Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 49: Chapter 49: A Big Win in Points

Zhang Beixing’s first client was a little chubby kid, not very tall, and wearing glasses.

He said he wanted to run to lose weight, but running alone was too boring, so he found Zhang Beixing.

As for business that came knocking at his door, Zhang Beixing naturally had no reason to refuse, so he donned his weighted gear and started running around the track with the little chubby kid.

It was at this time that Zhang Beixing began to show the core of his skills as a sports buddy.

That is to encourage, assist, and... act as a wingman!

During the run, Zhang Beixing noticed that whenever the little chubby kid passed a girl, he would deliberately start talking to him, asking about various things.

Seeing this, Zhang Beixing instantly understood that the kid probably had a crush on that girl and wanted to get her attention by running.

But as a beginner running alone, he definitely couldn’t attract her attention.

Thus, he sought out Zhang Beixing, the sports buddy.

With this realization, everything that followed became much simpler.

All Zhang Beixing needed to do was cooperate with the little chubby kid, enabling him to show off as much as possible in front of the girl he liked to get her attention. That would do the trick!

And sure enough, after a few laps around the track, the girl had started paying attention to the little chubby kid.

This made the little chubby kid ecstatic, and in his excitement, he added another hour to his session.

Two hours later, the little chubby kid was panting and sweating profusely.

But a joyful smile spread across his face because, with Zhang Beixing’s help, he not only persevered with his exercise but also interacted with the girl.

It was a two-for-one deal, money well spent!

”Thanks, buddy. You’re really something! I’ll be back tomorrow!”

The little chubby kid dropped this line and then left.

Hearing this, Zhang Beixing also responded, ”See you next time!”

And then he continued to call out for more clients.

Zhang Beixing setting up a stall on the track was already quite an attention-grabber.

But now, after finding out that his services as a sports buddy actually had merit—that he could not only make people finish their exercises but also serve as a wingman when needed—

This immediately sparked people’s interest.

After all, who wouldn’t want a sports buddy with a great eye for detail?

Even though 28 yuan an hour was a bit pricey, compared to the benefits Zhang Beixing brought, the price was not unreasonable!

And besides, Zhang Beixing was a recent celebrity in the school, even the school beauty had confessed to him, so he must be skilled at playing wingman, right?

With this in mind, people began digging into their pockets, wanting Zhang Beixing to be their workout partner.

Seeing this scene, Zhang Beixing naturally accepted them all.

And so, he took on one client after another.

He was busy from morning till night.

It was also thanks to his ample Ability Points; he still had 1.2 points saved up from practicing the Yue Family Fist, which he hadn’t used yet.

Relying on his ability to allocate points and take intermittent rests, he managed to persevere without collapsing from exhaustion.

After completing the last few dozen meters, Zhang Beixing slowed down. He was drenched as if he had just been pulled out of water; there wasn’t a dry spot on him.

Brushing the hair sticking to his forehead back, he gasped for air.

At the same time, the System’s voice sounded in his ears:

[Suggestion: Weighted running, difficulty C, carry twenty-five kilograms, for every ten kilometers run, reward 1 Ability Point.]

[Host has completed suggestion: Weighted running.]

[Suggestion reward issued. Current host Ability Points: 1.3]

[Weighted running progress refreshed. Current progress: 0.01KM/10KM]

Hearing this voice, Zhang Beixing finally let out a sigh of relief, a relaxed smile appearing on his face.

Earning these Ability Points sure isn’t easy. On the bright side, I also made some money. Sweet!

After that, he bid farewell to Lin Siqi and ended today’s workout.

He picked up some food from the canteen and headed back to the dorm.

Zhang Beixing quickly wolfed down his meal and took the weighted vest to the windowsill to air it out. He tossed his regular clothes into the washing machine to clean them.

Then he lay on the bed, tallying up the day’s gains.

Throughout the day, Zhang Beixing had worked with five clients for a total of seven hours.

He had completed the suggested task of weighted running for the first time and earned 1 Ability Point.

His weighted push-ups had gone from 189/1,000 to 735/1,000.

The progress for the weighted pull-ups was now at 211/1,000.

Including the four sets of Yue Family Fist he practiced this morning,

Zhang Beixing had earned 196 yuan today and gained 2.2 Ability Points.

The overall haul was pretty decent.

He had earned both money and Ability Points, and his training hadn’t been neglected either.

This could be a sustainable long-term gig!

Thinking so, Zhang Beixing then scrolled through his phone for a while until sleepiness hit him. He asked Zheng Jituo and the others to hang his clothes out to dry once the wash was done, then he plopped his phone down by the pillow and fell asleep.

「The next day, after classes,」

Zhang Beixing and Lin Siqi went to the sports field together, ready to set up his stall.

But before he could even set up the sign, Zhang Beixing saw the chubby kid who was his first customer yesterday already standing in front of him.

And as soon as he spoke, he immediately booked two hours.

Hearing this, Zhang Beixing raised an eyebrow. He looked around and sure enough, spotted the girl from yesterday nearby.

Persistent little fellow, really going all out for this girl!

He looked at the girl and then back at the chubby kid. Zhang Beixing had pretty much figured it out and didn’t say much.

He simply asked the chubby kid about his training plan for the day, then modified it slightly based on his understanding of the past days’ training, making it more rational and effective, before starting the workout with the kid.

During the workout, Zhang Beixing noticed that there were more people on the sports field than the day before, and many were looking his way, muttering things.

Noticing this, Zhang Beixing found it a bit odd, but didn’t think too much of it.

It wasn’t until after he finished the chubby kid’s session and joined Lin Siqi for a water break that a girl with blonde hair approached them.

She sized up Zhang Beixing and then shockingly said, ”So you’re the one who sells your body?”

PFFT!

COUGH! COUGH!

The moment those words were uttered, Lin Siqi immediately spat out her water, while Zhang Beixing choked on his, coughing uncontrollably.

Feeling Lin Siqi’s furtive, odd glances and hearing the whispers of the people around, Zhang Beixing felt his image veering in a peculiar direction.

He wiped his mouth with a tissue and explained, ”No no no, don’t get the wrong idea. I’m running a legitimate business here; I offer skills, not my body!”

”Not selling your body? If you’re not selling your body, then what’s the deal with the personal training? Do you mean to tell me that you’ll just stand there and watch while I work out?”

The blonde-haired girl asked with a bewildered expression.

Hearing her words, everyone was taken aback. Then they slowly got it and understood what she meant by ”selling his body,” and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Zhang Beixing’s mouth twitched.

If he wasn’t worried about maintaining civility for the sake of his business venture, he’d be cursing right now. Not to mention, if you already know he’s a training partner, why not just call it personal training? Why say he’s selling his body? What’s with this woman?! She’s way off base!
