Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 143: Chapter 143: Please Find Teacher Wang for Any Issues

[I think this girl just shouldn’t get married.]

[Quit your job, go take the civil service exam, and get transferred to an easier position.]

[Weird, how come no one’s talking about the ”three types you shouldn’t marry” today?]

[Don’t marry a nurse. No matter how nice she is, all her energy goes into her work. There’s no family life.]

”Ma’am, I have a basic understanding of your daughter’s situation now.”

”This profile card needs a lot of work. You need to highlight your daughter’s strengths—a contract worker at a top-tier hospital with a stable income and a housing fund—otherwise, people will only focus on the fact that her job is demanding.”

”Unless your daughter is willing to turn over her salary, no man will want a woman who is too busy with work and doesn’t care for her family.”

”What’s the point of marrying her? To enjoy the fact that she’s never home, or to spend money on her?”

”Huh? What? The woman has to turn over her salary?” The auntie looked shocked.

Beside them, Teacher Wang’s hand trembled. In all her years in the business, this was the first time she had ever heard such a thing.

’Has the world changed so much?’

”She doesn’t have to turn over all of it, but she must contribute a portion to subsidize household expenses,” Zhang Zhe said seriously. ”She absolutely cannot just spend it all on herself.”

”Otherwise, the man will feel insecure.”

”A man needs to feel secure?” The auntie shot to her feet.

[The streamer is so brave.]

[Brother Zhang is awesome! He’s the streamer I follow, all right!]

[I never understood it. If nurses don’t make good money, why not find another job? If they do make good money, where does it go? Now, after hearing the streamer, I get it.]

[If a female nurse was actually willing to turn over her entire salary, I think some guys would be willing to marry her. But the chances of her ending up with a scumbag would also be pretty high.]

[The reality is, she earns her own money and spends it on herself, sometimes she even has to ask her family for more, and then she comes home with a sour look on her face.]

[Unless he’s some kind of maniac obsessed with carrying on the family line, a normal guy wouldn’t go for a woman like this.]

Seeing a commotion, the surrounding uncles and aunties quickly gathered around.

”What’s going on? What’s happening?”

”Are they arguing again?”

”What outrageous thing did the Matchmaker say this time?”

”Why is this Matchmaker so handsome? He looks a bit like a movie star.”

Seeing the crowd gather, the consulting auntie seemed to gain a sudden burst of confidence. She pointed at Zhang Zhe and said:

”This Matchmaker told me that after my daughter gets married, she has to turn over part of her salary, otherwise the man will feel insecure.”

”Have any of you ever heard of such a thing?”

”Not turning over her salary is also an option. But in that case, you can’t demand the man provide a marital home. Your daughter can just pay for a mortgage with him.”

”In short, she has to contribute to the small family.”

Zhang Zhe wasn’t flustered at all; he even felt like laughing.

”Your daughter is a nurse. You can ask her—after a long, busy day at work, when she gets home, how much energy does she have left to take care of her family?”

”In a marriage, everyone has to work together to maintain the family. If she can’t provide emotional support, then she should provide financial support.”

Hearing this, the onlooking uncles all nodded in agreement.

You could tell they had life experience.

The aunties, however, were more divided. Some supported him, some opposed him, but on the whole, they all agreed with Zhang Zhe’s point about contributing to the family.

After listening, the auntie’s expression changed. She sat back down and continued to ask:

”But what if the man is unreliable and uses my daughter’s hard-earned salary to go out and have fun?”

”Then stop giving him money next month. If it comes to it, get a divorce and make him pay back the money he used for personal spending.” Zhang Zhe gave a slightly helpless smile. ”Ma’am, you should pay attention to marriage law, you know.”

”The law is on your side these days. What are you so worried about?”

”How about this, let me sketch out a profile of your future son-in-law for you.”

”If your daughter is willing to contribute her salary, or willing to build a life together with a man, she could probably find someone like this.”

”Between 30 and 35, an ordinary employee at a private or state-owned enterprise, with an income similar to your daughter’s or slightly higher. He owns a house in his hometown but not in Qing City, and has saved up a few hundred thousand for a down payment.”

”He’s plain and honest-looking, not particularly attractive to women, but very dependable and has no bad habits.”

”As for education, a junior college diploma, or a bachelor’s degree from a junior college upgrade program.”

