Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

”So, something really did happen?”

A deep voice, tinged with a hint of resignation, sounded in the workshop.

Then, a ripple spread from the void. Space seemed to be pushed aside by an unseen force, folding and stacking upon itself.

Following that, a figure slowly emerged. He wore a long, one-piece robe, its hood pulled low, revealing only a chiseled jawline. In the dim candlelight, his tall figure seemed mysterious.

The hooded man raised his head, revealing a handsome face with thick, dark eyebrows and silver-gray eyes. It was none other than Clelia’s direct superior, one of the twelve Elders of the Eternal Life Association: Menor Vannis Stringer.

He looked at Clelia’s current state and chuckled. ”Such a troublesome subordinate... Let’s see, what was it that killed you this time... Hmm, the Power of Faith from Dawn, and a Great Knight?”

”I really don’t know whether to call you unlucky or fortunate. You always manage to run into figures one doesn’t normally see.”

Menor sized her up for a moment longer before deciding not to delay. He reached into the void, pulled out a box, and opened it.

”Good thing I had you prepare a few extra substitute necklaces. Otherwise, who knows how many times you would have died by now.”

As he spoke, he took the item from within and placed it on Clelia’s brow.

It was a simple, unadorned necklace that looked like an ordinary piece of jewelry, devoid of any Extraordinary Power.

But when the necklace touched Clelia’s brow, it bizarrely melted into her body as if it had always been a part of her.

After doing this, Menor’s expression relaxed slightly. Full of wicked humor, he recited a line from a famous musical of the Fourth Era, ”Arise, my queen~”

He only dared to do this because he knew the substitute necklace had been sealed for too long, and it would take some time to awaken Clelia’s essence.

Otherwise, he would never risk getting an earful from Clelia by making such a joke.

With this thought, Menor glanced around, walked over to the workbench, and sat down in a chair to quietly wait for Clelia to awaken.

’This must be Wei’en’s workshop, right?’

”Runes, Magic Potions, machinery... A proper Wizard, indeed.”

Menor was knowledgeable and widely-traveled, with a vast circle of acquaintances. He knew very well that Wizards were different from other Extraordinary systems—theirs was a special system where advancement was only possible by mastering a sufficient amount of knowledge.

Many times, he even suspected that Wizards were not a power native to this world, but were outsiders, just like those aberrations.

Of course, this was just a thought that crossed his mind when he couldn’t beat those Legendary Mages and felt the urge to complain.

They were simply too monstrous—not only did they possess Magic with all sorts of bizarre abilities, but they could also use runes and the Gonzalez language to unleash power far beyond their level.

”Tsk, I can’t believe I’m thinking about those damn bastards again.”

”Oh? And what kind of bastards would leave such a deep impression on Lord Menor~”

Just then, Clelia, who had awoken at some point, spoke in a sultry voice, ”Do tell, so I can broaden my horizons as well~”

”You’re awake?” Menor’s expression stiffened, then he very naturally changed the subject. ”Before you died this time, did you forget to tell that little guy something?”

”Don’t you... huh?” Clelia reacted, sitting up and clutching her chest. ”Wei’en?”

”Who else?”

”What happened?”

Menor chuckled. ”I suppose he doesn’t know you prepared multiple substitute necklaces, so he’s currently fighting those people from the Dawn Church to the death.”

”Quick, let me see.”

”Not going to ask who those bastards were now?”

Clelia shot him a glare. ”You wouldn’t want me to go back there right now, would you?”

”...You win.”

’I can’t handle her,’ Menor thought. ’When she was back at headquarters, it was chaos every day.’

Thinking this, he waved his hand gently, summoning a mirror. Ripples swirled across its surface, gradually revealing a Five-Masted Sailing Ship, a broken and sinking Steamship, and...

”Wei’en, hmm? What is that?”

Seeing that Wei’en was safe and sound, and had even killed so many Holy Professionals from Dawn, Clelia couldn’t help but sigh in relief.

”Is there a need to ask? That’s a gift from Dawn, of course. Probably another Favorer of the Dawn Authority.”

Menor’s tone was light, completely unconcerned about what kind of power Dawn now possessed. ”I have to say, you’ve found a remarkable new member for the Eternal Life Association this time.”

”I’m even considering proposing him for the position of Deacon at the next meeting.”

”Deacon?” Clelia’s brow furrowed in displeasure. ”Menor, you’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you? I’m not even a Deacon yet. If you make him one, won’t that put him a rank above me?”

”What? Unhappy with the idea of being his subordinate?” A wicked grin appeared on Menor’s face. ”Or perhaps I should find someone else to be his assistant?”

”Someone else...” Clelia’s brow smoothed out, and a sultry expression returned to her face. She glared at him and asked, ”I wonder who Lord Elder thinks would be most suitable~”

Menor: ”...”

’Who’s suitable?’

’No matter who it is, I’m not saying a word!’

”I was just kidding. Ahem, let’s just see how he deals with that Favorer first.”

”Hmph!” Clelia rolled her eyes at him. She knew he wouldn’t dare name anyone; otherwise, she would definitely hunt that person down and turn them into a puppet.

Then, her gaze returned to the mirror, focusing on Wei’en in the reflection.

’I deliberately didn’t tell him about the substitute necklaces before. I wonder if he’ll be angry...’

’Well, if it comes to it, I’ll just let him punish me.’

’A spanking?’
