Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

’Kali, I swear I’ll free you from the negative effects of your power!’

At this thought, Yuan offered a reminder. ”That boy from before was right. The Dawn Church won’t let you go. In the future, a Saintess in full command of her power, or even an Archbishop-level Holy Professional, will come to pass judgment on you.”

”I understand.”

Wei’en nodded. He was about to ask more about Kali’s condition when a crimson notification flashed on his panel—

[You are being corrupted by the Power of Dawn Origin. As your Origin Power is below 2000, your Origin will mutate. Evaluation: Be careful! The gaze of Orpheus is coming! Interrupt the blessing ceremony! Special Reward: Survival Points +400, Origin +8, Spirit Level +8, Resilience Level +8.]

’Orpheus’s gaze?!’

In the sky, the eyes of the vague, shadowy figure had, at some unknown point, turned a brilliant blue. They burned like two superheated flames, and through them, one could faintly discern pupils gazing down upon this very spot from across an endless expanse.

Terrifying!

Unstoppable!

The horrifying power was enough to send a shiver down one’s spine!

Wei’en only glanced at it for a moment before that massive, scorching, unstoppable power instantly incinerated his eyes, leaving two trails of blood streaming down his face.

’Companion’s Pact—Heal!’

’Spirit Conversion!’

Without hesitation, he activated his talents, directly converting his Resilience Level into Origin Power to nullify the corruption from the Power of Dawn Origin.

”A projection!”

Just then, Yuan also sensed the disturbance. He snapped his head up to look at the phantom in the sky. ”Jack, we’re in deep trouble!”

Black Jack, on the other side, reacted just as quickly, roaring, ”Waleed, the forbidden item!”

But despite their swift reactions, most of the pirates on deck stood frozen in place, their eyes dull and vacant as if they were mindless husks. Only a few were managing to resist the corruption of the Dawn Origin.

”U-Understood...”

Waleed, in a corner, also had a pained look on his face, but he was still conscious. Trembling, he pulled something that looked like a horn from his coat, raised it to his lips, and blew with all his might.

”HUUUUU—”

[You have witnessed Forbidden Item 2-14, the Storm Horn. The path of your fate has subtly changed. Encounter Progress: 10/100. Evaluation: Oh? Another piece of junk... Special Reward: Survival Points +20, Origin +2, Resilience Level +2, Spirit Level +2.]

As the long, low note of the horn echoed, a thick bank of dark clouds rolled in from the horizon. But as they neared the stretch of sea enveloped by the blessing ceremony, they seemed to hit an invisible barrier, breaking apart and seeping through only bit by bit.

”Damn it!”

Black Jack cursed, instantly appearing in midair.

”FES! TI! MINGXI!”

With this roar, his massive body began to swell. His spine bulged grotesquely, extending outward vertebra by vertebra. Blood-red muscles tore through his jacket, writhing and wrapping around the rapidly enlarging spinal column.

His head split apart at the mouth, tearing his face clean in two. A torrent of black ichor gushed from his throat, twisting and swelling to form the ferocious head of a beast. Dragon-like horns sprouted from its skull, and its cavernous maw was filled with jagged, razor-sharp fangs. Its eyes, each as large as a man’s head, glowed with a yellowish-brown light.

Moments later, a terrifying, slender-bodied beast with deep blue scales and sharp claws was suspended in midair. It blocked the glow of the Dawn Radiance, single-handedly enduring the corruption of the Dawn Origin.

”Hurry up! I can’t hold on for much longer!” the massive monster, which looked like a true Sea Dragon, bellowed, its mouth wide open.

Beneath the shadow it cast, the pirates who had been affected by the Origin’s corruption heard its voice and began to snap out of their stupor one by one.

Sensing the shadow that had fallen over them, they all looked up at the enormous monster in midair.

”First Officer...”

”What just happened?”

Yuan’s face was grim. ”Everyone, get into the cabins! You there, activate the Rune Array!”

”Yes, yes...”

Hearing his command, the pirates understood that a major crisis was unfolding and scrambled for the ship’s cabins. Those who hadn’t yet come to their senses were dragged along by their crewmates.

Marco, now clear-headed, quickly joined Moskra. Together, they supported another crewmate between them and ran for the cabins.

”Dawn’s gaze is about to fall upon us!” Wei’en, who had no time to worry about Marco’s movements, shouted. ”We have to interrupt the blessing ceremony!”

”Dawn, is it?”

Yuan gazed into the sky. His cold eyes seemed to pierce right through the monstrous form of Black Jack, seeing the deity that lurked above the clouds.

He slowly spread his arms and began to chant in a low voice, speaking in Gonzalese, ”Tari, Pufrey, Losa, Carlo...”

’The Call of the Forbidden Sea?!’

Wei’en tore his eyes from the sky and fixed his gaze on Yuan. ’Is this a summoning skill?’

Before he could investigate further, enormous Rune Arrays lit up on the sea’s surface around the Bai Ke Li. Deep blue light flowed along their intricate patterns, pouring into the runic nodes.

He then felt the ship beneath his feet lurch downwards. The already churning sea abruptly turned violent. The water roiled, forming several waves hundreds of meters high, leaving their ship in the trough between the colossal crests.

Enormous monsters emerged one by one from the giant waves. They resembled the Deep Sea Giant Beast from Dakman Island, their heads bearing only a single eye and a mouth. Countless twisted tentacles reached for the sky, forming a new dome above Black Jack’s massive body and completely enclosing the sea around the two Five-Masted Sailing Ships.
