Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 142: Chapter 142: Can the Woman Hand Over Her Salary?

”For the past six months, our matchmaking agency has held an event here once a month. This is my third time coming,” Teacher Wang said, her tone a little heavy.

”Sister Wang, why is it always you? Are you being pushed out?”

”Not at all. It’s because I was trying to get promoted to Gold Matchmaker, so I volunteered for the first two times.”

”Then I got sick and lost my fighting spirit. But now that I’ve lost my ambition, it’s my turn in the rotation.” Teacher Wang gave a wry smile, all but ready to cry out about her bitter fate.

Zhang Zhe heard this and didn’t know whether to laugh or not, so he had to hold it in.

Thankfully, a few older ladies soon arrived, and someone noticed the posters and consultation table set up here.

Seeing people approach, Teacher Wang quickly put on her mask and held out her hand to Zhang Zhe for his phone. ”Come on, Teacher Zhang, I’ll handle the live stream for you. It’s all on you now.”

”You’re not going to do anything?”

”I’m handling the stream for you! If any comments in the chat start flaming you, I’ll even ban them for you.”

”Fine, I guess that makes you somewhat useful.” Zhang Zhe nodded and reluctantly took out his phone to start the stream.

This time, they were using the Matchmaking Live Stream Room’s Douyin account. Clips from their usual streams were posted on this account, which currently had over 20,000 followers, most of whom were quite active.

As soon as the stream went live, over 300 viewers appeared in the room.

[Outdoor stream?]

[Where is this? Who are the two people in white coats?]

[Teacher Zhang, why are you dressed like that? Did the mental hospital let you out?]

”Hello viewers, we’re currently at the matchmaking corner in our local Lotus Lake Park. We’re here on-site to provide free matchmaking consultations for single men and women, as well as their parents, who are here looking for a match.”

”I’m Teacher Zhang’s assistant, Xiaowang...”

After all, Teacher Wang had streamed on Granny Xu’s account before.

She knew all the basic operations and was a decent speaker. After listening for a few moments, Zhang Zhe saw that she wasn’t having an episode and felt relieved.

Just then, a middle-aged woman finally worked up the courage to come over for a consultation.

She was holding a pink information card. According to what the volunteer ”auntie” had explained earlier, this meant she either didn’t want to post her personal information publicly or hadn’t managed to get a spot on the board.

The woman walked up, sat down on the stool, and her first words were, ”Hey handsome, are you married?”

”I am. My child is five,” Zhang Zhe replied crisply.

He really didn’t want to keep going back and forth with people on this topic. If anyone else asked, he was going to have to tie a banner to his forehead.

”Ma’am, are you here for a consultation for your daughter?”

”Yes.” The woman solemnly handed over the info card. ”Here, Teacher, take a look. This is my daughter’s profile.”

”Okay.” Zhang Zhe nodded. ”Do you mind if we’re live streaming?”

”I don’t mind. If there are any suitable men in the live stream, they can contact me too,” the woman said with great sincerity. ”I’m retired with nothing to do, so now I spend every day wandering between the various matchmaking corners, trying to figure out a way to get my daughter married.”

”Understood. Let me take a look first.”

While Zhang Zhe read the profile, Teacher Wang also stood up to film the information on the card.

”Unmarried female, born June 1993, height 1.61 meters, stable personality, highly independent.”

”Works in the main urban district at a Grade A Class 3 hospital. Work is a bit busy, sometimes requires working 24 hours straight and being unable to reply to WeChat messages. Please understand.”

”If both parties are busy with work, my parents can lend a hand. Both parents are retired, have pensions, and are not a financial burden for elder care.”

”Personal hobbies: swimming, traveling, reading, fitness.”

Zhang Zhe was no longer the wide-eyed rookie he was when he first entered the business. After reading the woman’s self-introduction, he could already analyze a lot of hidden information:

One: She only listed her height, not her weight, and mentioned a ”stable personality.” She’s definitely on the heavier side.