”He has two elderly parents to support, but they live in the countryside, so the cost of supporting them is easily manageable.”

”What do you think of this profile?”

”I think that’s fine,” the auntie nodded, and was even about to ask Zhang Zhe where she could find such a man.

”Huh?” an uncle in the crowd exclaimed. ”Why does that sound like you’re describing my son?”

[Such a coincidence? Is this scripted?]

[Awesome, he’s making a connection on the spot.]

[Uncle, stay calm! Don’t throw your son away on this woman’s daughter!]

[The auntie hasn’t even agreed to have her daughter turn over her salary yet.]

Hearing the uncle’s words, the crowd instinctively parted, leaving the potential in-laws to stare at each other awkwardly in public.

Finally, the uncle broke the silence:

”What the Matchmaker said really does sound like my son. He’s 34, still not married, and plans to buy a house next year.”

”But I’ve been in Qing City for a month now, and I haven’t seen a single girl at the matchmaking corner who is willing to turn her salary over to a man.”

”They’re all the ones who want the men to turn over their salaries.”

”Because men turn bad when they have money!” an auntie shouted from the crowd, receiving a lot of agreement.

”That’s wrong.” Zhang Zhe sat calmly in his chair. His voice wasn’t loud, but the uncles and aunties immediately quieted down to listen. ”You say men turn bad with money, but I could just as easily say women with money turn into Yan Dongping. If you fixate on extreme examples like that, how can anyone ever get married?”

”When it comes to marriage, you always have to analyze each specific situation individually.”

”If a woman works a nine-to-five job, takes the kids to school before work, picks them up after, and then comes home to buy groceries, cook, and care for the elderly, while her husband leaves early and comes back late from earning money, not getting home until midnight...”

”...in that situation, it’s perfectly reasonable for the man to cover 60% or even more of the household expenses.”

”The same applies if you switch the roles.”

Even with disheartening examples like Yan Dongping, Zhang Zhe still believed that managing a marriage together was the right way.

’You just have to do your best to screen out ill-intentioned partners before marriage,’ he thought. ’Otherwise, even if you control all the cash, the other person can still steal money through joint debt.’

’That’s just how things are these days. Even if you take it to court, there’s nothing you can do.’

[The main problem is there are too many bad women nowadays.]

[In my family, my dad earns the money, and my mom takes care of the elders and kids. We get by okay, but my dad is a huge male chauvinist.]

[Actually, it’s not good for a married couple to calculate too much. The right way is to earn money together and discuss how to spend it.]

[Sigh, it’s a pity there are so few girls with upright values these days.]

After Zhang Zhe’s speech, the number of aunties who supported him grew significantly. ℴ

Some of them had sons, while others lived in families that followed the exact model Zhang Zhe described, so they knew he was right.

The consulting auntie’s face clearly showed a weary expression.

”Matchmaker, you’re right, but my daughter... sigh...”

”Can I bring her here so you can teach her a lesson?”

”Of course,” Teacher Wang said with a nod.

Zhang Zhe quickly nodded along, pointing to the sign next to the table. ”Right, just look for Teacher Wang from the Xixiangfeng Marriage Agency. Find some time and go straight to the agency to see her.”

”Oh, no!” Teacher Wang had just shot herself in the foot.

She wanted to refuse, but the auntie wasn’t listening to her at all. Instead, she took out her phone, wanting to add Zhang Zhe on WeChat.

Zhang Zhe wasn’t stupid. He could tell from the auntie’s expression that her daughter was one of those ”spoiled princesses,” the type who probably spent every last cent of her salary on herself each month.

’A person like that doesn’t deserve to get married.’

’Even if she managed to get married, it would be a disaster for her husband and children.’

Zhang Zhe quickly pointed to the sign again, asking two of the volunteer aunties to help guide her to the Xixiangfeng Marriage Agency.

”Sister Wang, don’t worry. I took your service fee, so I definitely won’t take on any private clients.”

”No, no, no,” Teacher Wang shook her head with a wry smile. ”Maybe you should take some. I’m afraid I won’t be able to handle it.”

”Then I’ll really take them?” Zhang Zhe pretended to pull something out. Teacher Wang, thinking it was promotional material, quickly backtracked, ”Never mind, never mind! Forget I said anything. You just do your thing. If the sky falls, my boss can deal with it.”
