After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1898: Chapter 1902: Replace It

”This is the chef I specially invited here to prepare your first dinner, hoping you would like it.” Luo Ke sat across the table and made a gesture for her to start.

Luo Xiaoqian lifted the spoon and took a sip of the soup. The soup was actually quite nice, very aromatic and rich, but it simply did not suit her taste. She forced down a mouthful but couldn’t help feeling nauseous, hurriedly stood up, and covered her mouth with a napkin, quickly leaving the dining room and heading to the restroom.

Luo Ke frowned and placed the spoon on the table.

”Replace it!”

After a while, Luo Xiaoqian returned to the dining table; by this time, the soup course had been removed and replaced with the next seafood main dish.

This time, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t even touch the utensils.

”I... I don’t want to eat seafood.”

”Replace it!” Luo Ke ordered once again.

The seafood main dish was replaced with pasta, and Luo Xiaoqian simply frowned.

So, it was replaced again.

The chef, whom Luo Ke had invited from a Michelin restaurant, went through all his signature dishes, consuming countless precious ingredients, and yet, Luo Xiaoqian hadn’t eaten a single bite.

When the butler went to the kitchen again to order a change of dish, the chef, who had encountered numerous picky diners, was almost in tears.

”Sir, what exactly does your madam want to eat?!”

”This...” The butler frowned, ”I don’t know either.”

”May I personally ask her?” the chef inquired.

The butler had no choice but to bring the chef into the dining room to ask Luo Xiaoqian.

”Madam, may I ask what exactly you want to eat?” The chef with a tall hat looked at the Asian girl with black hair and eyes in confusion, ”Is there truly not a single dish that suits your taste?”

Luo Xiaoqian looked at the tall chef with a somewhat apologetic expression, ”I’m sorry, Chef, your culinary skills are excellent, but... right now I just want some very simple Chinese home-cooked dishes, even plain porridge and pickles would be fine.”

”I apologize.” The chef looked helpless, ”I don’t know how to make Chinese cuisine.”

Luo Ke again shouted angrily, ”Replace it!”

”No need, I’ll just find something to eat myself!”

Luo Xiaoqian stood up and went into the kitchen, opened the massive refrigerator, her gaze swept over the expensive caviar, foie gras, truffles, and similar items inside, and eventually she just chose a bottle of milk, an apple, a cucumber, and finally asked the cook to boil her two eggs, solving her dinner problem.

She returned to her room to rest. Luo Ke looked at the exquisite Italian dishes on the table, also losing his appetite, ”Before dawn, find a Chinese chef; if tomorrow’s breakfast still can’t satisfy her, I’ll throw you all into the sea to feed the fishes!”

It was hard enough for her to agree to sit and have a meal with him, yet the situation had turned out like this, leaving Luo Ke in a very bad mood.

...

...

Roma City.

A black car slowly stopped outside a Chinese restaurant.

As the driver had just stabilized the car, Ah Ke had already gotten out from the other side, smiling as he came over to open the car door for Leng Zirui.

”Is this the place?” Leng Zirui lifted his face to glance at the restaurant sign.

”Yes, Mr. Lei should already be here,” Ah Ke said.

As soon as he finished speaking, a tall Asian man dressed in black clothes and wearing dark shades had already come out from inside, walked up to the two, and asked Leng Zirui in English, ”You must be Mr. ROY?”
