Livestream Matchmaking: My Intel Infinitely Refreshes

Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Let Your Left Brain Hit Your Right Brain

”Are you looking for a relationship, or going on blind dates?” Zhang Zhe asked.

’She’s a college junior, so she’s probably twenty-one. In some circles, people get anxious and start going on arranged dates at that age.’

”I’ve been on two blind dates already.”

”As for relationships... does having a crush count?”

”If we’re counting those, how many?” Zhang Zhe asked with a smile.

”Six.”

”That’s not so bad. At least you’re not at the stage of falling for every person you meet.” Zhang Zhe suppressed a laugh. ’The way this girl talks, she sounds a bit... ditzy. Normally, as long as she doesn’t look the part, she shouldn’t have any trouble attracting guys.’

”Alright, how about this: give me your basic information, and I’ll give you an assessment.”

”Okay, I was born in 2004. I’m 170cm, weigh 119 pounds, and I’m a junior at a regular university.”

”As for my family situation, my mom already explained. I come from a single-parent home. I don’t even remember what my dad looked like...”

”You’re not heavy at all. What about your looks? How would you rate yourself, roughly?”

”I’m not sure. How about you rate me, sir? I can turn on my camera.”

[This girl sounds super confident. Bet she’s not ugly.]

[Gotta love Xiaohongshu. The people on Douyin just do voice calls; they don’t dare to show their faces.]

[The girl’s mom wasn’t a looker, so she’s probably average at best. Otherwise, guys would be after her.]

[Daughters usually look like their dads. The mom has money, so the dad probably wasn’t ugly.]

Of course, Zhang Zhe wasn’t going to object to her turning on her camera. He just asked her to find a clean background, preferably a plain white wall, to avoid revealing any personal information.

Some internet sleuths could use the view from a window to pinpoint her exact residential complex and building number.

He also told her not to use any beauty filters, just the phone’s native camera.

Whether she was wearing makeup or not didn’t really matter. The native camera would instantly reveal if her face was caked in foundation, and her rating naturally wouldn’t be very high.

”Sir—” the woman called out softly after turning on her camera.

”Wow, sis. You look so ’A’,” Zhang Zhe praised with genuine admiration.

”A” is slang for ”alpha” or ”top.” The natural counterpart is the ”bottom.”

For a girl to look ”A,” think of someone like Brother Chun—a very androgynous style.

The girl on the call had a face a bit like a cosplayer named Futuan’Er, but even more dashing. Add a little mustache, and you’d genuinely be unable to tell if she was a man or a woman.

”So... are you interested in the opposite sex?”

”Of course I am.”

[AHHHH, what a waste!]

[Sis, you’re a total lady-killer! You’re top-tier dream girl material in the lesbian community.]

[Why are we so hung up on gender? I can give you anything a man can!]

[I already slid into your DMs, give me a chance!]

Seeing how wild the women in the bullet comments were going, you could tell just how ”A” this girl’s looks were. But she just had to be into men, which made things awkward.

Her situation was the same as those ”bear” type guys with round faces and full beards.

”If you’re really set on finding a guy, you could try gaining a little weight. Some softness in your face would make you look cuter. That jawline of yours is just incredible; even I think you look too handsome.”

”Guys will befriend a girl who’s as handsome as you are, but unless he’s a total pretty boy himself, he’s probably not going to have any other kind of ideas about you.”

”Exactly!” the girl exclaimed. ”I’ve become ’one of the bros’ with so many guys! I once confessed to a guy I liked, and he immediately tried to make me his sworn brother on the spot.”

”Sir, for someone in her situation, would a little cosmetic surgery help?” the girl’s mother inquired from off-camera.

”Surgery where? Her face?”

”My mom wants me to get a breast augmentation. I don’t think it’s necessary. Implants are a hassle to maintain when you get older.” The girl then added, almost reflexively, ”I don’t think women should have to change themselves just because of what men think.”

What she said wasn’t wrong, in and of itself. It’s good to dare to be yourself.

But this was Xiaohongshu. Zhang Zhe felt something was off about her.

He asked curiously, ”Hey, you’re not one of those online feminist types, are you?”

”No, no, no,” the woman denied. ”But I do support my sisters on Xiaohongshu fighting for their rights. I’m definitely not going to be a traditional woman like my mom.”

’Her mom, a traditional woman? You’ve got to be kidding me!’

If the girl’s mother hadn’t joined the call, Zhang Zhe might have actually believed her. But the woman had just been on, saying she wanted to find a handsome guy for herself. How was that traditional in any way?

However, Zhang Zhe was very familiar with the thought processes of young women like her. They were simply naive and easily swayed by a few catchy slogans.

It wasn’t quite the same as the case of the older ”leftover women.”

’People like this are actually pretty funny, as long as they don’t stoop to disgusting tactics like false accusations. It’s interesting to watch them as a sort of joke.’

”When you say you don’t want to be a ’traditional woman,’ let me see if I understand... does that mean not having children?” Zhang Zhe was curious about what was really going on in this girl’s head.

”No, that’s not it. I still want to have kids. I like children.”

”When I say ’traditional,’ I’m talking about things like housework. I think chores should be split equally between men and women—laundry, cooking, all of it.”

”I see.” Zhang Zhe nodded. ”So, in your house, who does the chores?”

”My mom, of course.”

”Oh? And why don’t you split them with her?”

[AHAHAHA]

[Oof, he hit a nerve. She’s about to deflate.]

[The host is so evil, lol. Her brain can’t process a question that difficult.]

[It makes no sense for someone from a single-parent family to get into this feminist stuff. If there’d been a man at home, her mom wouldn’t have had it so tough.]

”I... I don’t know how to do chores! My mom’s really good at it; she gets it all done in a flash. I’d just get in the way.”

”If you don’t know how to do chores, how are you going to split them equally with your future husband?” Zhang Zhe continued. ”I don’t quite get it, you see. Could you clear up my confusion?”

”I...” The girl was getting flustered. She wanted to say something but didn’t know what. Finally, she glanced at the bullet comments and found her answer. ”I was just giving an example! I didn’t mean chores have to be split exactly fifty-fifty. The point is that it has to be fair.”

”Then give me another example,” Zhang Zhe said, gesturing for her to proceed.

He was genuinely curious about what young women were thinking these days, especially this new wave of online activists.

If this had been back in his office days, he wouldn’t have even bothered arguing with someone like this. He’d just call them an ”idiot” or ”crazy” and be done with it.

But now that he was a Matchmaker, things were different. Whether it was online feminists or gold diggers, if it was a type of young woman that existed, he had to understand them.

It couldn’t be helped. After all, what man didn’t like a twenty-year-old?

If he didn’t know what twenty-year-old women were thinking, on what basis could he, a Matchmaker, help people find a suitable partner?

”If you’re finding it difficult to give an example, then let’s do this: we’ll just focus on the matchmaking.”

”It just so happens this is my specialty. You just list your requirements, and I’ll see what kind of man can meet them.”

”I’ve already analyzed this ’splitting the chores’ issue for you. The guy can’t be a programmer or anyone working a 996 schedule, because they get home after 10 p.m. and have absolutely no time for housework.”

”Alright, go on.”

”But programmers are different! They have high salaries.” The girl’s left and right brain started to battle. ”If he’s willing to hand over his salary after we’re married, I don’t mind doing the chores.”

”Hey, snap out of it. You don’t know how to do chores.”

”I can learn! I’ll have my mom teach me!”

The woman’s mother chimed in from the side, ”That’s something she can definitely learn. No one is born knowing how to do everything. She’s only a college junior; she’s still very young.”
