Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Novice Encounters a Top-Tier Succubus

”Oh-ho? Do tell, do tell.”

Zhang Zhe’s interest was piqued after hearing what the young man had to say.

Most of the women people met on blind dates these days wouldn’t even agree to go Dutch.

”Why don’t you start by introducing yourself?”

”I’m from Haizhu District in Yangcheng, born in ’99. I just graduated with a master’s from a Project 211 university. My bachelor’s is from Guangdong University of Technology. Right now, I’m interning at an electronics factory over in Huangpu.”

”Bro, you don’t have to be so specific.”

Zhang Zhe felt the young man was a bit too earnest. If he kept going, he might as well just state his full name.

”How about this: start with your stats—height, weight, that kind of thing.”

”Oh, I’m 178 cm tall and weigh 80 kilograms. As for my looks... Teacher, do you know the band Wu Tiao Ren? I look a bit like Ah Mao.”

”Let me think. A younger version of Ah Mao... that’s probably a 3.5 out of 10.” Zhang Zhe recalled, then added, ”Not quite a 4, but definitely not ugly by Yangcheng standards.”

”What about your family’s financial situation?”

”My family’s net worth is around 30 million yuan. My dad owns a factory, but business has been terrible these past few years. It’s on the verge of bankruptcy.”

”Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had to go out and get a job.”

”Thirty million, huh? You could already afford to just live off that without working. Why not have your dad just shut down the factory? You could live comfortably on the savings,” Zhang Zhe said teasingly.

The wealthy old guard of Guangdong loves investing in industry, especially in the Pearl River Delta—those middle-aged and older Lao Dengs born in the ’60s and ’70s.

It’s probably a case of path dependency from their money-making days. After all, back when business was good, they could just borrow some money, open a factory, exploit a dozen or so employees, and easily make a few million a year.

But in recent years, many of those bosses have coughed up all the money they previously earned.

”That’s what I was thinking too.” The young man gave a sheepish laugh. ”Right now, I just clock in and clock out every day, no overtime. Life feels okay.”

”People around here tend to get married pretty young. My dad’s been nagging me for years, but I never had the motivation before. Now that I have a job, I’ve finally started going on blind dates.”

”Are you an only child?”

”Yes.”

”Mm, go on. You know what I want to hear—the story about the blind date.”

[Thirty million is enough to make a girl that proactive?]

[Bro, you might be a father soon, even though you’re still a virgin.]

[She’s not trying to get you to take on her baggage, is she?]

[I think it’s more likely she’s looking for someone to pay off her debts.]

In reality, you couldn’t find one person with 30 million yuan out of a hundred, but this is Xiaohongshu, so the guys here still have a long way to go.

Still, Zhang Zhe was inclined to believe the young man’s story.

A second-generation factory owner’s son from Yangcheng was quite attractive to women, especially if he didn’t require them to speak Cantonese. His dating pool would be much wider.

In the core area of the Pearl River Delta, there are tons of single, unmarried women who are desperate to stay by getting married.

Otherwise, when they get older, the less capable ones will have to go back to cutting sugarcane, growing mandarin oranges, or selling old-timey Changsha stinky tofu.

”The girl I met on the blind date was born in ’97, two years older than me.”

”She’s very pretty, really slim, has dimples when she smiles, and looks a bit like Gwei Lun-mei.”

”Then she must be very pretty indeed,” Zhang Zhe commented with authority.

”My dad introduced her to me. We added each other, chatted briefly for three days, and then agreed to meet up for a meal. That’s when I discovered she’s extremely forward...”

”How forward?”

”On our very first date, she took the initiative to hold my hand and take me to an escape room. During the game, she kept leaning on me, pressing her whole body against mine. It was a little awkward for me at the time.”

”Then, that night, when I was taking her home, she leaned in and kissed me.”

”Did she use tongue?”

”?” The young man sounded confused. ”She kissed my cheek.”

”Oh, then that’s not so bad. My verdict is: average.”

[Kissing on the cheek on the first date? Bro, you’re out of your league.]

[Must be nice to be rich. I hate rich people.]

[Is this scripted? I can’t believe any sister would be this shameless.]

[To be fair, that’s really not a big deal. Maybe she studied abroad.]

”Is there more?” Zhang Zhe pressed.

”Yes, yes.”

”Then, for our second date, she invited me to play ’Flight Chess,’ saying it was something couples play, and that we should go to a hotel.”

”Couples’ Flight Chess!” Zhang Zhe gave a thumbs-up. ”That stuff is intense.”

”I’ve never played it, so don’t you guys in the comments start any dirty rumors about me. I was watching *iPartment*, and Lv Ziqiao kept talking about playing a ’tense and exciting’ game of Flight Chess. I was wondering what could possibly be exciting about Flight Chess, so I looked it up.”

”And yeah, it is tense and exciting.”

”So, bro, how was it for you?” Zhang Zhe asked curiously.

”It was definitely tense and exciting, but now... I just feel very... very strange.”

”You’re a little scared.”

”You’re scared she’s like this with other guys too, right?”

”Yes, yes, yes, that’s exactly it.”

”You don’t have to be scared.” Zhang Zhe consoled him. ”Your feeling is correct. She’s definitely like this with other rich guys.”

”Huh?”

[The host is hitting the poor bro a little too hard.]

[He’s run into a top-tier succubus.]

[Bro, you guys aren’t even in the same league.]

[See? I told you the national server’s matchmaking system is broken! A girl like that should be matched with me.]

”Don’t be surprised.”

”This is a good thing.”

”Look, you don’t know anything, and she’s teaching you step-by-step. All it costs you is a little money.” Zhang Zhe paused for a moment. ”You haven’t had to ’clear her debts’ yet, have you?”

”’Clear her debts?’ What does that mean?”

”It means taking her out and buying her expensive bags or clothes.”

”Oh, that. I did buy her a bag. It was over 30,000 yuan.”

”That’s not too bad, though a little pricey.”

”You need to control yourself from now on. Don’t invest so much,” Zhang Zhe told the young man. ”There’s a high probability she returned that bag a few hours after you gave it to her. That’s a basic move for a gold digger.”

”Now that you know, don’t be shocked, and don’t expose her. This is a perfect opportunity for you to level up.”

”You’ve never been in a relationship, and your first opponent is a max-level player. You have to learn slowly.”

”Yeah, that’s what she said too.” the young man explained. ”She said it’s her first time dating a younger guy, and there’s a lot she has to teach me.”

”Wait a minute. Your dad introduced you to this girl?”

”Yes.”

”...” Zhang Zhe was suddenly a little interested in this guy’s dad, too. ’What’s his angle? Is he trying to help his son grow up?’

”What’s the girl’s family situation like?”

”Not as well-off as mine. They probably have about five million yuan. She has a younger brother and two younger sisters at home.”

”Then I get what your dad is thinking.” Zhang Zhe nodded. He thought to himself, ’The kid’s old man must be quite a character.’

The girl’s family background was clearly not a match for his.

The woman was older, her family’s assets were insufficient, and she even had younger siblings. Anyone with a bit of life experience would know that if you marry a woman like that, you basically become her entire family’s blood bank.

There’s no way the father didn’t know this.

And yet, he still made the introduction...

When parents love their children, they plan far ahead for them!

”Bro, it’s fine to date a girl like this, but whatever you do, don’t even think about marriage.”

”You can be generous, but you absolutely cannot just buy whatever she asks for. Don’t invest too much time and energy.”

”Yeah, my buddy told me the same thing,” the young man replied, sounding like he understood.

”Teacher, in my situation, what kind of girl should I be looking for?”
