Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2029: Chapter 2030: The Problem Isn’t with Me at All!

So, he just forced a smile and said, ”I’ve given her my whole heart, I can only hang around and wait for her.”

An Jing sighed, hesitated for a while, and then cautiously asked, ”Star, how about you just stop holding back and tell her you like her, see how she reacts?”

Su Yixing was incredulous, ”Mom, how can you advise me like this?!”

”Why can’t I advise you like this?” An Jing was also confused, ”Your dad, your elder brother, your third brother, they all let the other party know when they understood their feelings. But you, you can’t even say ’I like you’ to her.”

”Anyway, I can’t bring myself to say it.” With that, Su Yixing became angry and said, ”Even if I didn’t say it to her, my actions have shown it. Everyone knows I like her, except for her. Clearly, she’s the one not getting it; the problem isn’t with me!”

An Jing nodded, ”What you’re saying seems to make some sense.”

Su Yixing immediately said, ”So, mom, just let me take it slow with her. She’s not going anywhere; she’s mine. I just want her heart now.”

An Jing laughed, ”How is she not going anywhere? Be careful, your master might send her away if she gets unhappy.”

”No way.” Su Yixing was extremely confident, ”Master has already promised not to transfer her away from me again.”

”Alright then,” An Jing didn’t say more, ”Your dad and I have no other expectations for you, as long as you’re happy.”

Su Yixing smiled, ”I’m doing quite well now.”

...

That night, Su Yixing held Huo Qingyi, but couldn’t fall asleep. So he quietly asked the person in his arms, ”Qingyi, are you asleep yet?”

Huo Qingyi didn’t speak, just shook her head in his embrace. If he couldn’t sleep, how could she?

”Then let’s talk about something.”

”What is it?” Seeing Su Yixing speaking softly, Huo Qingyi also lowered her voice.

”In our family, we don’t marry according to age order, so there’s no need to keep our marriage a secret. But the problem is, if my parents find out I secretly got married, they’ll surely be mad at me. How about this? Our previous ceremony won’t count, let’s pretend we were never married, what do you think?”

Even after bowing to heaven and earth, it won’t count...

Huo Qingyi’s heart ached, but she obediently said, ”I’ll listen to you.”

Su Yixing didn’t find anything wrong with Huo Qingyi’s words, but after some thought, he decided to forget it, ”Let’s forget it. Even though only the two of us know, it’s a solid fact and can’t be dismissed.”

But Huo Qingyi didn’t feel any better; Su Yixing’s words just hurt her.

It hurt her...

Huo Qingyi was stunned. Why was she hurt? Why was she bothered by this? He’s her master; isn’t she just supposed to listen to him?

Su Yixing continued, ”I’m afraid my parents would be angry, so I planned not to count it and marry you openly, but we did perform the ceremony, and as a man, I should own up to it. Once my third brother leaves tomorrow, I’ll tell my parents that we’re already married.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Qingyi suddenly felt much better. So, he just wanted to openly marry her again, not stop being husband and wife.
