Warhammer Divine Throne

”Master!” It was Miranda, the little maid with a sweet smile.

”...” The Dark Elf Ollica saw Laine return and, in a somewhat imitative manner, lifted her skirt but said nothing.

Seeing the blood on the corner of Laine’s mouth and his torn clothes, Amelia exclaimed, ”What happened? Mr. Laine, did you get into a fight?”

”It’s nothing, just a small scuffle with the Godfather.” Laine didn’t really mind. He first went to bathe and change into clean clothes, then called Amelia and Ollica into his room.

It was already late outside when Amelia and Ollica heard Laine’s summons and came to his room.

”You’re here, sit.” Having changed into a set of clean clothes, Laine motioned for Amelia and Ollica to sit down.

Amelia aside, Ollica looked at Laine suspiciously for a while, but she knew she had no ability to resist and could only obediently sit down.

The cool moonlight streamed through the window into the room, where a warm fire was blazing in the fireplace. The room was carpeted with thick rugs imported from the Southern Realm, and a comfortable velvet bed was placed at the center. No matter how many times she experienced it, Ollica could still feel the opulence of human life.

”Ollica, you seem to be in a lot of pain lately?” Laine asked, and Amelia also looked at the Dark Elf with concern.

”... This has nothing to do with you, human,” Ollica said coldly, speaking in the Elf Language. However, as soon as she finished, she clutched her chest in pain, raising her head to glare at Laine with spite.

Laine raised an eyebrow; the contract mark in his hand was shining brightly, ”First, you must call me master, then, as your master, I command you to tell me why you keep having nightmares every night and waking up from them.”

”Human, you think you’ve won me?” Ollica clutched her chest, resisting the torment of the Slave Mark with difficulty. Suddenly she laughed, though it was a strained laugh, ”Even as a captive, don’t expect to defile me, human!”

After saying this, Ollica suddenly chanted a spell, trying with great difficulty to gather a bit of magic power, but her fragile soul made this process excruciatingly slow.

”What is this!” Laine suddenly sensed a sign of magic fluctuation, and he immediately shielded Amelia behind him. With a gentle lift of his hand, he released subspace spiritual energy. Ollica, shocked, found herself unable to sense any magic power: ”Ah! This! This is impossible!”

”Heh heh~” Laine approached Ollica step by step, the Genetic Primarch scoffing, ”Nothing is impossible.”

Then, with a casual wave of his hand, he extracted the last bit of magic power from Ollica amidst her cries of pain, ”Now you’ve lost your last bargaining chip.”

”No! No! Don’t come any closer!” Ollica retreated in panic, the Dark Elf’s hair somewhat disheveled. Sitting on the carpet, her black maid dress was quite wrinkled. Her long legs, clad in white stockings, were fully exposed in front of Laine, her tiny feet in deerskin ankle boots kicking desperately, trying to help herself retreat.

But Laine’s approach was like the tolling of doomsday bells, and the Dark Elf was powerless to resist until the man extended his arms and lifted her by the waist. Then he gestured to Amelia, ”Amelia? Help Ollica take off her boots.”

”Yes, Mr. Laine!” Amelia came over and removed Ollica’s pair of deerskin ankle boots, exposing the Dark Elf’s beautiful white stocking-clad feet, though she continued to kick non-stop, ”Let me go! Let me go!”

”Quiet, or I’ll really xx you!” Laine threatened viciously in Ollica’s ear, his teasing tone making Amelia chuckle discreetly.

Now Ollica dared not move, ”Human, I won’t move. You better not do that kind of thing to me!”

”A slave has no right to negotiate terms! But if you behave, I might consider it,” Laine said blandly. The Dark Elf indeed stopped moving, though she looked at him with eyes filled with fear and hatred. But she soon found that Laine only laid her back down on the sofa, ”Human! What exactly do you want to do?”

”I just want to find out why you have nightmares at night? Why do you wake up from them?” Laine sat back down beside Amelia and continued questioning.

”... Fine, there’s no harm in telling you,” Ollica finally gave in, knowing that if she didn’t behave a little better, she might end up being manipulated by the powerful human before her. She sneered, ”It’s our race’s arch-enemy, the Lord of Pleasure Slaanesh, one of the Chaos Four Gods, who wants to devour my soul.”

”Devour your soul?” Laine thought for a moment; he felt that the Dark Elf wasn’t lying.

The Slave Contract ensured that a slave could not lie to their master, but she could choose to avoid certain questions and hide some crucial facts. However, on this issue, Laine felt that the Dark Elf told the truth.

The souls of Elves are the ultimate delicacy to the Chaos God. If human souls taste like college cafeterias, then Elf souls are like five-star hotel seafood buffets, and the souls of Elf Nobility are like Michelin-starred restaurants. Thus, Chaos Gods are always seeking ways to devour all Elven souls.

Compared to the High Elves protected by the Phoenix Lord Asuyan and the Wood Elves sheltered by the World Tree, Dark Elves are more decadent and depraved, yearning for blood and carnage. The Dark Elves worship the God of Blood and Murder, Kaine (the Blood Hand God). This deity’s endless craving for blood and skulls made Dark Elves particularly susceptible to Chaos Corruption. Furthermore, hedonism and licentious ideology rampantly spread in their upper echelons, leading to widespread corruption, making the Dark Elves a vicious and depraved race... At least that’s what the High Elves tell the humans.

There is a lot of exaggeration in there, but the relationship between Dark Elves and Chaos is indeed profound. For instance, Laine once learned from the White Wolf Archbishop Maras that the Blood Hand God Kaine and one of the Chaos Four Gods, Khorne, are actually two sides of the same coin. If the White Wolf War God and Khorne represent completely different interpretations and conflicts regarding survival of the fittest, courage, and glory, then Kaine and Khorne are essentially the same thing; the things they emphasize and display are basically identical.

Hence, Dark Elves often ally with the Northern Barbarians to ravage coastlines, though they are never short of wars amongst themselves.

”Don’t you Duruzi have ways to cope with this kind of situation?” Laine continued to ask. Nᴇw novel chapters are publɪshed on novel{f}ire.net

”... We used to, but not anymore. Those vile Asurs destroyed my soul through secret art, and now I feel the Lord of Pleasure’s gaze on me every night, greedily watching my soul,” Ollica covered her face fearfully, ”That omnipresent darkness, that deepest inner fear, is something you humans cannot comprehend because your souls are worthless.”

”If that’s the case, I think I can help you,” Laine said calmly, while Amelia curiously watched Laine, wanting to know how he planned to help this Dark Elf.

”Help me? Ha! Foolish humans, what can your brief lives and shallow knowledge possibly do for me? Don’t be ridiculous...” Ollica said disdainfully.

”I wouldn’t want a maid I spent over ten thousand Gold Marks on to become food for the Evil God!” Laine’s hand suddenly ignited with pale blue flames, the immense energy within shocking the Dark Elf, filling her with deep fear, ”Human! What are you going to do?! Don’t come near me!”

”First of all, you must call me master, secondly, I’m saving your soul,” Laine approached slowly, ”Amelia? Hold her down!”

”Yes, Mr. Laine!” The little maid came over and firmly pressed Ollica onto the sofa, completely ignoring her screams and constant struggling.

Then, Laine’s hand, burning with pale blue flame, was directly placed on the Dark Elf’s forehead.

”Huh? What is this?”
