Warhammer Divine Throne

PS. Some people are debating about the protagonist’s identity. Let me emphasize here that Space Marines are not truly humans. They are creations born of Subspace and high technology. The protagonist is a real and complete human, and he will not undergo genetic modification surgery, just like the Emperor doesn’t need such surgery. Similarly, the protagonist’s slow growth is precisely because he is not a ”tool.”

”This is a story from thousands of years ago, depicting the image of the First Phoenix King, Ainarieo, fighting alone against the four Chaos Great Demons to protect this world and create an opportunity for the Elf Great Mage Dragon Tamer - Calado.” The Lake Fairy pointed to the image first: ”You must have heard this story.”

”Yes.” Laine indeed knew this story.

After the teleportation gate of the Ancient Saint collapsed, endless Chaos Demons poured into this world. Dwarves, Lizardmen, and Elves jointly resisted the Chaos Demons. While Dwarves and Lizardmen could resist stubbornly, the Elves were the first to collapse as a race. This was because they originally lived peacefully in Ossuan, a Blessed Land Cave Heaven built by the Ancient Saint. They were not skilled in combat and also had low fertility rates.

Thus, as the Elves neared extinction, adventurer Ailario wept blood seeking the help of the Elf Main God, Phoenix Lord Asuyan. Unable to get an answer, he decided to sacrifice himself and entered the Holy Fire of Asuyan...

Ailario succeeded. His body was reshaped in the Holy Fire, becoming the eternal Phoenix King.

Initially, Ailario, who possessed extraordinary power, indeed led the Elves to successive victories, reclaiming lost lands. However, the number of Chaos Demons was infinite, and they were never-ending. As his wife, the Eternal Queen, also died in battle, Ailario drew the Kaine’s Demon Sword, a symbol of power and curse, and continued the bloody battle against the Chaos Demons with his Dragon Knights.

The Kaine’s Demon Sword was indeed formidable, allowing Ailario to achieve continuous victories. However, it’s essential to emphasize that Chaos Demons cannot be eliminated. When they die, they return to Subspace and will be restored and return.

Even with the help of Kaine’s Demon Sword, the Elves could not avoid the fate of failure. It was at this time that the Elf Great Mage Dragon Tamer - Calado proposed a plan — to create a Magic Vortex that would absorb all the Chaos Energy required to summon Chaos Demons, so that, losing energy support, the Chaos Demons could no longer exist in the world.

Ailario initially refused this plan. However, as the Elves continued to suffer defeats, Calado started this plan again in desperation. Driven by a sense of duty and mission, and increasingly maddened by the sword’s corruption, Ailario led his Dragon Knights army to assist Calado.

The war’s brutality was unimaginable. Almost all the Dragon Knights were killed in battle. Finally, Ailario faced four Chaos Great Demons and killed them one by one, but he was also heavily wounded and died... However, his efforts did not go in vain. Calado completed the plan, and the Magic Vortex absorbed the world’s Chaos Energy. The Demons lost the Chaos Energy that supported their existence and dissipated completely. Then the Shilan Demon Toad, servants left by the Ancient Saint, used ”Great Guardian” to close the teleportation gate.

This Magic Vortex is today’s—Great Vortex.

This was the first true Chaos Invasion.

”Chaos Demons, from Subspace, they are powerful, they are unstoppable, and wherever they pass, they bring boundless destruction. Even if we can defeat them once or twice, they will always return. Do you know why, Laine?” the Lake Fairy continued.

”Because... as long as Subspace exists, these creatures will exist.” Laine looked at Ailario on the image, finding it hard to imagine what kind of will the First Phoenix King, already deeply corrupted by the magic sword, had to single-handedly contend with four Chaos Great Demons.

Chaos Great Demons are the ultimate creations of Chaos Evil Gods, or rather, they are part of Chaos itself. Their terrifying power is beyond human imagination, and even weaker Deities are no match for them.

”Yes, as long as Subspace exists, Chaos Demons will exist.” The Lake Fairy looked at Laine with her bright eyes, her thin cherry lips slightly parted: ”But Subspace is composed of energy. This energy stems from the desires, emotions, beliefs, and thoughts of any being in the Physical Universe. Any activity beneath the scalp will cause Subspace to fluctuate, and this fluctuation is energy.”

”Therefore, Subspace is Chaos, and Chaos is Subspace.”

”As long as there are creatures, emotions exist. No matter what the emotion is, it will disturb and provide energy to Subspace. We can never escape from Subspace, so we can never escape Chaos.”

”Four basic human emotions gave rise to four Chaos Evil Gods. They are hatred, hope, joy, and despair: Blood God Khorne, Master of Intrigue Tzeentch, Pleasure Prince Slaanesh, and Father of Decay Nurgle.”

”In addition, the remaining emotional energy projections in Subspace become Deities, such as Charlemagne, who symbolizes the concept of the human race, me, symbolizing the Eight Virtues of Chivalry, and Yurik, symbolizing courage and strength.”

”The similarity between us and the Chaos Four Gods is that we are also created by the convergence of emotional projections in Subspace. The difference between us and the Chaos Four Gods is that if Chaos symbolizes destruction and void, we symbolize existence and substance.”
