Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Can you sleep at your age?

”What the hell? A fight with gangsters tomorrow?”

Hearing Zhang Beixing’s words, Zheng Jituo and the others were stunned.

They stared blankly at Zhang Beixing, not understanding how, in just one afternoon, this guy had managed to get tangled up with gangsters and even escalate things to a fight.

Seeing their confused expressions, Zhang Beixing briefly told them what had happened that afternoon.

They understood they were in the right, and the fight was set to take place in the small grove behind their own Shi University. Hearing this, Zheng Jituo slammed the table. ”Help! Why wouldn’t we help? When a brother’s in trouble, I’ll definitely support him with all I’ve got! Damn it, on our turf, we can’t let our people get bullied, can we?”

Jin Linyu also chimed in, ”Exactly! Damn straight! Even though I also think modern Martial Arts are all for show, no matter how flashy they are, they’ll always be the father of that son-of-a-bitch Karate!”

Dong Guoning was even more straightforward. ”Should I call a few more people?”

Seeing their united front, ready to go to bat for their brother, Zhang Beixing’s face showed satisfaction.

”Good!”

”Truly my good sons!”

”Although you guys are ugly, have stinky mouths, are cowardly, quick-tempered, and suck at games, the fact that you’d stand up to help me, your godfather, when I’m in trouble, makes all the meals I’ve brought you worthwhile. You’ve really grown up!”

Saying this, Zhang Beixing even wiped the corner of his eye, though there was nothing there. He looked utterly moved.

Hearing his words, the indignation and excitement on Zheng Jituo and the others’ faces instantly froze.

They looked at each other, as if they had reached some consensus.

”Get him!”

It’s unclear who muttered it, but Room 203, which had just quieted down, suddenly became noisy again.

「」

The next day, at six in the morning.

Zhang Beixing climbed out of bed, feeling spirited and refreshed!

Perhaps it’s because of my high Mental Attribute, or maybe because I’ve finally shifted from sub-par health to actual health, Zhang Beixing mused. He found his sleep quality was exceptionally good.

Even though he had gone to bed at four o’clock last night, now, after just two hours of sleep, he was already well-rested and couldn’t sleep any longer.

After getting up and washing up, Zhang Beixing looked at his three roommates. They had stayed up with him, losing game ranks until four in the morning, and were now snoring and farting in their sleep.

He couldn’t help but sigh at their laziness.

At your age, at this stage of your lives, how can you possibly sleep so soundly? Don’t you have any ambition?

They might regret this laziness for the rest of their lives, Zhang Beixing thought. As their godfather, he felt he couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.

So, he went over and slapped each of them.

Feeling the pain on their faces, the three woke up from their dreams, bewildered. Struggling to open their tired, heavy eyes, they looked at Zhang Beixing standing in the middle of the dorm and asked blankly, ”What’s up? What happened?”

Zhang Beixing grinned. ”Nothing much. Just letting you know it’s six in the morning. Time to get up and take a piss.”

After saying that, he left the dorm without looking back.

Almost the moment he left, a barrage of curses erupted from Room 203, waking quite a few people.

A few hot-tempered guys from several dorms over even started a shouting match with the three.

Seeing the male dormitory become so lively, Zhang Beixing, the instigator, had an indulgent, fatherly smile on his face. This is the vitality young people should have, he mused. Then, concealing his contributions and reputation, he went to the sports field to start practicing his fist forms.

He practiced his fist forms until nine in the morning. He went through the routine three times, averaging once per hour, and gained a total of 0.9 Ability Points. Adding the leftover 0.1 from yesterday, he had accumulated a full point.

Originally, Zhang Beixing planned to distribute this point evenly between Power and Constitution. However, considering the fight scheduled for the afternoon, he decided not to use it yet, keeping it as a reserve.

What if the other party really shows up, and they’re actually tough?

Although Zhang Beixing had reached Entry Level in the Yue Family Fist, he had, after all, only been practicing for less than ten days.

Even with Zheng Jituo and the others helping, if the opponents get really vicious and focus solely on me, I’ll probably be in trouble, he worried.

Thinking about the arranged fight, Zhang Beixing headed toward the cafeteria to grab some food.

On his way to the cafeteria, he noticed Zheng Jituo emerging from the male dormitory, looking around.

Upon seeing Zhang Beixing, Zheng Jituo’s face lit up. He hurried over and said, ”Lao Zhang, there’s trouble! One of our classmates got bullied during a public lecture!”

”Bullied during a public lecture? Who?” Zhang Beixing asked, assuming it was just another boy from their class who had fought with students from another class, so he didn’t take it seriously.

Unexpectedly, Zheng Jituo spat out a name Zhang Beixing hadn’t anticipated: ”Lin Siqi!”

”What the hell? Sister Qi? She got bullied?”

Zhang Beixing was stunned, somewhat incredulous.

If it were anyone else getting bullied, I could understand, Zhang Beixing thought, but Lin Siqi...

Let’s put it this way. At Shi University, you might not know your professors or even your classmates. However, you couldn’t possibly not know this girl who had been running a stall on the school’s sports field for three years. If you’d ever been to the sports field, you’d definitely bought water from her. Coupled with her good looks and pleasant personality, very few people in the school had any issues with her.

Zhang Beixing was astounded. ”Which class is that little bastard from? So audacious? He even dares to bully Sister Qi? Isn’t he afraid that Sister Qi will make one phone call and summon a hundred or so people to gang up on him?” he exclaimed, remarking on the person’s sheer nerve.

Zheng Jituo shook his head. ”If it were someone from our school, it wouldn’t be a big deal. The problem is, the ones who bullied Sister Qi aren’t from our school; they’re local hooligans from off-campus!”

Then, Zheng Jituo quickly explained the situation.

It happened just a few minutes ago. After Lin Siqi finished her public lecture and was organizing her study materials in the classroom, a group of people from off-campus inexplicably approached her, saying they wanted to talk.

This group clearly looked like trouble, so Lin Siqi naturally didn’t want to engage with them.

Those local hooligans definitely wouldn’t let it go. They lingered in the classroom, pestering her, and refused to leave. An argument started, and it looked like it was about to escalate into a fight.

”Lao Zhang, that’s the gist of what happened. You...”

”Me? What about me? Does this even need discussion? Grab some weapons and let’s go get ’em! Damn it, a bunch of local hooligans, the dregs of society! They’re truly asking for a beating! Where are the others from our class?”

”They’ve received the message; quite a few have said they’re on their way already.”

”Alright then, damn it, let’s go too.”
