Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: The Self-Cultivation of Security Personnel

「Half an hour later.」

The interrogation ended. The interrogation officer walked out of the interrogation room, watching the surveillance footage of the public classroom at Shi University on the screen while making comparisons. He discovered that, apart from some deviations in certain areas, the rest were more or less the same. They then began discussing how to deal with the six individuals. First and foremost was surely Zhang Beixing.

”This guy is ruthless, fighting five people alone and subduing all of them. Do all security guards these days have such skills?”

Watching the surveillance, a police officer clicked his tongue, expressing his surprise at the sight of Zhang Beixing holding his own in the five-against-one fight. After all, it was just a local police station, lacking talented detectives and strong operatives, though there were indeed some officers who had stepped down from frontline positions. But to be honest, while there might be experts at the city police department, you just couldn’t find that kind of talent here. So, they were quite astonished.

As soon as these words were spoken, they immediately got everyone’s agreement.

”Isn’t that the truth? When I first saw this surveillance footage, I was utterly baffled. Goodness, those skills. Wing Chun, Ip Man?”

”He’s even better than Lao Zhang in our team.”

”Ip Man might be stretching it. This young guy is impressive, but there’s still something missing. You could say he’s somewhat capable, but not tremendously.”

”Are you pulling our leg here?”

”Alright, alright, let’s not drift off topic. We’re talking about how to deal with this guy. Although he acted in self-defense, he... he did go a bit overboard. Should we, out of humanitarian considerations, have him pay some compensation?”

A babble of opinions filled the room. Someone proposed that Zhang Beixing should pay for the medical expenses, and then the matter would no longer concern him.

Hearing this, an older police officer who had stayed out of the conversation smiled slightly and said to everyone, ”Compensation? What compensation? Not to mention whether Dong Shengjie and his gang even deserve that money, let’s just talk about that young man. You guys can’t seriously think he’s a real security guard, can you?”

The officers exchanged bewildered glances. They looked uncomprehendingly at the old officer, who lit a cigarette and said, ”Although I have no concrete evidence, when I was at the security department retrieving the surveillance footage, I heard the head security guard mention he’d only started working there a couple of days ago. But look at his clothes. They’re quite faded. That’s something you only see on long-term employees, so...”

”So, he’s not really a security guard, but a student just wearing someone else’s uniform?”

None of the officers in the room was foolish. With that hint from the old police officer, they instantly grasped what was going on. Thereafter, they were a mix of amusement and astonishment, somewhat shocked.

Are students now this formidable? They had just been discussing what it would be like if all security guards were as badass as Zhang Beixing. Now it seemed they had overthought it—the guy was still just a kid!

”If he’s a student, let’s forget about making him pay. He truly doesn’t have the financial means to afford it, and his intentions were good. We shouldn’t make someone who got injured also lose heart. Otherwise, the next time there’s an injustice, no one would be willing to stand up.”

”Indeed, indeed.”

”So, shall I call him out now and then phone his teachers and the head of the security team at Shi University to come and pick him up?”

”You’re really wicked, knowing he’s a student and still calling the security team to see how he explains it, right?”

”HAHA, you caught me. I am indeed curious about how he’s going to smooth this over, but let’s put my curiosity aside for now and deal with Dong Shengjie and his fellows. They’ve really got some nerve this time, venturing into a school. I think we need to give them a serious lesson. How about a three-month detention?”

”Agreed!”

And so, with the unanimous approval of the many police officers, Zhang Beixing’s first visit to the precinct came to a successful conclusion. There was no compensation and no liability. What he needed to do now was just stay put in the station and wait to be picked up.

Only... why is this officer such a blabbermouth? Doesn’t he have work to do?

Observing the officer who had brought him out from the interrogation room and then nonchalantly sat down beside him to chat, Zhang Beixing was utterly flustered. If it had just been a few sentences, that would have been nothing. But the issue was, from the moment Zhang Beixing had been brought out of the interrogation room until now, the officer hadn’t stopped talking.

Dude, did you rent your mouth? Is it necessary to keep talking non-stop?

At this moment, Zhang Beixing suddenly understood why in those hot-blooded, trope-filled comics, some villains whose power and skill matched or even exceeded the main character’s were always talked into submission by the protagonists. You just couldn’t argue with it! With this level of nagging, was it really humanly bearable?

”Speaking of which, young man, you’re so young and handsome with such great skills, why would you go work as a security guard at Shi University?” the officer asked, looking at the contemplative Zhang Beixing.

Hearing this, the corner of Zhang Beixing’s mouth twitched. He really wanted to say he wasn’t actually a security guard. But then he thought that if he said so, the officer would surely ask a ton more questions. So, after a moment’s thought, he said, ”Because of passion!”

”Passion?”

”Yes, not to hide anything from you, I, Zhang, have had a dream since I was young. When I grow up, I want to become the star of security guards! During the day, I’ll teach reckless property owners a lesson, bully solitary delivery guys, and walk away unscathed from encounters with villains. At night, I’ll switch into a delivery uniform, scold the neighborhood security guards, flirt with residents, and secretly eat customers’ food. For this, I’ve worked hard for over ten years, diligently training the basic skills of a security guard, all so that one day, I can live up to this uniform on my body!”

As he spoke, Zhang Beixing lifted his head, gazing upward at a forty-five-degree angle to the ceiling, his expression profound.

Listening to him, the chatterbox officer was flabbergasted.

Wait a minute, what? How is it security guard by day and delivery guy by night? Holy crap, even nightclub girls don’t lead lives as chaotic as what you’ve described!

”Bro, are you sure you were going there to be a security guard and not to harass the property owners?”

After a moment of silence, the chatterbox officer managed to blurt out.

Zhang Beixing immediately bristled. ”What kind of talk is that? How can you say I’m harassing the property owners? I am clearly training our community members’ psychological endurance!”

”But... is there a possibility that you’re actually the school’s security guard?”

”Ah? I am a school security guard! Hey, it’s no big deal; it’s essentially the same. Bro, why don’t you join me as a security guard too? Let me tell you, the benefits for our school’s security guards are really good...”

The chatterbox officer was speechless. ”...”

HISS... How did he suddenly realize that his own notorious chattering habit, which people had complained about for so many years, had suddenly been cured?
