Chapter 2033: Chapter 2034: So Happy, He Talked Nonsense

Su Yixing said, ”I’m also my parents’ son, it’s fine. Now that their anger has subsided, we don’t have to hide the fact that we’re married from them anymore.”

Then, Su Yixing once again conveyed An Jing’s intentions to Huo Qingyi, and as Huo Qingyi listened, her face turned red unconsciously.

Looking at Huo Qingyi’s flushed face, Su Yixing said awkwardly, ”Qingyi, how about we sleep in separate beds for a month?” He was a bit worried that if they shared a bed, he might not be able to resist touching her, and he was full of youthful vigor at this time.

Huo Qingyi blushed even more but still nodded.

But as soon as she nodded, Su Yixing changed his mind, ”Forget it, if we suddenly start sleeping separately after sharing a bed every day, I wouldn’t get used to it.”

Huo Qingyi always listened to him, so she just nodded again.

...

On August 14th, An Jing, Xiao Changyi, Su Yixing, An Yiyun, Su Yi Jing, and others set off for the Imperial City.

Considering An Yiyun’s health and that Su Yuxin was still young, the carriage moved at a slow pace.

...

On August 21st, An Yiqing and Gong Le arrived at Slayer Tower.

Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi were very happy to see their daughter Gong Le return.

”I mention you to your father every day, asking why you haven’t come back to see us yet,” Ye Zhi said with a smile as she pulled Gong Le to sit down.

Gong Le hugged Ye Zhi and then said cheerfully, ”Mom, I came back to tell you and Dad something.”

Ye Zhi asked, ”What is it?”

”Let’s have Big Brother Qing tell you, he came specifically to discuss this with you,” Gong Le let An Yiqing explain.

Only then did An Yiqing smile and say, ”Uncle Gong, Aunt Ye, my parents said that our family doesn’t have to marry off children in order of age, and since the 28th of next January is a good day, Lele and I plan to get married then.”

The smiles on Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen’s faces froze.

Being somewhat modern people, Ye Zhi knew An Jing didn’t care about the traditional hierarchy, but she still wanted to keep her daughter home for a couple more years.

To be honest, she didn’t want her daughter to get married at all.

Gong Juechen didn’t want it either.

But Ye Zhi recovered faster than Gong Juechen, and she asked, ”Can’t you delay the marriage a bit?”

Before An Yiqing could speak, Gong Le said, ”Mom, you and Dad always said I could get married once I turned sixteen, and this December tenth, I’ll be sixteen.”

Ye Zhi said, ”I know, it’s just that, I can’t bear to part with you...”

Gong Le immediately hugged Ye Zhi and said cheerfully, ”Don’t worry, Mom, I’ve thought it through. After I marry Big Brother Qing, I’ll bring you and Dad over to live with us, I won’t let you miss seeing me often since I’m your only child.”

Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen were both very comforted to hear this.

Especially Gong Juechen, who was overjoyed, saying, ”With that in mind, your mother and I could die happy even now.”

”Dad, what are you saying?!” Gong Le immediately got upset, her cheeks puffing with anger. ”Don’t talk about dying! You’ll live forever!”

”Who in this world can live forever?” Ye Zhi laughed, feeling even more reassured. ”Alright, your father and I know your filial wish, don’t be angry. He was just so happy he talked nonsense.”

Seeing Gong Le wasn’t angry anymore, Ye Zhi continued, ”I’ve also talked to your dad about this before, about what we would do after you got married, whether we would stay here at the Slayer Tower...”
