Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

This time, Ghost didn’t pause for a moment, casting one spell after another, his face almost breaking into a grin.

The driver, Red Heart, and the Secret Master could only watch helplessly. Red Heart was faring slightly better, as his Blood Boiling Technique was still in effect.

The Secret Master had it the worst. Unable to use Element, he was forced to watch Ghost’s performance. His face was a mask of utter indignation as he glared hatefully at the Holy Professionals, muttering under his breath, ”Rexi... Sir...” ’Kill them... Make them die!’

As Ghost cast his spells, Rune Arrays appeared one after another around the deck. Withered arms, in particular, burst from the ground, swarming forward as if they were endless.

Meanwhile, an Array materialized in the sky, from which Necromancer’s Claws, in groups of four, repeatedly lanced down toward the Holy Professionals.

What made Huberto, the Judgment Knight, despair even more was the Corpse Explosion Skill that Ghost had successfully cast. Noticing the pustules quietly forming on the corpses of the nearby Holy Professionals, his expression grew even uglier. He roared, ”Pavla, quick! Purify those plague-ridden bodies! We can’t let the Corpse Explosion Skill detonate!”

If not for the effects of the forbidden object’s curse, with his power, augmented by the Dawn Origin Sword, he would have slain Wei’en long ago.

But he also knew that all their prior preparations had been for the Demon Clown; they had never anticipated the appearance of a curse-type forbidden object like this.

At that moment, this Judgment Knight, long accustomed to matters of life and death after judging countless heretics, could only watch as Wei’en slaughtered the Holy Professionals. His heart wavered, and an emotion called despair began to stir within him.

’Damn it, you damned heretic!’

”Divine!”

”Purify!”

”Heal!”

A flash of sorrow crossed Pavla’s face. She, too, saw the many fallen Holy Professionals. Some she had spent every day with, others she had known for years. ’I never thought they would die here,’ she thought, ’in a battle to carry out a Judgment Order against a heretic.’

For now, she could only follow Huberto’s orders, repeatedly casting Dawn Holy Arts in an attempt to save the Holy Professionals who were on the verge of death.

The golden sword of light in the air suddenly erupted with a dazzling halo, which not only dispelled the plague from the corpses but also healed the Holy Professionals who were still alive.

Not only that, but the radiance also seemed to sense the deaths of the surrounding Holy Professionals, and it actively converged into the great golden sword in Huberto’s hands, providing him with power.

’Healing?’

Wei’en glanced at the woman with the golden wings, then increased his speed again, weaving among the Holy Professionals.

This time, he no longer left whole corpses behind. Wherever his Harmonica swept past, he took their heads, eliminating any possibility that they could be healed.

”You—” Seeing his Holy Professionals dying with muffled groans, Huberto was driven into a frenzy. He could no longer maintain the composure of a Judgment Knight and roared, ”I’m going to kill you!”

”Can’t take it already?” Wei’en said coolly, even as he ruthlessly struck down another Holy Professional. ”They’re just a few so-called believers of Dawn. Why are you so angry?”

Talent: Deception—Psychological Control, activated!

”This is no different from what you all did in the Caster City State. Despite possessing immense power as Holy Professionals, you just holed yourselves up around Krimms Cathedral, ignoring all the surrounding districts.”

”Ignoring those who weren’t Dawn Believers would be one thing, but you even abandoned your own followers who had just begun to walk the path of faith. You let them be corrupted and mutated, let them be sacrificed and slaughtered by the likes of the Despair Sect, the Abyssal Sect, and the Desire Sect.”

”So why do you care about their lives now? They’re just like those ordinary believers, but with an extra layer of armor. What’s the difference?”

”Heretic!”

”Heretic!”

”Heretic, shut your mouth!”

Huberto pursued Wei’en, wildly swinging his great golden sword without any regard for the other Holy Professionals nearby. His eyes, which had been flashing with golden light, were now faintly clouded with gray, as if he were being manipulated.

And the surviving Holy Professionals, seeing their comrades fall tragically to his blade, could not believe their eyes.

”H-How could this be?”

”Has the Lord of Judgment... gone mad?”

”W-Why? That’s right, why were we so indifferent to those people? A-Aren’t we supposed to protect everyone around the Cathedral? Aren’t we supposed to guard the city state?”

Pavla stared blankly at the battle, which had taken a sudden, sharp downturn. Her mouth fell slightly open. ”Lord of Judgment...”

’What is happening? Why would Lord Huberto attack his own comrades?’

”You?!” Huberto stared at Wei’en, his expression fierce and crazed, as if he wanted to eat him alive.

But Wei’en didn’t stop. He continued to mock him, ”See? How laughable your so-called Judgment is. How cold your so-called Dawn is. You’re nothing but abominations stripped of all emotion—things even more terrifying than the mutated!”

”If Dawn was useful, why didn’t it protect you? If Dawn had a will, why didn’t it protect those ordinary people? If Dawn has truly arrived, why is there still corruption and mutation...?”

”Mr. Judgment, you should stop and take a look at yourself!”

Behind him was the relentlessly pursuing Judgment Knight, two rows of battle-scarred corpses, and the wide-eyed, terrified Holy Professionals who looked as if they had lost their faith.

Hearing his words, all of them froze, as if sinking into a sea of immense doubt.

’That’s right... so many Holy Professionals have died. Why hasn’t Dawn descended with its divine favor to save them?’
