After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 978: Chapter 982: Gentle

After paying the bill, Luo Xiaoqian drove straight back to the lakeside villa, changed out of her clothes, put on casual home attire, tied on an apron, and immediately began preparing dinner.

By the time she almost finished preparing the ingredients, the doorbell had already rung.

”Coming!”

She jogged over to open the door, and as soon as she did, she saw Leng Zimo standing outside the door, giving her a gentle smile. Behind him, Xiao Ding stood by the car, nodded politely to her, and then opened the door and drove away.

Letting Leng Zimo into the living room, Luo Xiaoqian closed the door behind her.

”I’ve got all the ingredients ready. You can rest in the living room for a while, I’ll go cook now, and when Mo Mo comes back, we...”

Just as she turned around, Leng Zimo’s uninjured left arm reached over and wrapped around her waist.

In his eyes, his handsome face rapidly moved closer, and then his lips gently touched hers.

She didn’t dare move recklessly, fearing she might touch his injured right arm, so she just slightly parted her lips and let him kiss her.

Leng Zimo didn’t make the kiss too deep, just gently tasted her lips, and then released her.

”Now, we can go cook!”

”Your arm is injured...”

”We can collaborate,” he insisted.

”Okay!” she agreed with a smile, ”I’ve prepared beef and green vegetables, you can stand by and guide me...”

The two of them entered the kitchen together, and Leng Zimo gestured with his chin, ”Hand me the apron!”

”But...” she glanced at his arm, a bit hesitant.

Leng Zimo shook his left hand at her, ”I still have my left hand!”

Helplessly, she helped him remove his suit jacket and tied the apron around him. Leng Zimo then lit the stove, placed the frying pan over the flame, and poured oil into the pan.

Using just one hand, his movements were still skilled, pouring oil, adding vegetables, tossing the pan...

Watching him pick up the frying pan, Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly prepared the plates, and the two of them cooperated seamlessly, plating each dish and placing them on the dining table.

”Just boil it for ten more minutes!” Leng Zimo covered the soup pot and glanced at the watch on his wrist, ”Mo Mo should be back soon, right?!”

”Mom!” As soon as he finished speaking, the living room door opened, and Luo Jun ran into the kitchen, ”Smells so good!”

”That’s because Uncle Zimo is cooking!” Luo Xiaoqian laughed.

The little guy immediately revealed his foodie nature, ”Really, that’s great, then I want to have another meal. Uncle Zimo’s Chinese food is so delicious.”

”Doesn’t Mom’s food taste good?” Luo Xiaoqian feigned annoyance.

”Mom’s fried eggs are really good, but for the rest...” Luo Jun raised an eyebrow, honestly saying, ”About the same level as the kind from my kindergarten, not very tasty.”

Luo Xiaoqian, who was scorned, was not upset; she accepted the fact that she had no talent for cooking.

”How about Uncle Zimo cooks for you every day from now on?” Leng Zimo asked with a smile.

”Okay!” Luo Jun nodded in agreement right away, ”In a few days, my dad will come back. By then, Uncle Zimo can also cook for Dad, okay?”

Upon hearing this, both adults were taken aback.

Leng Zimo turned his head, looking at Luo Xiaoqian with a questioning gaze, ”Really?!”

”It’s true, Mom said so!” Luo Jun, unaware of the adults’ thoughts, chimed in cheerfully, ”Mom also said that on the first of June, the three of us will attend the school’s event together. I’ll play piano with Dad, and Mom will sing.”
