After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1502: Chapter 1506: You Are My First Guest

”It doesn’t matter, I need cash now,” said Jiao Yang.

”Alright, but the earliest I can get it to you is Monday. Right now, I can’t magically produce cash for you.”

”Okay, call me on Monday.”

Jiao Yang hung up the phone, just as Mo Bei pushed the door open and came in, swirling a small glass of red wine in his hand.

”I knocked, but you didn’t hear!” Mo Bei waved the glass in his hand towards him, ”You don’t mind, do you?”

”Suit yourself,” Jiao Yang shrugged.

Mo Bei came over and glanced at the phone in his hand, ”If you’re looking for money for Luo Xiaoqian, I suggest you don’t do it.”

”Why?”

”It’s simple, she won’t accept it, right?”

”I know she won’t take it, but she has a company she wants to sell. I can buy her company under my friend’s name, so she won’t know.”

”Oh my, so noble, you’re practically like an angel!” Mo Bei took a sip of wine, ”Now I’m a bit envious of Luo Xiaoqian; she has a great husband like Leng Zimo, and also a guardian angel like you.”

”Did you come in just to praise me?” Jiao Yang asked with a smile.

”Of course not.” Mo Bei flashed a mischievous smile, ”President Jiao, your fridge is full of ingredients. I bet you know how to cook, right?!”

Jiao Yang frowned, ”Don’t tell me you want me to cook for you?”

”If you’re capable, you should do more work!” Mo Bei blinked his long, thick eyelashes at him, smiling innocently, ”Don’t you want to have pity on a kid who hasn’t had home-cooked food for half a month?!”

Jiao Yang stood up, ”You like to pretend to be pitiful, don’t you?”

”Of course not, I only pretend to be pitiful when it’s effective!” Mo Bei laughed.

”You’re honest.” Jiao Yang said with a hint of helplessness in his tone.

Mo Bei burst into laughter, ”You’re the first person to call me honest.”

The two went downstairs together and walked into the kitchen. Jiao Yang opened the fridge and looked through the ingredients, ”Two options, pasta or tomato egg noodles, which one do you want?!”

”You can make Chinese food too? That’s wonderful, you’re truly a versatile angel.” Mo Bei looked surprised, ”My choice is tomato egg noodles!”

Jiao Yang smiled slightly, then took an apron and deftly washed and cut the vegetables, and whisked the eggs...

Soon, two bowls of noodles were out of the pot and on the table.

Mo Bei sat at the dining table, took the chopsticks handed by Jiao Yang, and sniffed the aroma of the noodles, ”Smells delicious!”

Jiao Yang smiled, ”The taste might be average, you should taste it before you compliment it!”

Mo Bei took a bite of the noodles, ”Really nice, tastes much like the noodles mom made when I was a kid. Thank you, I haven’t had noodles like this in over ten years.”

”Thank you for the compliment.” Jiao Yang replied.

”You must have heard such compliments countless times, right?”

”Not really,” Jiao Yang shrugged, ”You’re my first diner!”

Five years ago, he had never stepped into the kitchen and could even boil eggs into fried eggs. Everything he learned was in these five years, though he would sometimes cook for himself, cooking for others was really a first.

”Really?!” Mo Bei smiled with surprise, ”Then I’m truly honored.”

The two chatted while eating, although it was just the simplest bowl of noodles, this late-night snack was enjoyed joyfully.

For the first time, the usually quiet villa was filled with happy laughter.
