After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1528: Chapter 1532: I Think the Bathtub Is Nice

For the first time in a while, Ji Li felt genuinely happy; he hadn’t expected things to go so smoothly.

Lifting his head, he downed the drink in his glass in one gulp.

”Where do you like to do it?”

The server took the glass from his hand and gently placed it on the platform by the bath, ”I think the bathtub is nice; it doesn’t easily leave traces.”

”I like the bathtub too,” Ji Li smiled as he was about to get up.

”Just stay lying like this,” the server stretched out a gloved hand to press against his shoulder, ”I want you to close your eyes and relax a little.”

Ji Li did as he was told.

The server’s other gloved hand stretched over, covering his mouth and nose.

At first, Ji Li thought he was just trying to play a little game, but when he felt difficulty breathing, he suddenly opened his eyes.

In front of him, that handsome face remained as calm as ever, only now there was something more in those eyes that wasn’t there before—murderous intent.

Realizing the danger, Ji Li instinctively tried to struggle, but it was too late.

His strength was no match for the other party; he was quickly pressed into the water of the bathtub, losing the ability to struggle.

After a long while, the server lifted both hands and let go.

Once sure he was completely dead, the server stood up, carefully wiped the water off the edge of the bathtub to ensure no traces were left, then got up, pushed open the guest room door, and quietly closed it behind him.

This server was Cheang Xiao.

Under Leng Zimo, Ah Jiu and Cheang Xiao always had clear roles; such tasks were always completed by him. Having done it countless times before, Cheang Xiao was already thoroughly adept.

Pushing the cart to the outside of the service room, the young Cheang Xiao slipped inside, quickly changed out of his clothes, put on a suit, and calmly walked out the hotel door.

The subordinates waiting outside had already brought the car to the hotel’s entrance. Seeing his extraordinary demeanor, the doorman assumed he was a hotel guest and went forward to help Cheang Xiao open the car door.

”Thank you!”

Politely thanking the other person, Cheang Xiao handed over the bill Ji Li had given him as a tip.

The car drove away from the hotel entrance, and only then did Cheang Xiao speak.

”Restore the hotel’s surveillance system.”

”Yes!”

The technician sitting beside him responded while typing on the keyboard, ending the interference with the hotel’s internal surveillance system.

In the hotel’s control room, several of the monitor screens flickered and then returned to normal.

The staff in the control room only glanced at it and didn’t pay much attention.

A|silent night.

The next day, when the real hotel service staff entered Ji Li’s room for routine cleaning and walked into the bathroom, they discovered Ji Li lying in the bathtub, his body slightly bloated, hair floating in the water.

Realizing something was wrong, the server immediately let out a scream and rushed out of the room.

”Something’s wrong, someone’s dead!”

The floor manager hurried over, quickly called the police, and before long, the officers had arrived at the hotel and began taking photos and gathering evidence on the scene.

Several police officers checked all the rooms and found nothing unusual. On the glass by Ji Li’s bathtub, they only found his fingerprints.

They also reviewed the surveillance footage from the previous night, but found no evidence of anyone entering Ji Li’s room during the estimated time of the incident.

Ji Li’s body was quickly taken away for further autopsy.

By the time Leng Zirui received the news and arrived at the district police station where the hotel was located, it was already 10 in the morning.
