Warhammer Divine Throne

The other side, in the bathroom of the VIP guest room of the Divine Hall of Justice.

Amelia was wrapped in a towel, despite her height being only just over one meter sixty, her figure was well-proportioned with a small but substantial chest. After living comfortably for several years with Laine, her skin, once rough due to poor nutrition and years of mercenary work, had restored to smooth and tender.

Being Laine’s maid didn’t mean all the dirty or tiring work was done by Amelia. As the Head Maid, her main responsibility was management and scheduling, occasionally serving Laine’s daily life, while the Dark Elf Ollica, as the personal maid, primarily took care of Laine’s day-to-day living, while managing and scheduling the castle servants for balance.

Amelia had always been quite confident in her figure.

Until she truly witnessed Surya’s explosive figure.

Even as a woman, Amelia could appreciate how appealing and intimidating Surya’s figure was. After years of training and body shaping, the proud figure of the female Knight was nearly enough to make any woman feel ashamed.

At least the little maid first looked at Surya’s figure, then at her own, and her face immediately fell.

”What’s wrong, Amelia?” The Knight, wrapped in a white towel, with her full chest bouncing with her movements, curiously looked at the little maid. ”Is the water too hot? Or are you uncomfortable sharing the hot spring with me?”

”Hmm~ Surya Sister’s figure is truly amazing!” Amelia shook her head and carefully immersed herself in a small bath, enjoying the hot spring bath.

”Well~ I’m naturally like this.” Surya looked at her proud figure with a hint of contentment. The Knight was very confident in her figure, at least Laine could attest to that.

The two women immersed themselves in the hot spring, enjoying the boiling bath, while rain and intermittent thunder sounded outside, the people inside feeling at ease. Surya fixed her gaze on Amelia, glancing back and forth, with always a hint of wanting to speak.

The sensitive and insightful Amelia immediately felt it. She raised her head: ”Surya Sister, you want to ask why I always hide my identity and stay by Laine’s side, right? I think... this Empire trip, you and Laine must have already learned... or at least guessed my identity, right?”

”Why, Amelia? Or... Emmanuelle?” The Knight turned her head, her swan-like neck with delicate skin adorned with beads of water. ”From the first meeting, I felt your identity was unusual, but since Laine didn’t mention it, I didn’t pay much attention.”

”The first meeting?”

”Yes, Amelia, although you are Laine’s maid, you seldom call Laine your master. You genuinely believe you are just Laine’s vassal, not his belonging, am I right?” Surya smiled as she spoke, ”When Laine included you, he was already the Divine Chosen Champion of the Lady. Generally, a maid who becomes a maid to a Holy Grail Knight, a Divine Chosen Champion, should feel extremely honored, with no reason not to call him master. But you always like to call him ’Mr. Laine,’ which shows that, deep down, you never believed your status was lower than his.”

Amelia kept silent, her head down.

”And then, after you came to Brittania, when Laine became a Baron, he decided to send you to Winford College for education, so I began to observe you.” Surya continued seeing Amelia’s silence, ”Despite your careful protection not to reveal anything, because of Laine’s trust, you have an innate sense of trust towards me. Hence, I asked you to call me sister, and you easily accepted it, even though this is Brittania, not the Empire across the mountains. I, being the Duke’s legitimate daughter, a Marchioness, within a stringent noble system, fewer than thirty female nobles in this country would directly call me Surya Sister. This shows, Amelia, you instinctively feel your ancestry and status are not inferior to mine, am I right?”

Amelia sighed deeply, seemingly finally letting go of her burden. She raised her head and spoke in a soft voice: ”Surya Sister, growing up in the Duke’s court, you most understand that the habits cultivated from court education since age three are very difficult to change. You’re the Duke’s daughter, I am the Prince-Elector’s daughter, our statuses are roughly equal, why can’t I call you sister? If I lowered my status and acted servilely, that would be the greatest insult to our family, and I couldn’t do that. I know Laine, due to growing up in the countryside of Nord and being raised by villagers, is a knight who often travels abroad for battles. He isn’t familiar enough with the court to see through this, only having some guesses, but you certainly cannot be fooled.”

”Then... Emmanuelle?” Seeing Amelia finally admitted her identity, Surya first sighed in relief, then felt a greater curiosity rising.

The Countess decided to seize the opportunity of this ”honest meeting,” to thoroughly understand the issues.

”Still call me Amelia, Surya Sister, I prefer the name I have now.” Amelia shook her head. She removed her usual disguise, and the girl’s youthful air gradually faded, her mature, charming little face began to show faint dark aura and a lazy demeanor, yet her pure face remained unchanged: ”You must be curious why I decided to be Laine’s maid, and why I’ve been doing it for six years, right?”
