After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 992: Chapter 996: A Truckload of Gifts

Luo Xiaoqian expressed her gratitude, ”Well then, give me a call when the time comes. My phone is on 24/7.”

”Alright.” Dr. Yin agreed and hung up the phone.

After putting away her phone, Luo Xiaoqian breathed a small sigh of relief. She immediately took out a mop, cloth, and other cleaning items to help Leng Zimo with a thorough cleaning of his place.

By the time she had tidied the entire villa to be spotless, it was already noon. She returned to her own villa to change clothes and drove to the company to handle some business. She then called Xu Xia to invite her over for dinner.

”Remember to be careful and shake off any paparazzi. I don’t want to be exposed right now!” she reminded before hanging up.

”Don’t worry, I’m really good at playing hide and seek with the paparazzi now.” Xu Xia efficiently agreed on the other end of the line.

Luo Xiaoqian held a meeting and then finished up her company tasks before heading home. Just as she reached the community gate, she saw a van parked at the entrance. A girl wearing a big mask, sunglasses, a baseball cap, a denim outfit, and slinging a toy rifle over a meter long across her body was pleading with the security guard.

”Handsome, please let me in. Look, everything inside is safe, definitely no weapons...” Xu Xia raised the gun on her shoulder, ”This is fake, a toy!”

The security guard was not at all accommodating, ”Sorry, miss, our community has rules. You need to call the owner to come out and meet you. Otherwise, I really can’t let your vehicle in.”

Luo Xiaoqian waited for a while, but the van didn’t move. The girl seemed familiar. After watching her for a while, she recognized it was Xu Xia and quickly parked her car and jogged over.

”Xiao Qian, you came back at just the right time.” Xu Xia grabbed her, pointing at the security guard, ”See? Isn’t she the owner here? She’s my friend.”

The security guard looked over, puzzled.

Luo Xiaoqian quickly nodded with a smile, ”She’s my friend, here to deliver something for me!”

Only then did the security guard wave them through and let the car in.

Xu Xia angrily sat in the passenger seat of Luo Xiaoqian’s car. As the car drove through the community gate, she rudely gave the security guard the middle finger.

”If I wasn’t concerned about causing you trouble, I would’ve punched him already. Who am I? I’m Xu Xia. I even spoke so nicely to him, and he still wouldn’t let me in!”

”Who told you to come with a van?”

”I can’t move all this without a van.” Xu Xia pulled off her mask, ”There are so many toys nowadays, so many things I’ve never even seen as a kid.”

Toys?!

Luo Xiaoqian glanced at the van following behind them, ”You brought a whole van of toys?!”

”Nope,” Xu Xia rolled her eyes, ”That would be too unoriginal. More than half are toys, less than half are clothes, and oh, there’s even a grand piano!”

Luo Xiaoqian burst into laughter, ”Xu Xia, are you crazy?!”

”No way, I’m completely lucid now!” Xu Xia said seriously, ”This time, I want to make up for all the birthday gifts, Children’s Day gifts, Christmas gifts, and Chinese New Year gifts I’ve missed over the past four years. After all, I’m Mo Mo’s godmother!”

Seeing her seriousness, Luo Xiaoqian felt a lump in her throat, and the smile on her face stiffened.

This carefree Xu Xia, thinking of such things, really proved how much she adored this child.
