Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 117: Chapter 117: What to Do When a Girl Meets Brother AA

”I never said she has to leave her family right away. She can wait until her children are grown and don’t need her care anymore before striking out on her own.”

Perhaps because there were quite a few parents in the audience, the activist woman, fearing she’d provoke the crowd’s anger, quickly tried to distance herself from that particular point.

Even though that wasn’t what she meant at all a moment ago.

”The quagmire I was referring to is her paralyzed husband.”

”Since her husband is paralyzed, he shouldn’t be a burden on her anymore. To put it bluntly, he should just hurry up and die.”

”Huh? Are you mentally challenged or something?” Zhang Zhe shot back without holding back. ”The man is paralyzed! He can’t even move, and you’re telling him to commit suicide? You think he can do it with his mouth, the way you run yours?”

”Have you feminists gotten so dumb you can’t even understand a cartoon?”

”HAHAHAHA...” The audience, young and old, burst out laughing.

The woman on stage gritted her teeth, a murderous look in her eyes as she stared at Zhang Zhe. She gestured to a nearby staff member, wanting them to throw him out.

The clueless staff member actually tried to do just that.

But Zhang Zhe was sitting right in the middle of his row. When the staff member tried to get past from the side, he had just reached the aisle seat when a burly man blocked his way.

He couldn’t squeeze past, either. The big man simply stood in his way, refusing to let him through.

The staff member tried to reason with him. ”Sir, the movie is over. You can leave now.”

”Nope.” The man shook his head. ”This is just as good as the movie. I suggest you mind your own business.”

Meanwhile, Zhang Zhe was still on the offensive:

”In the movie, the father pig had real abilities. The spells he taught actually worked. At worst, his situation was like a failed business venture.”

”Sure, in real life, there are plenty of men who, after their businesses fail, don’t want to be a burden on their wives and children. But that’s *their* choice to make.”

”What gives you, a complete stranger, the right to butt in?”

The woman on stage finally realized that Zhang Zhe was not on her side.

’He’s trying to ruin this for me!’

Seeing the dozens of phones in the theater recording her, she took a deep breath. It was obvious this incident would be posted online, and it might even go viral.

’If I don’t fight back now, I’m done for.’

So Mei Jia immediately shot back, ”I’m a stranger? Aren’t you a stranger, too? You’re allowed to speak, but I’m not? Is it because I’m a woman?”

”Don’t think I’m afraid of you just because you’re a man.”

”I’m standing right here today, and I’m going to speak for all my sisters out there.”

”Marriage and family are the shackles that keep us from pursuing our own lives! I’ve proven it with my own experience: a woman can be very happy after a divorce!”

”Then you should get divorced a few more times!” Zhang Zhe retorted with a sneer. ”If you’re this happy after just one divorce, imagine getting divorced dozens of times. You’d be soaring through the heavens, wouldn’t you?”

”HAHAHAHA...” The onlookers couldn’t help but burst out laughing again.

”I got divorced because my husband beat me!” the woman cried out.

”Then you *should* have gotten a divorce. But I’m not being beaten by a husband, and I don’t plan on beating my wife, so why should I let you indoctrinate me with your twisted view on marriage?”

”I came here to watch a movie. This is a theater, not a public toilet.”

”Whatever. We’re different.”

”I believe in marriage and family. People like you can just die old and alone for all I care.” Zhang Zhe waved his hand in disgust. ”What terrible luck. Can’t even watch a movie without running into some filth.”

”Alright, I’m out of here. Let’s go, everyone. Just ignore this lunatic.”

”Yeah, that’s right! Everyone, just ignore people like her!” Xia Yi stood up and pointedly took Zhang Zhe’s arm, making it clear she was leaving with him.

Seeing this, Lanlan, who was next to her, quickly stood up and followed them.

As Zhang Zhe walked away, a chorus of voices rose up behind him.

Some were supportive, while others joined him in denouncing Mei Jia:

”You’re the man, bro!”

”You said everything I was thinking.”

”It’s because there aren’t enough heroes like you that these women get so out of control.”

”Who comes to a family movie to tell people to get divorced? I swear, these feminists are insane!”

...

Once they were out of the theater, Zhang Zhe remembered something crucial he’d forgotten to do, and a look of regret crept onto his face.

”What’s wrong?” Xia Yi asked, concerned.

”I forgot to plug myself.”

”This thing today will definitely hit the local Douyin trending charts in Qing City. If nobody knows it was me who stood up, that’s a huge waste.”

”Don’t worry.” Xia Yi covered her mouth and giggled, surprised that this was what he was worried about. ”If it really blows up, I’ll just pretend to be a random person in the audience and comment on people’s videos to tell them who you are.”

”I’ll also mention that you livestream on Xiaohongshu.”

”Really? That’d be great.” Zhang Zhe had planned on doing it himself, but another person helping out was even better.

”Of course.”

”I can help, too.” Xia Yi’s colleague behind her finished her last bite of popcorn and raised her hand. ”I used to follow that woman. She wasn’t this extreme back then. I even joined her fan group.”

”If they organize a group to come after you, I can be your inside source.”

”Perfect, perfect. Thanks.” Suddenly, Zhang Zhe found this colleague much less annoying.

’She’s on Weibo and even joined that activist’s fan group. Honestly, the chances of her being a good person were pretty low.’

’There was a higher chance she was a ’werewolf’.’

’But her willingness to help proved she wasn’t one of those brainwashed activists. She could tell the difference between the internet and reality. In that case, I guess she barely qualifies as a human being.’

’I guess that popcorn she ate wasn’t a total waste.’

...

After dinner, the colleague asked Zhang Zhe to help analyze her love life.

Zhang Zhe and Xia Yi glanced at each other.

Xia Yi looked down, a little embarrassed.

He quickly told her not to be embarrassed. ”It’s just analyzing a blind date, right? I do free analyses for people on my livestreams all the time. Go ahead.”

”Just tell me what the problem is.”

”I have a potential match from a blind date right now, my family set it up.” After saying this, Lanlan tugged on Xia Yi’s hand. ”Yiyi, I didn’t mean to hide it from you.”

”It’s just that the blind date isn’t going so well, and I was afraid you’d all laugh at me.”

”Don’t get sidetracked while we’re analyzing the problem!” Zhang Zhe warned the colleague, worried the two women would get lost in gossip.

”Right, Lanlan, tell Zhang Zhe first,” Xia Yi said, patting her colleague’s hand. ”I knew you were going on blind dates. Actually, all the teachers at the kindergarten know.”

”So just relax and tell him.”

”Huh?” The expression on Lanlan’s face was priceless.

It even made Zhang Zhe a little curious. Just who was this person she was meeting?

’Was the story really that interesting?’

After he prompted her again, Lanlan finally explained her situation:

”My blind date... he says he likes me a lot, but he’s not proactive at all. Ever since our first meeting, he’s insisted on going AA.”

”It’s been almost three months, and we still have to pay for our own orders, even at Mixue Bingcheng.”
