Holy Terra, Imperial Palace, Golden Throne.

I was born from the collective suicide of countless shamans, their thousands of souls and knowledge, power converged into me—a being that the Ancient Saint City dreamed of, representing the pinnacle of racial evolution.

The being known as the Emperor was born.

For thousands of years, I have traversed the world, observing humanity’s development as an observer. I witnessed the collapse of one dynasty after another, saw humanity evolve from primitives and barbarians to space colonists. I witnessed the fall of humanity’s dominance, destroyed in a storm of barbarism and ignorance. Countless subspace storms engulfed human pathways, with the awakening of the Chaos Four Gods tearing apart human civilization. Factional camps and empires fought for control within broken territories. Worlds completely unable to obtain external aid plunged into planet-wide famine and insane terror—subspace catastrophes even worse than these.

Among them, Terra was in the most dire situation. This birthplace of humanity had been completely drained of its last resources thousands of years ago. Without supplies from other planets, it was ruled by barbarism and regression. It seemed that human history was about to end, humanity on the brink of no return.

Thus, I finally decided to reveal my existence to humanity.

In just a few hundred years, I unified Terra completely, establishing order and reason. Under my rule, humanity once again entered prosperity and glory.

All humanity could not rely on me alone to govern. I attempted to use my genetic code to create twenty infants, hoping they would grow into powerful generals to lead my armies. I succeeded and also failed. The Genetic Primarchs were successfully created, but the Chaos Four Gods used a subspace storm to completely scatter my creations into the cosmic void. I could not conduct such an experiment again and could only use the remaining genetic seeds of the Genetic Primarchs to create Space Marines.

At this time, a massive shockwave swept through the immaterial realm, clearing the subspace storm that had plunged the galaxy into chaos for more than five thousand years. Humanity was once again heading towards the galaxy.

During the endless Great Crusade, one Genetic Primarch after another was recovered. The galaxy returned to humanity’s embrace. After the Great Crusade had carried on for a long time, I decided to bestow the title of ”Warmaster” on the first son I recovered—Horus. He was the one I trusted most; I believed he could continue the Great Crusade in my stead while I returned to Terra to carry out my secret plan.

But I failed. Under the scheme of the Chaos Evil God, Horus was corrupted and led nearly half of the legions and Primarchs to betray me. The entire galaxy was plunged into turmoil. He led an endless army to Terra and besieged the Imperial Palace. Foolish Magnus—he tried to use spiritual energy to warn me of Horus’s betrayal but fell into Tzeentch’s trick. His psychic transmission broke Terra’s defenses, opening a rift in the Net Dao, allowing the endless Chaos Army to pour into the palace. I had to use all my strength to sit on the Golden Throne to maintain the closure of the Net Dao. By the time Horus attacked the palace, I was already terribly weakened.

But I had to fight. It was the only way to defeat Horus and save humanity. To allow me to leave, Prime Minister Macado took my place on the Golden Throne. This nearly destroyed his life, but I had no choice.

After a tragic battle, I finally defeated Horus, but I was also severely wounded and on the brink of death. Poor Macado—he could have survived, but he chose to infuse his last bit of spiritual energy into me to awaken me, leaving humanity with the last bit of hope.

The twenty-first Genetic Seed.

After eleven thousand years of waiting and relentless torment, I finally awaited the destined one. His soul was unconnected to subspace, his bloodline was pure human. Laine finally fulfilled my task; he did not disappoint Macado’s hope. He found the relics of the Ancient Saints, loyal, filled with wisdom and power. He is the convergence and crystallization of my and Macado’s will, strength, and soul. He earned me a second chance.

Now, I shall awaken.

Intermission is over!!!

The decayed, shattered remains on the Golden Throne slowly began to stir as the pure cosmic energy accumulated over millions of years by the Ancient Saints was released. The withered skeleton was rewrapped in flesh, the skeletal frame rapidly restructuring, eyes appearing in the deep sockets. All cables, wires, and pipes linked to the Emperor’s body were severed.

The flesh was reshaped, the evil curse left by Chaos dispelled.

The alarm bells rang loudly within the Golden Throne Hall. Countless Emperor’s Guards alerted by the alarm stormed into the throne room. Since the rift in the Net Dao was reclosed several months ago, the Guards had sensed this day coming. But when they truly witnessed this day, all the Guards entering the throne hall knelt down, tears in their eyes, some even wailing incessantly.

Their Emperor had returned! The unscathed Master of Humans was standing before the Golden Throne, his face, embodying all wisdom and strength, was frowning. His towering figure descended the steps, step by step.
