Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

’Origin?’

’Power of Dawn Faith in exchange for Dawn Origin?!’

Wei’en finally understood what that woman was doing.

She was using some method to convert the Power of Faith from herself, those Holy Professionals, and the ship’s figurehead into Dawn Origin Power for that Judgment Knight to use.

’Is this the restriction that comes with treading the path of faith?’

’The Origin is borrowed, faith is sacrificed... but do they also offer up their own bodies and souls?’

’Heh. Gods!’

”Heretic!”

Huberto gripped the golden greatsword with both hands. The Origin Power cast a golden sheen on his heavy armor, and intricate patterns could be seen emerging on his exposed skin.

”Accept the judgment of the Dawn!”

The Judgment Knight leaped high into the air, swinging his golden greatsword as he charged toward Wei’en.

As he drew closer, Wei’en sensed the corrosion from the Power of Dawn Origin intensifying. A mumbling whisper faintly echoed in his ears: ”The Dawn is half light, half darkness. Hold faith in your heart, and it shall accept you...”

”Nico, Ruke.”

Wei’en’s figure dissipated, avoiding the corrosion of the Dawn Origin as he reappeared behind the stern of the five-masted sailing ship.

He didn’t jump onto the deck. Despite the surge of power within him, he wasn’t about to let this illusion go to his head.

This was different from the time in the Caster City State. Back then, the Dawn Church didn’t have any particularly powerful Holy Professionals, so he could charge ahead recklessly. But with the Judgment Knight to deal with, the combined efforts of the other Holy Professionals, and various other restrictions, he had to be more cautious.

Huberto had anticipated his evasion. A horizontal slash of his sword wiped out all the phantom clones. He then spun around, transforming into a streak of golden light that instantly blocked Wei’en’s path.

”Judgment!”

”Wol, Gans, Tar!”

Sixteen Bone Walls rose up. Wei’en glanced at the system panel’s notification. ’At this range, I need at least twelve hundred Origin Power to be immune to the Dawn Origin’s corrosion?’

Tsk!

Talent - Spirit Conversion.

His Origin Power instantly surged from one thousand to twelve hundred!

At the same time, his Resilience Level increased to twenty thousand, and his Spirit Level dropped to seven thousand!

”An Jie, Te, Jinsen!”

Wei’en’s body suddenly tensed. Veins bulged, and his skin turned crimson. The Blood Boiling Technique allowed him to exert two hundred percent of his Resilience Level’s power.

The instant the Bone Walls were shattered, he gripped the silver harmonica and swung it toward the golden greatsword.

CLANG!!

A clear, crisp sound rang out.

BOOM—The storm generated by the violent collision blasted outward.

The harmonica chipped a tiny notch in the golden greatsword’s glow. The shattered light shot into the deep sea, kicking up splashes and bringing countless deep-sea fish and a few mutated corpses to the surface.

’I blocked it!’

Wei’en’s gaze hardened. He had deliberately chosen to take that blow head-on to help determine his next move in the fight.

’And it seems the result is a good one!’

”Hm?”

Huberto’s expression shifted slightly. ’A strike like that—a strike from a Holy Artifact manifested from the Power of Dawn Origin—was actually blocked by a Wizard using pure strength?’

’How could his power—his body—be so strong?’

’Damn it, it must be the curse from that forbidden item!’

”You—”

A smirk played on Wei’en’s lips. ”Mr. Knight, you can’t stop me anymore!”

’Eight seconds left in my blood-boiling state—time to begin!’

Ghost, Secret Master!

”Nico, Ruke.”

The phantom clones reappeared, and Wei’en’s figure once again vanished from beneath the golden greatsword.

”Watch out—”

Huberto had a bad feeling. Ignoring the phantom clones, he turned to chase after Wei’en, not forgetting to shout a warning to the other Holy Professionals.

’Faster, I have to be faster!!’

Wei’en appeared among the Holy Professionals. He glanced at Huberto’s position and revealed a cold, sharp smile.

’Can’t use Element?’

’Fine, I won’t use it then!’

While the Holy Professionals were still stunned, Wei’en’s body turned illusory. It was as if he were just swaying in place, but he was actually moving left and right, leaving behind a series of afterimages.

One by one, the surrounding Holy Professionals froze as if an Immobilization Spell had been cast on them.

But a closer look revealed a line of blood slowly seeping out from the connection point between their visors and the heavy armor on their upper bodies.

”Damned heretic, Judgment!”

Huberto’s expression was savage. A terrifying golden brilliance erupted from his body and condensed on his greatsword. The moment he landed on the deck, he shot forward, blocking Wei’en’s path and unleashing a golden blade of light.

”Too slow—”

Wei’en made no attempt to block. Abilities like the Speed Enhancement buffing his body allowed him to easily dodge the Judgment Knight’s attack. His harmonica seemed to casually pass by, slicing across the necks of the Holy Professionals and taking their lives one by one.

[You have killed Ansestus Newman. Evaluation: If the founder of the Phantoms saw you fighting like this, he would probably be so gratified he’d jump out of his grave and give you a critical hit of love. Special Reward: Survival Points +20, Resilience Level +1, Spirit Level +1.]

[...]

’A critical hit of love?’

’Absolutely not!’

As Wei’en weaved quickly through the ranks of the Holy Professionals, he had his ghost cast various Magic.

”Deep, Roko, Men!” (Shadow Entanglement!)

”Ble, Franco, Ah Wa!” (Necromancer’s Claw!)

”Siyaam, Sir, Sute!” (Corpse Explosion Skill!)
