Warhammer Divine Throne

It was its last arm, and now, in front of Laine, there was only a giant beast with six severed arms, bleeding everywhere.

The alliance forces roared madly, celebrating Count Laine’s impending victory, while the Ratmen kept collapsing, forming a circle around the Rat Mother, ready for their final resistance.

After once again cutting down two Storm Rats, the Demon Hunter Supreme Grandmaster realized he was witnessing a great battle. The aged Ernst seemed to return to the days of the Great Holy War, recalling the duel between Frederick, one of Savior Ludwig’s greatest warriors, and the first Great Demon under Khorne, Kabanha.

Inside Ernst’s aging body was an even more fragile soul. He knew he had lived too long, for so long that only an unrelentingly weary soul remained. Through centuries of life, he had seen too much, understanding the fate of every Demon Hunter who battled against Chaos to the end. Knowing his aged heart could no longer bear more, he had stopped taking apprentices decades ago, taking on only one mission each year, intending to spend his remaining days peacefully.

Yet just now, a long-lost passion rekindled in the chest of the Supreme Grandmaster, if it had indeed appeared.

Ernst began to understand why the Goddess of Brittania chose Laine as her Divine Chosen Champion. After battling such filth, there was no trace of corruption on him.

The Deep Pit Hatred clearly didn’t intend to give up just so. It fiercely made a Dragon Vehicle charge, and then this highest masterpiece in Skaven Ratman’s alchemical biology raised its chest, where the green light exploded.

Inside the chest, dozens of cables in the flesh connected to a giant dimensional stone! Now the green arc repeatedly exploded, the Deep Pit Hatred began to attempt crazily overloading the dimensional stone energy before self-destructing!

”Damn it!” Belgar smashed a Plague Monk into a meat paste with one hammer blow, the King of Eight Peaks shouting loudly, ”The Deep Pit Hatred is going to self-destruct!!!”

Laine remained silent, he stepped forward, beginning his charge.

The cables inside Deep Pit Hatred’s chest continued to accelerate, burning, with the crackling arcs being extremely harsh. It screamed loudly, in despair and madness unable to protect the Rat Mother, intending to drag everyone here to die with it!

The dimensional stone began to burn, with several cracks appearing on its green surface, its energy accelerating in release. Deep Pit Hatred was releasing its final power, intending to offer the corpses of these enemies to the Great Horned Rat!

The howling suddenly stopped.

Laine’s hand pierced through Deep Pit Hatred’s chest, directly pulling out the massive dimensional stone from its original position. His hand tore through the dimensional stone armor, penetrating the vile flesh of Deep Pit Hatred, extracting the whole dimensional stone. Having lost the dimensional stone, the Deep Pit Hatred finally fell, this terrifying giant beast of the Ratmen defeated by Laine.

With Deep Pit Hatred’s fall, the Ratmen began a total collapse. Witnessing how this unparalleled giant beast was hand-torn by the Holy Grail Knight, no Ratmen dared continue fighting, scattering in panic.

Rick Guard Heilberg naturally wouldn’t let this opportunity slip, with Great Swordsman and Dwarf Ranger advancing side-by-side, the Walking Knight and Angland Oathsworn collectively pushed forward until Surya’s Leonais Sword pierced the Rat Mother’s body, after which Harharaver the Gold Digger activated Iron Dragon Cannon, roasting the Rat Mother and hundreds of little rats surrounding her into ashes.

Marshal Rick Heilberg let out a sigh, with over a dozen Great Swordsmen and eight Knights having died in this war. Victories require sacrifices, thankfully these sacrifices were acceptable to Marshal Rick. The Rat Mother was already ashes, and the remaining Ratmen should pose little threat: ”Alright, what should we do next?”

”Advance along this right-angled square rat-shaped pattern, that’s where the teleportation gate is located.” Belgar pointed to the mark on the wall.

Right-angled square rat shape? Laine thought what kind of shape is that? He raised his head to find Belgar was right.

Just three patterns pieced together.

