After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1534: Chapter 1538: Leng Zirui, You Jinx

As expected, whatever you say comes true!

As soon as he said it, Xu Xia had already lifted her palm to lightly pat her chest.

She really choked because she ate too quickly.

She grabbed Leng Zirui’s hand, brought her lips to the straw, and took a few big sips of the drink before finally swallowing the piece of chicken stuck in her throat. She gasped for air and then muttered, ”Leng Zirui, you jinx!”

”Who told you to eat so fast!” Leng Zirui smirked lightly as he lifted his hand to pinch a sesame seed off the side of her lips, ”You didn’t twist your foot, did you?!”

Instinctively, Xu Xia moved her right foot, and as soon as she did, a sharp pain shot through her.

She wanted to cry but had no tears.

”Leng Zirui, I hate you!”

”What happened?!” Leng Zirui looked at her expression, his eyes filled with worry, ”Did you really twist it?!”

”Leave me alone, you’re simply the Prophecy Emperor!” Xu Xia shoved the leftover burger in her hand into his arms, carefully lifted her right foot, moved it slightly, and immediately grimaced in pain, ”Strange, it didn’t hurt when I was walking earlier, why does it hurt now that I’m sitting?”

”Give it to me, let me check!” Leng Zirui handed the burger and drink back to her, crouched down carefully, lifted her injured leg, and unbuckled the strap of her high heel gently. Then he lightly supported her ankle with his fingers, ”Does it hurt here?”

”It hurts!”

”How about here?!”

”It doesn’t hurt!”

”Bite the burger!”

”What?!” Xu Xia was confused.

”I said, bite the burger!” Leng Zirui looked up and said.

Xu Xia curiously bit the burger, and Leng Zirui grabbed her foot, giving it a sudden twist. The sharp pain in her wrist almost brought tears to her eyes. Thankfully, she had the burger in her mouth, or she would have cried out in pain.

”Are you trying to murder me?” Xu Xia took the burger out of her mouth and growled at Leng Zirui with a frown.

”Your foot was dislocated. If not repositioned promptly, it could cause soft tissue damage.” Leng Zirui held her calf, ”Now try it, see if it can move, does it still hurt?!”

Xu Xia carefully moved her right foot and, indeed, the pain had vanished.

A look of surprise appeared on her face, ”Leng Zirui, you can do it, I didn’t know you had this skill?!”

”Of course, everyone calls me Great God Leng!” Leng Zirui smiled and supported her arm, ”Come on, let me take you to the hospital for a check-up.”

He had studied special joint locks, and expertise in controlling joints is a hallmark of the technique, so a simple dislocation was no trouble for him.

”I haven’t watched Mo Mo’s performance yet, let’s wait until it ends; if the little guy doesn’t see me, he’ll think I’m not keeping my word!” Xu Xia clung to his arm, ”Anyway, it doesn’t hurt anymore now, no need for a check-up!”

”That’s not acceptable. If there’s a soft tissue bruise, it needs to be treated immediately, or else it will swell. Aren’t you supposed to be Maid of Honor for Tong Ya and Adam this Sunday?!”

”Then we’ll go after the performance!” Xu Xia playfully shook his arm, ”It’s only going to take a bit more than an hour, it won’t make much of a difference. See, I’ve even prepared the gift.”

Her foot no longer hurt, so she didn’t think much of it. Today’s performance was an important experience in Luo Jun’s life, and as his godmother, she couldn’t miss it!

Leng Zirui looked down at her earnest expression, carefully lifted her right foot, and placed it on his chair, ”Stay in this position, don’t move. I’ll be back in a moment, really, don’t move!”
