After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 974: Chapter 978: He Definitely Got Mad at You, Right?

”Ahem, it’s just...” Xu Xia looked at her sheepishly, ”Not long after you left, at the EM celebration party, I... I drank too much and broke a bottle on Leng Zimo’s head. You know, that guy is surprisingly tough. I smashed a bottle, and he just had a little cut!”

”Did he lose his temper with you?”

Luo Xiaoqian could only laugh and cry at the same time, because the situation at the time was urgent, coupled with Xu Xia’s temper, she certainly didn’t dare to tell her the truth. She just left a note, telling her not to look for Leng Zimo and not to mention her to Leng Zimo.

She easily guessed that with Xu Xia’s temper at the time, she must have misunderstood Leng Zimo and then flew into a rage at him.

”I was drunk at the time, who cares if he was Emperor Leng or whoever. Later, when I sobered up, I thought like you, assuming that the guy would definitely have me blacklisted in a fit of anger!” Xu Xia laughed at herself, and then her expression turned serious, ”Unexpectedly, not only did he not blacklist me, but he also took the initiative to suggest I go abroad for further study. I still remember the day I went to his office, the way he looked at me. That day, he just sat behind his desk, looked at me so directly, and said, ’Xu Xia, I’m letting you off the hook this time. I hope you don’t waste your talent and skills. If you can’t reach the level I think you can achieve, I guarantee, I can have you kicked out of the entertainment industry any time!’ In that man’s eyes, work is just work. I embarrassed him so much, yet he could still tolerate me. A man who can do this is really rare.”

”That’s because you have talent, and he appreciates you.” Luo Xiaoqian smiled.

”Compared to you, my talent is worth nothing!” Xu Xia held Luo Xiaoqian’s hand, ”Xiao Qian, your guy Leng Zimo is really a good man, you two must be together!”

Luo Xiaoqian nodded firmly, ”Don’t worry, we will definitely be together. How have you been all these years, are you still single?!”

”I can’t help it, who asks your Emperor Leng to be so outstanding? If I don’t find someone good, I can’t compete with you, right?!” Xu Xia teased, suddenly remembering something, ”You said... you two are already together, what do you mean?!”

Luo Xiaoqian waved her hand with the ring, ”He gave this to me.”

”An engagement ring?!” Xu Xia exclaimed, then looked at Luo Xiaoqian reproachfully, ”Be honest with me, when did you get back, and how did you hook him so quickly?!”

”What do you mean ’hook’, he was mine in the first place!” Luo Xiaoqian looked at the ring on her finger, ”To be honest, it was quite the coincidence. I didn’t actively seek him out, but when I went to the cemetery, I coincidentally ran into him. Later, my assistant found me a house, and guess what, it’s right across from his villa. He only recently moved to that area. I initially wanted to avoid him, but when I went to a hotel to meet a client, I came out and into the elevator, and he was right there in the elevator...”

”And then you gave him the eye, used your charm, and hooked up with him, right?!” Xu Xia laughed.

”I did not. I ran as soon as I got out of the elevator, and he kept chasing me. Then he even got hit by a car trying to save me. I felt sorry for him, so I had to take him home, and then...” Thinking of the scene where they almost ended up in bed the first time at Leng Zimo’s villa, Luo Xiaoqian blushed, ”And then he insisted that I be his girlfriend, so... I reluctantly agreed!”
