Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

Wei’en couldn’t help but laugh. ”That’s actually a real possibility. If that happens, the Shetland Kingdom and the Dawn Church will definitely publish your names in the papers too.”

Marco pursed his lips. ”I’m not afraid, but someone was very worried about being implicated because of you.”

”Oh?”

”After you left, Yegor suggested erasing your file to avoid any unnecessary trouble. It was only after Minister Lisi chewed him out that he finally dropped the idea.”

”Yegor? Heh, that sounds like something he’d say. Wait, did you just say Minister Lisi?”

”Yeah,” Marco said cheerfully. ”After that night, the Caster City-State Council and the Noble Committee both suffered heavy losses. But someone had to handle the reconstruction, so Bishop Naike of the Storm Church proposed letting the Secret Investigation Department and the City Guard temporarily manage the city-state’s affairs.”

”That’s also when Ministers Yegor and Albert were promoted to Deputy Directors, and Lisi and Santiago became the Ministers of the Investigation Department and the Combat Department, respectively. Do you remember Somlay from the Property Management Department?”

”I remember,” Wei’en nodded. ’That noble scion the ghosts were so interested in. I was planning to look into his background when I had the time, but then...’

”What about him?”

”He got promoted to Minister of the Property Management Department, too. He even came to brag to me about it. Hmph, if I were still at the Secret Investigation Department, Lisi was planning to make me a captain.”

”So when you left, Lisi... she must have been very disappointed, right?”

”Not at all,” Marco said, sounding dejected. ”On the contrary, she was quite happy...”

”Hahaha...”

Wei’en laughed shamelessly, perfectly picturing Lisi’s look of disdain.

Hearing him laugh, an idea seemed to strike Marco. He continued, ”Speaking of which, the day I left Caster, Lisi asked me to do something for her.”

”Hm?”

”She asked me to tell you she’s sorry when I saw you.”

”Is that so?”

Wei’en’s smile vanished. ’Lisi’s apology... Is she blaming herself for not protecting me and Tina?’

”I think Lisi is probably overthinking it. What happened wasn’t her fault. Of course, it wasn’t you or Tina’s fault either. If anyone’s to blame, it’s the Ernst Clan, and the Dir... Ales.”

”Yeah.”

Wei’en nodded. ”I’ll find a chance to go back to Caster later on.”

”Going back?” Marco’s eyes shifted. ”Are you going back specifically for Lisi? Don’t deny it. Other than Lisi, everyone you know has already left, including that Candidacy Saintess.”

Wei’en thought about it carefully. It was true. He nodded and said, ”I guess you could say that.”

Marco blinked and gave a suggestive smile. ”You know, Lisi is actually a pretty great person.”

”Hm?”

”What are you confused about? Don’t tell me you’re not going back to hook... uh, never mind what I said.”

Before he could finish, Marco felt an icy killing intent from behind him and couldn’t help but shiver.

Wei’en noticed his reaction, and turning around, he saw Clelia looking their way. Guessing she had done something again, he shook his head in resignation.

”I will definitely go back to the Eastern Continent.”

’Even if not for Lisi, he needed to return to the family of his body’s original owner to find out about that sister and the matter of his sealed memories.’

”Then it’s a deal? When you decide to go back, remember to let me know. I’ll go with you,” Marco said with a smile, holding out his hand.

”No problem.”

Wei’en high-fived him, sealing the deal.

The two of them continued to talk and laugh, reminiscing about funny stories from their time in the Caster City State. When Wei’en brought up the time Marco secretly ran off to Nocturnal City, everyone on deck burst out laughing.

Of course, Marco didn’t let Wei’en off the hook, bringing up the time he pretended to be a follower of the Dawn Church to get into Krimms Cathedral...

The two didn’t stop until the sky began to brighten and the red moon disappeared.

Wei’en knew this meant Marco had to follow the Bai Ke Li south and return to the Black Pearl’s home base.

Although he and Black Jack would both be passing Avad Island and could have traveled together, Yuan had not agreed when Menor suggested it, simply because having the two ships sail together would cause significant delays.

”Time to go.”

Marco watched as, over on the Bai Ke Li, Waleed was already arranging for people to clear the deck and prepare to set sail.

”Yeah,” Wei’en nodded, taking a piece of parchment from his Space Ring and handing it over. ”Keep this safe.”

”What’s this?”

”It’s the blueprint for the sniper rifle’s bullets. I adjusted the gun’s caliber, so it needs this specific type of bullet to work.”

”Huh?” Marco was taken aback. ”Why are you giving this to me?”

”The bullets themselves aren’t technically difficult to make, so it would be easy for them to copy them anyway. But taking this with you will be helpful for the next leg of your journey,” Wei’en explained calmly.

”This...”

”Take it, red-haired kid. Consider it compensation for him using your identity.”

Just then, Black Jack and his two companions jumped over. He looked at Wei’en and said irritably, ”We bought so many guns from you, and you didn’t even include this blueprint. Were you planning to sell us the bullets separately later?”

Faced with the accusation from his VIP client from the Black Pearl, Wei’en gave a sheepish smile. ”I did have a plan like that, actually. If my friend Marco wasn’t so set on joining you, the bullets would have been at least one gold pound for ten rounds.”

”...”

’Ten bullets for one gold pound?’

’Isn’t that the fucking price of a rune bullet?!’

Black Jack gritted his teeth, suppressing the urge to punch the swindling merchant. He snarled, ”Don’t you worry. With me and the Plague Doctor around, the red-haired kid will be fine on our ship!”