The alliance briefly rested and continued advancing, Laine took several deep breaths, approaching Belgar’s side, yet before he could speak, Belgar first said, ”Oh! Laine my friend, you truly fought well, I like the sight of you bathed in Ratmen flesh, in the name of Grimnir! In the name of the King of the Angland Clan and King of Eight Peaks, this is praise from a Dwarf. Receive it with gratitude and satisfaction.”

Surya smiled secretly, the female knight holding her husband’s arm proudly and with joy.

”This metaphor sounds strange, but I accept your praise, King Belgar.” Laine really couldn’t get used to Belgar’s awkward compliments, so he could only smile casually: ”Vanquishing evil, that’s what I should do, it’s what the Lady always expects of me.”

”Oh huh~ Your Goddess likes her Divine Chosen Champion killing rats, doesn’t she? Then we might have much to talk about.” Belgar raised his hammer.

”Not just rats, but many others, as long as they’re enemies of evil and the Lady, I will surely eradicate them.” Laine calmly shifted the topic away from the Ratmen.

”It’s indeed like that for humans, you’re always fighting relentlessly for survival.” Belgar encountered a soft nail, and the King of Eight Peaks had to continue: ”With the Rat Mother’s destruction, this Ratman clan suffered heavy losses, it’s essentially done for.”

”The Rat Mother’s demise is indeed a major favorable development for the Empire, but why are you certain the Rat Mother would definitely pass through our location?” Marshal Rick Heilberg took the opportunity to inquire further.

”Failing to capture Hemgart exceeded the Ratmen’s plans, so the Rat Mother staying here is no longer safe. If I’m not mistaken, this clan is retreating through the dimensional stone teleportation gate, and what we need to do is destroy the teleportation gate, best if we could kill the Warlord.” Belgar stroked his white beard and continued: ”If so, we might learn the Ratmen’s movements and next plans, my clan has experts specializing in Skaven Ratmen language.”

Troops proceeded through the mine tunnel, several small-scale battles ongoing, the retreating Ratmen had lost any desire to fight, against the human army’s assault, they could only collapse and flee.

Fighting all the way through, when the alliance had traversed a long distance, Surya suddenly halted, ”Wait!”

”What is it?” Laine indicated for everyone to stop.

”We... should’ve already entered Montfort’s territory, look at this mark.” Surya pointed to the dim mine tunnel, where the family crest of Duke of Montfort Fulcard, black background white castle shield emblem, glowed in the ancient stone building cluster.

”Looks like the Skaven Ratman’s target isn’t just the Empire.” Marshal Rick Heilberg glared, ”You Brittania people find an opportunity to warn Duke of Montfort. For now, our priority is destroying the teleportation gate!”

”The teleportation gate is just ahead.” Belgar pointed at the green light in the distance.

It was a massive circle created by dimensional stone and Ratmen high technology, suspended in the middle with iron chains several meters in diameter, a few Skaven Ratmen in the process of retreating, the Skaven Ratman Warlord Osside Abyss holding a long halberd, anxiously waiting.

A call for help signal came from the Rat Mother’s side, but quickly cut off, it had no clue of the Rat Mother’s condition! Leaving Osside feeling tormented, for the Rat Mother was crucial to a clan!

”Damn it damn it! Hairless creatures! Great Horned Rat, Great Horned Rat won’t spare you!” Osside was about to talk further when a storm of thunderbolts and dense crossbow arrows, musket barrage instantly flooded its location.

The Skaven Ratmen were utterly stunned by this barrage, morale plunged, most Ratmen scrambling towards the teleportation gate.

Too late, the cables forming the teleportation gate severely damaged, amidst the smoke from the collapsing dimensional stone machinery, a Holy Grail Knight, a female knight, a Rick Marshal, a Demon Hunter, and a Dwarf were gradually revealing themselves.

Osside gestured for the Ratman personal guard to protect itself, it could see its army crumbling, just as it was about to inquire who would face it, the Holy Grail Knight pointed at the Skaven Warlord, shouting loudly.

”Against such evil creatures, there’s no need for knightly path, everyone, charge together!!!”

”Attack Ahhhh!!!” Humans and Dwarf Alliance Army surged towards the Ratmen.

”???” The Skaven Warlord’s head was spinning, this Knight! Actually more despicable and shameless compared to Skaven Ratmen?!
