After rejecting my celebrity husband

Something quietly hung outside her home clothes’ collar.

The dazzling brass, reflecting softly under the light, stood out starkly against her black collar.

It was a bullet casing, a very new one, and Leng Zirui, who knew guns, recognized it at a glance as a casing from a Type 64 7.62MM handgun bullet.

Before, when Xu Xia came to his team to practice shooting, she used this type of gun. If he wasn’t mistaken, this bullet casing was the one he had given her.

Now, this bullet casing had been meticulously fitted with a loop of the same color, strung on a thin black leather cord, and there was a layer of fine inscriptions on the casing.

However, the inscriptions were facing away from him, so he couldn’t see what was written on them.

”Did you have someone customize this?!” Leng Zirui reached out to touch the bullet necklace on her neck, wanting to see what the inscriptions were.

”No peeking!” Xu Xia immediately raised her hand, clenched the bullet casing in her palm, and tucked it inside her home clothes’ collar, ”I’m done showering, you go take your shower!”

”The thing I gave you, and I can’t even look at it?” Leng Zirui pouted, ”Stingy!”

”You gave it to me, so it’s mine now!” Xu Xia leaned against the wall, hopping on one foot out of the bathroom to leave.

Leng Zirui extended his arm, blocking her waist, then smoothly lifted her and placed her gently on the sofa in the living room. Xu Xia only worried that the bullet casing might slip out again, so she kept one hand over her collar.

”Relax, there’s no secret to hide!” Leng Zirui teased, casually grabbing a cushion to prop up her injured ankle, ”Rest for a bit, I’ll go shower, then I’ll apply the medicine.”

Watching him get up, Xu Xia finally breathed a sigh of relief, ”There’s a men’s home outfit in the right wardrobe, take it out and wear it.”

Leng Zirui raised an eyebrow slightly, surprised that there would be men’s pajamas in her house?!

Jealousy rising in his heart, he said plainly, ”I don’t like wearing other people’s clothes!”

Xu Xia hurried to explain, ”They’re not someone else’s, they’re for... a colleague of mine. I bought them too big for him; neither of us can wear them, so if you don’t mind, you can have it!”

Leng Zirui turned his face, ”Colleague?!”

”Yes, the production director for my new album...” Xu Xia glanced at his expression, ”Don’t get the wrong idea, he’s got a wife and kids...”

”Then why did he let you buy clothes, especially pajamas?” Leng Zirui squinted slightly as he looked at her expression, ”Aren’t you afraid his wife would misunderstand?”

”Because Beijing doesn’t have this brand. It’s quite comfortable, so he asked me to bring one back!” Xu Xia chuckled awkwardly, ”You’re overthinking it; not everyone has a twisted mind like yours!”

In fact, she forgot to bring pajamas when she went to an out-of-town performance a couple of days ago, so she went to a mall to casually buy a set. When she saw this couple’s home outfit, she simply bought both. The men’s set was bought according to his size.

It was only after buying it that she realized this wasn’t something she could give away.

Ordinary clothes would be fine, but a woman gifting a man pajamas, that’s a bit too strange!

Leng Zirui read the panic on her face; she was lying.

So, what was the truth?

Her relationship with this so-called ”production director” was probably not so simple, was it?!

”You should keep it yourself; I don’t have the habit of randomly accepting pajamas from women!”
