After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1860: Chapter 1864: Not Looking Too Good

”But you don’t have to worry. According to the nurse who handled the situation at the time, she had no injuries on her body. The allergic reaction wasn’t very severe, and... the people who took him for medical treatment not only took the medication but also took the doctor with them. We’ve checked the airport records, and there were a total of ten planes that left the airport around that time. As for Locke and the others, they wouldn’t be taking a regular plane. Among those ten planes, three were private jets, one flew to America, and the other two were headed to Europe, with destinations being Russia and France. Of course... we can’t be sure they wouldn’t change routes at another airport.”

Huangfu Ao observed his expression, seeing him relatively calm before continuing, ”South Korea is currently in communication with the two airports; news should come soon.”

”Sir!” Ah Sang looked at Leng Zimo worriedly. ”Brother Jiu called earlier to say Cheang Xiao’s condition... is not very good!”

Leng Zimo pressed his lips together, ”Coordinate with the airport, we’re heading back to Qingdao first.”

”Alright.” Ah Sang agreed, turning to leave.

”You’ll head back first. I’ll stay here to continue the investigation. Any clues, I’ll notify you immediately.” Huangfu Ao patted Leng Zimo’s shoulder, ”I just spoke with the nurse. According to her, Locke really took care of Xiao Qian. He... probably won’t harm her.”

Leng Zimo bit his teeth, remaining silent.

Locke wouldn’t kill her; he believed that. But as for other matters, whether Locke would do them, he hardly dared to think about it.

Leng Zimo understood Luo Xiaoqian’s temperament too well.

That girl seemed gentle, but she was inherently stubborn and persistent. Her personality was one of ’rather break than bend’; she would absolutely not accept the things Locke did to her.

When her stubbornness clashes with Locke’s strong personality, the consequences would be severe. That... is what worried him the most.

”Sir, the plane is ready for takeoff,” Ah Sang ran over.

”Alright.” Leng Zimo suppressed the restless emotions in his heart, ”Huangfu, I’m counting on you.”

”Go on.” Huangfu Ao patted his shoulder again, ”Remember to check on Mo Mo. That child doesn’t seem to be in a good mood either. With what’s happened, you and Xiao Qian aren’t around. I’m afraid he won’t handle it.”

Leng Zimo nodded, turned, and hurried towards the plane.

He was worried about Luo Xiaoqian, desperately wanting to find her as soon as possible.

Yet reason told him staying here wouldn’t help; rushing over might even waste time.

Moreover, he couldn’t ignore Cheang Xiao.

That person had been by his side for many years, a good brother who literally put his life on the line for him.

Although he seemed cold to everyone, in his heart, whether it was Ah Jiu or Cheang Xiao or Ah Sang, they all held significant places. He just didn’t like to show it.

As the plane quickly took off, Ah Sang handed him a glass of water, which Leng Zimo only took a reluctant sip of, then stopped.

That sip of water lodged in his throat but simply stuck in his chest, unable to go down.

Seeing this, Ah Sang reached to take the glass back from him.

Throughout the journey, Leng Zimo seemed to gaze out the window, but his eyes remained unfocused and distant.

Having been by his side for so many years, this was the first time Ah Sang saw him so lost and dejected. He glanced down at the photo of Luo Xiaoqian in his hand, sighed softly.
