Warhammer Divine Throne

Although Brittania and the Empire have never lacked border conflicts and minor wars in history, they once again chose to support each other in the face of a common enemy.

Of course, Laine thought this couldn’t be entirely attributed to chivalry or the so-called shared human destiny. On a smaller scale, the customs revenue from Axe Bite Pass was a major source of income for his Montfort Duchy. If the pass couldn’t facilitate trade, Duke Fulcard would soon have to tighten his belt for more than a year. From this perspective, he was definitely the most anxious and hoped for the resumption of the trade route.

”How much does the closure of the trade route at Axe Bite Pass affect our trade?” Laine asked about his concern.

”Not too much, my Count. Last year, the Oliver Commerce Association’s total trade was about fifty-four thousand Gold Kron, and after deducting costs, transportation fees, and other necessary expenses, the profit was roughly six thousand Gold Kron.” Oliver then took out a list: ”Our main trade is still via sea, escorted by Duke Boldro’s Sea God Fleet to Marinburg for trade, and the trade volume at Axe Bite Pass is less than nine thousand Gold Kron.”

Laine took the account sheet and looked at it carefully. The overall figures and accounts were very clear, with no problems. Oliver was indeed very thorough in his work.

”I remember the Wood Elves’ goods are always hugely profitable,” Laine joked casually as he returned the accounts to Oliver.

”That’s correct, but the supply of Wood Elf goods is not high, and for some products like timber and grain, we ship them at relatively lower prices,” Oliver habitually spoke in merchant jargon: ”The products are in high demand, but the scale can’t be expanded.”

Laine nodded. The Wood Elf’s large caravans typically came once every two to three weeks, carrying only a few carts of goods each time. The smaller trades were ongoing, but his territory could absorb them.

”Dwarven weapons and many tools are indeed in high demand, but these goods can’t be sold to the Empire and Marinburg. You know, Count, the Empire has many Dwarves, so Dwarven goods are mainly hot sellers within Brittania,” Oliver continued to analyze various product sales and different demands. The Wood Elf potions were the most popular among all the products, followed by several high-end wines produced by the Surya family in Winford, and then numerous magic potions produced by Lake God Witch Mogiana and the Veronica Dawn Wizard Tower.

Laine took out a roll of parchment: ”This is a new batch of Magic Ore and materials needed by Veronica’s Dawn Wizard Tower. I’ll leave it to you to procure them from the Empire.”

”Understood.” Oliver took the parchment. Procuring these Magic Ores and materials from the Empire required special channels. Fortunately, Laine had already reached an agreement with Emperor Carl. Otherwise, Oliver would have been at a loss on how to proceed.

Previously, Veronica didn’t care about such things. If I needed it, you had to get it for me; otherwise, the Jialan Witch would make complaints to Laine, and Oliver had lost quite a bit of hair worrying about it.

”Oh, by the way, my Count, the Ugoer Bow Cavalry Corps from Kislev has already set off from Erlengrad, arriving at Marinburg to restock, preparing to bypass Leonais and land at Boldro. Besides a whole tribe of several hundred people, the Kislevites have also, at your request, brought along several large bears ready to perform in a tour across Brittania,” Oliver continued with the next topic.

”The leader of this troop is a Ugoer Chief named Mikhail Ivanovich Gavorov, nicknamed ’Terrible Ivan’ or ’Big Ivan.’
