Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

”Plague Doctor, this isn’t working! If we can’t stop that blessing ceremony, we’ll all be turned into fanatics when the Lord of Dawn’s gaze descends!”

Black Jack stood high above, giving him a clearer view.

Under the radiance from outside, the tentacles turned crimson as if scorched. Pustules swelled up and oozed dark red slime. Just two seconds later, the flesh on the tentacles sloughed off, leaving only blood-red cartilage behind.

The Deep Sea Giant Beasts seemed to be in immense pain, opening their maws to roar wildly.

”I know!”

Yuan’s gaze swept over the golden-blue sphere of light that also enveloped the Candidacy Saintess. He didn’t dare harbor any ill will toward her, his mind focused solely on interrupting the blessing ceremony in the sky.

A golden staff had appeared in his hand at some point. He waved it and chanted an incantation: ”Er, Wende, Wensi!”

An invisible power surged from all directions, raising the ambient temperature by several degrees as it continuously condensed into the red gemstone at the tip of his staff.

’Legendary Skill—Vulcan’s Roar?’

Wei’en deciphered the phrase in the Gonzalez language and stared at Yuan in shock and disbelief. He—

’He’s a Wizard from the Spiritual Mystery School?!’

Immediately after, he saw a jet of ethereal blue fire shoot from the tip of the staff, slamming straight into the pillar of golden and blue light.

Under the impact of the ethereal blue flame, the golden-blue pillar of light merely flickered before growing even more brilliant and dazzling, radiating an endless glow.

BOOM!

A massive roar resounded as a terrifying might swept outward, completely incinerating the Deep Sea Giant Beasts’ tentacles and leaving gashes on their bodies that were deep enough to show bone.

”ROAR—”

Hearing the roars of the giant beasts, Yuan frowned. ’Still not enough?’

”Think of something, fast! If we wait any longer, It will descend!” The aftershock from the clash of magic had also burned Black Jack, but fortunately, he was far enough away that the wound wasn’t too deep.

’Still not enough?’

Wei’en stared at the sphere of light in the sky, his crimson pupils glittering in its reflection like two balls of fire.

Yuan and Black Jack, two Legendary-tier individuals—one of whom was a Wizard from the Spiritual Mystery School who had mastered a Legendary Skill—were still unable to interrupt the projection of the Lord of Dawn’s gaze.

’The Lord of Dawn, Orpheus...’

’This was the first time he had truly felt the presence of a god. He never imagined it would be this powerful!’

”Praise the great Dawn. Its gaze is as warm as fire, bringing light to the world.”

”Praise the great Dawn. Its figure is tall and mighty, protecting the world from falling into ruin.”

”...”

Just then, a voice resounded in everyone’s ears. Its tone was gentle, and it carried a sacred aura that washed over them like a spring breeze, as if to purify their very souls.

Even the violently surging sea calmed at the sound, revealing terrifying Deep Sea abominations. Exposed beneath the golden-blue radiance, their tentacles unconsciously tangled together, forming a bizarre hand gesture. Countless eyes turned to the sky in unison, like pious believers in prayer.

At the same time, a figure slowly materialized within the golden-blue sphere of light in midair. It was none other than Pavla, in her original form.

However, she was now dressed in a magnificent golden gown, with a golden circlet on her forehead bearing the emblem of a sun in its center.

[Your Origin has exceeded 1500. You are exempt from the influence of the Benevolence Authority. Evaluation: Orpheus is coming, hehe. Why don’t you try hiding in the Deep Sea? Special Reward: Survival Points +100, Origin +2, Spirit Level +2, Resilience Level +2.]

’Hide in the Deep Sea?’

’If you’re going to mock me, at least be more creative!’

The thought flashed through Wei’en’s mind. He looked at Yuan and the others. ”Is there no way out?”

”’Prepare to defend your Origin Spirit with your life,’ Yuan said, his voice cold as his gaze fixed deeply on the figure materializing within the sphere of light. ’When a god projects its gaze, it has only one purpose: to forcibly convert all surrounding creatures into believers. Even Black Jack and I...’”

’So there really is no way out?’

Wei’en tentatively suggested, ”Could we hide in the Deep Sea?”

’This damn spatial lock. If it weren’t for this, I’d already be back in the Theater Space.’

’And what about Clelia?’

’She’s still waiting to be resurrected!’

”’It’s useless,’ Yuan said, shaking his head. ’This entire sea has been locked on by Its gaze. Even in the Deep Sea, the power of that gaze would only be slightly weakened. Unless...’”

”Unless what?”

”’Unless that girl from last time loses control again. It would take a Level Four Calamity Power to resist Its gaze!’”

’Tina?’

Wei’en suddenly remembered he could still use the teleportation ability from his Partner Contract.

’It’s worth a try!’

Before he could focus his mind on the white-haired girl, a light chuckle came from nearby. ”Plague Doctor, looking a little rough?”

”’Hm?’ Yuan turned his head to look, a flicker of reminiscence in his eyes. ’You’re... Menor?’”

’Menor?’

Wei’en looked over as well and saw a robed figure standing on the ship’s railing not far away. Their silver-gray eyes watched them, the corners of their mouth turned up in a slight smile.

”And me, too~”

’That voice?’

Wei’en’s gaze shifted to the side, his eyes widening. ’Her, Clelia?’

”’Sorry to make you worry, Captain,’ Clelia said, sticking her tongue out playfully at him. She was wearing a silk miniskirt with Wei’en’s formal jacket draped over her shoulders.”

”You...”

”You...”

Yuan and Wei’en spoke at the same time, then fell silent as they heard each other.

Before Wei’en could speak again, Clelia zipped to his side and wrapped her arm around his. ”I forgot to tell you, I left a substitute necklace with Menor...”