Two: She’s most likely a nurse. If she were a doctor at a Grade A Class 3 hospital, she would have definitely written it down. If she were in administration, she wouldn’t be regularly working 24-hour shifts. That only leaves the thankless job of a nurse.

Three: At 32, she’s still in a regular nursing position and didn’t list her educational background. She probably has a vocational diploma. This suggests weak self-drive, almost no chance of career advancement, and a predictable future income ceiling.

Four: Of the hobbies listed, besides traveling, the other three were probably just filler. Someone who enjoys swimming and fitness wouldn’t be afraid to list their weight. As for reading, reading novels also counts as reading—about as meaningful as listing ’eating’ or ’drinking water’.

[This girl seems pretty good]

[Too bad she’s a nurse. It’s so hard for them to find a partner.]

[She specifically emphasized being unable to reply for 24 hours. You can tell she’s been called out for that before.]

[If she doesn’t get out of her current job, she can basically kiss marriage goodbye.]

The woman’s profile card also listed her requirements for a man:

”Unmarried male, born between 1983 and 1995. Must have a stable job, no bad habits, own a marital home, have no external debt, possess a certain financial foundation, and preferably have a specialized skill.”

”Height 168 cm or taller, bachelor’s degree or higher.”

After reading these requirements, Zhang Zhe knew why the matchmaking corner’s success rate was so low.

’These people don’t even understand the basic principles of matchmaking.’

”Matchmaker, what do you think of my daughter’s profile? Does your agency have any suitable men you can recommend?”

”Ma’am, this profile card hides too much information.” Zhang Zhe pointed to the requirements for the man. ”You require a certain level of education from him, but what about your daughter’s own education?”

”Even if it’s a vocational diploma, you have to write it down.”

”There’s no need to write down a vocational diploma,” the woman said with a wry smile. ”Putting that down will just make people laugh at her.”

”Who will laugh? The man?” Zhang Zhe retorted. ”If a man is going to laugh at your daughter’s education, would he still be willing to be with her?”

”There’s no point in hiding it.”

”If you’re honest about it, you at least have a chance.”

”I understand.” The woman seemed receptive to his advice. She nodded, pulled a notebook right out of her pocket, and started writing down Teacher Zhang’s words of wisdom.

”Next, your daughter is a nurse, right?”

”Yes, she’s a contract nurse in the intensive care unit of a Grade A Class 3 hospital.”

”She’s been working for many years and is very experienced. She gets along well with the doctors and the head nurse in her department, so she has some connections in the medical system. If a relative gets sick or something, she can help make arrangements.”

”She’s a contract employee? That’s quite good. Does the family have connections in that area?”

Zhang Zhe only learned from the chat comments that nurses at Grade A Class 3 hospitals are now required to have a bachelor’s degree in nursing as their initial qualification.

The competition is incredibly fierce.

Only those with sufficient seniority and professional titles can have the requirement relaxed to a vocational diploma.

Normally, someone with only a vocational diploma would have to get in through a labor dispatch agency.

”We do have a small connection. My husband used to work at that hospital.” The woman gave a subtle smile. ”But he left later to start his own thing. If he had stayed until natural retirement, our daughter might have had a shot at becoming a head nurse.”

”Understood.”

”Ma’am, what’s your family’s financial situation like? Roughly what ’A-level’ would you say it is?”

”What does ’A-level’ mean?”

The woman didn’t understand, so Zhang Zhe had to explain it to her. The final answer he got was A7.

The family’s fixed assets consisted of an old house worth a little over a million yuan and a few hundred thousand in savings. The woman’s husband was still working at a small clinic opened by one of his former apprentices to supplement their income.

Zhang Zhe now had a basic grasp of the young woman’s situation.

She only had two advantages:

She was a contract employee at a Grade A Class 3 hospital, so her income was very stable, comparable to an employee at a regular state-owned enterprise;

And her profession as a nurse meant she was likely good at taking care of people.

’However, a man who married her would likely be completely unable to enjoy either of these two advantages.’
