to deal with the wound herself while still guarding against Luo Ke. On top of that, it was her right hand that was injured, so she could only treat it with her left. Naturally, Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t move quickly. She had just wiped away the blood oozing from the wound, and before she could do anything else, fresh blood was already seeping out again.

”Let me help you?” Luo Ke, seeing the way she looked, anxiously took a step forward.

”Don’t come over!” Luo Xiaoqian immediately shouted, then reached for more cotton. But the more flustered she was, the more mistakes she made. Her hand shook, and the bag of cotton balls fell straight onto the carpet.

Luo Ke rushed toward her again.

”I said, don’t come over!”

Luo Xiaoqian bent down to pick the cotton up off the floor, roughly wiped at the wound, and casually wrapped her palm with gauze.

The distance between them had only ever been the length from the bed to the door. After a few quick steps, Luo Ke was already very close. Seeing the gauze soaked through with blood, he only frowned. ”That won’t do. It has to be wrapped tighter, with a layer of clean cotton padding inside.”

”Mind your own business!” Luo Xiaoqian growled in frustration, but in the end she still did as he said, unwrapping the gauze and re-bandaging the wound.

Watching her struggle to tape the gauze in place, Luo Ke finally felt a slight sense of relief. ”Sissi, how about we make a deal?”
