Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Startlingly sitting up in the throes of a terminal illness, I realized the clown is myself

Having adjusted his mindset, Zhang Beixing began to plan for his upcoming training sessions. The Yue Family Continuous Fist was great, as practicing it once could yield 0.3 Ability Points. However, it wasn’t always worth it because this particular Martial Art was very damaging to the body. Every practice session would cause injury and add stress. With Zhang Beixing’s current physical condition, practicing four times a day was about his limit. Of course, he could actually practice more, but then his body wouldn’t be able to take it.

Zhang Beixing’s initial intention for training was to improve his physique so he wouldn’t end up dying from illness like in his previous life. If he just roughed up his body for Ability Points, it would be missing the point entirely. He had to find some workouts that wouldn’t harm his body.

Come to think of it, about a week ago, I made a joke in the comments section of a Martial Arts master, and he even replied to me.

I remember he was quite strong, had real skills. Maybe I should seek his advice and ask how to train properly?

Muttering to himself, Zhang Beixing then opened Douyin and searched for ’Chop Hanging Fist’ in the search bar. As the page loaded, the first video that came into view was one that had gone viral a week earlier. And the comment he had casually written that day had become the top comment for that video. This made things much easier for Zhang Beixing.

So he clicked on that Chop Hanging Fist master’s comment and, after thinking for a moment, replied, ”Master, hello. I followed your advice, combining fitness with Martial Arts training. I’ve made some progress in Martial Arts, but for some reason, my fitness progress has slowed down. I’m hardly getting any feedback from my normal workouts anymore. Could you tell me what the issue might be?”

Of course, he couldn’t mention the System. No one would believe it if he did, so he rephrased his question, though the meaning was essentially the same.

He posted his comment and didn’t check for replies immediately. After all, the video wasn’t very popular anymore, and getting a response would likely take some time to develop.

He glanced at the time; it was already four-thirty. After a whole afternoon of exercise, he was quite hungry, so he got up and headed to the canteen.

Since he started training, Zhang Beixing had found his appetite had more than doubled. In the past, one meat dish, one vegetable dish, and a bowl of rice would have been enough to fill him up. Now, it took two meat dishes and two vegetable dishes for him to barely feel full. Of course, this was also related to his daily exercise volume. After all, with that much running all day, if he didn’t eat more, in less than half a month, Zhang Beixing would harvest a healthy, strong, and handsome corpse.

Carrying two heaping plates of food, Zhang Beixing found an empty seat. He casually mixed the minced meat with eggplant, the Di San Xian (a stir-fry of potato, eggplant, and green pepper), and rice together. Then, he transformed into a ravenous eater and began to devour his meal.

His ferocious eating style and the terrifying amount of food he consumed caught the attention of many people, who glanced his way, wondering if there was a famine to make someone *that* hungry.

Unaware and uninterested in these speculations, Zhang Beixing only registered that his phone had started to vibrate. He pulled it out and saw that in the time it took him to eat, several replies had popped up under his comment.

...

”What the heck, you learned Martial Arts? Do you even hear yourself? How many days has it been? Are you sure what you’re practicing is Martial Arts and not the Tai Chi sword those old folks do in the park?”

”LOL, someone actually believed what the blogger said, went to do Martial Arts training, and achieved ’minor success’ in a few days? Bro, you can’t even make up a decent lie!”

”I’m telling you right here, if you really learned Martial Arts in just these few days, I’ll go live and screw a five-speed fan!”

”Count me in, I’ll be the fan!”

”Damn! Such a scheming bottom!”

”Nice one, kiddo. Using this chance to show off your kinks and reward yourself, huh?”

”I can spot bait a mile away; this is pure fishing. You’re talking about doing Martial Arts for fitness? If I hadn’t seen the ’likes’ on your Douyin, I might have actually bought it.”

”What’s this? Douyin ’likes’? Let me see... HOLY CRAP! Amazing! Never in my life have I seen so many legs. I can’t even finish looking; it’s just impossible!”

”Bro, selling your account? Ten grand! If that’s not enough, you can ask for more; if it is, just forget I mentioned it.”

”...”

Looking at those comments, which were either skeptical or just for laughs, Zhang Beixing raised an eyebrow. Although he knew that asking in such a way wouldn’t necessarily yield any useful suggestions, the complete lack of any valuable advice was a bit much.

Could it be because of my previous comment that they all think this reply is also a prank?

Tsk... That won’t do; stereotypes are not good.

But the current trends are pretty hot... What if I ride the wave, make a video to gain some followers? With fans, it’d be easier to ask for advice later!

If that guy ’Pipes from Afar’ could get famous just from comments in the past, I’m no worse; plus, I really know Martial Arts. A little fame shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Let’s shoot it!

With a giddy feeling, Zhang Beixing thought it was a great idea. He quickly finished his meal, then went to the playground, found a spot, and set up his phone. He then started to practice the Yue Family Continuous Fist.

「An hour later」

Zhang Beixing had edited and uploaded a video that was only one minute long. Although short, as the saying goes: the best things come in small packages!

At the same time, Zhang Beixing also crafted a title for it: ”Practicing Martial Arts for Seven and a Half Days; Yue Family Continuous Fist - Uninitiated Disciple. Seeking Guidance.” He then returned to the comment section, only to find that an hour later, even more people had gathered for entertainment.

Zhang Beixing didn’t care about that. He simply randomly picked a few ”lucky” commenters, tagged them, and directed them to watch his video, deliberately creating hype for himself.

Those people saw it and thought, What a character, stirring things up again. So they all clicked into Zhang Beixing’s homepage and opened his only video.

In the video, a tall man with an obscured face stood with his back to the orange sunset, performing the opening stance of the Yue Family Continuous Fist. Seeing this, the viewers were unimpressed and even wanted to comment, ”Is that all?”

But the next second, the content of the video almost made their jaws drop. After striking the opening stance, the tall man began to move.

Knee lift, punch out.

Binding, Locking, Leaning and Squeezing; Continuous Advancing and Retreating; Elbow Strike; Pipa Form...

With the help of editing, Zhang Beixing executed each move deftly and without any sloppiness.

The already powerful Yue Family Continuous Fist now looked even more magnificent and awe-inspiring!

After watching the video, those who had come looking for amusement were dumbfounded. Even if they had never practiced Martial Arts themselves, they could tell that the punches thrown by the man in the video had real substance. This was utterly preposterous!

Because in their minds, Zhang Beixing was purely a prankster. They hadn’t expected that this time, he wasn’t fooling around. He actually, *truly* knew Martial Arts!

What the hell...

”Bro, weren’t you just fooling around? How come you hit us with something so real?”

”HOLY CRAP, I was giggling earlier, thinking the blogger was just a clown, but now it turns out, I’m the clown??”
