Chapter 2027: Chapter 2028: Just in Time for a Double Celebration?

An Yiyun had already planned in his heart that after the imperial decree of marriage, he would reveal that his second brother was already married, so that he could get married earlier. But now, since his parents allowed them not to follow the order of age to marry, he would not reveal his second brother’s secret marriage.

He just smiled gently and said, ”Before, our third brother, fifth brother, sixth brother, and seventh brother urged our second brother to marry earlier, saying he was blocking their way to marriage. So our second brother gave a two-year deadline, saying that no matter what, he would marry in two years.”

”Oh, that’s how it is.” An Jing understood.

”Aunt Jing, you are the best mother-in-law in the world!” Gong Le happily hugged An Jing.

An Jing laughed out loud instantly, ”It’s fortunate your mother only has you as a daughter, no sons, or else she’d be jealous of you saying that about me.”

Su Yixing seemed normal on the surface, but in his heart: ”...” Master, it’s not my fault... really not my fault... it’s just that my parents are so enlightened...

Huo Qingyi: ”...” So does she still need to hide her marriage with their Young Master?

After Gong Le let her go, An Jing smiled again and said, ”Now that you don’t have to worry about the order of age, can you tell me when you want to get married?”

An Yiqing said, ”Uncle Gong wants Lele to be sixteen before he’ll let her go. We originally planned to marry on the next auspicious day after Lele turns sixteen.”

”Have you checked for the next auspicious day?” An Jing asked again.

An Yiqing smiled, ”In our spare time, Lele and I checked. Lele turns sixteen on the tenth day of the twelfth month, and next year on the twenty-eighth of the first month is an auspicious day for marriage.”

An Jing: ”So you plan to marry on the twenty-eighth of the first month next year?”

An Yiqing: ”Now that we don’t have to follow the order of age, it should be on that day.”

Gong Le cheerfully and straightforwardly said, ”On that day!” As she spoke, she joyfully hugged An Yiqing again.

Seeing An Yiqing and Gong Le hugging like children, there was no need to say how well they got along, An Jing was very happy, and her smile deepened.

Then, she asked again, ”What about you, Yun Er?”

An Yiyun smiled warmly, ”If the third brother doesn’t mind, I would like to marry on the same day as him.”

An Yiqing immediately said, ”Of course, I don’t mind! It’s a double joy!”

An Jing and Xiao Changyi exchanged a glance, both feeling that a double joy was indeed wonderful.

And since the two marriages would certainly be held in the Imperial City, Xiao Changyi spoke up and said to An Yiqing and An Yiyun, ”Since you two are getting married on the twenty-eighth of the first month next year, we should go to the Imperial City now to prepare, to avoid being flustered then.”

Su Yixing said, ”Fourth brother’s health isn’t good, and after rushing back all this way, he must be tired, let him rest a few days, then we return to the Imperial City.”

Xiao Changyi nodded. After a moment, he said, ”Five days later, we return to the Imperial City.”

”Yes, Father.”

”Father,” An Yiqing spoke separately. ”Since I’ve decided on the wedding day with Gong Le, I must inform Uncle Gong and Aunt Ye to show my sincerity. Tomorrow, I want to personally visit Slayer Tower.”

”That’s appropriate, you should go.”

...

Regarding the imperial marriage decree for An Yiyun with Wang Wenya and An Yiqing with Gong Le, Xiao Changyi planned to first write a letter letting the Emperor Su Chengyu grant the marriages, and just as Xiao Changyi finished writing the letter in the study and hadn’t sent anyone to deliver it, Su Yixing came in.

”Father, Mother, I heard from the baby that you were looking for me.”
