The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1400: Chapter 545: Not Taking the Initiative, Not Refusing (2)

He didn’t want to meet anyone, nor did he want to waste time and energy making polite conversation with others, so he simply came out to enjoy the sea breeze and ponder the future of his entrepreneurial project. Once he figured it out, he would head back and play some mobile games with Su Yajing and friends, which was quite nice.

Until...

The cigarette Zhou Wang was holding in his mouth was extinguished by the salty sea breeze. A hand, glowing with a pale luminance even in the dark, reached over to help him relight it.

”Thank you.”

Zhou Wang didn’t turn around. He assumed it was another yacht girl trying to hit on him, noticing his expensive attire, so he casually expressed his thanks.

”You seem to have grown taller. I remember before, when I wanted to reach your lips, I didn’t have to tiptoe so much...”

After a brief silence, a slightly playful voice came from beside him.

The voice was as clear as a silver bell, filled with the vibrancy unique to young girls, yet if one listened carefully, one might detect a faint tremor, indicating that the girl was a tiny bit nervous.

Given Zhou Wang’s current grasp of human nature, possibly due to reading too many books which have indeed sharpened his mind, such details didn’t even need his deliberate attention but would automatically convert into some kind of information, flooding into his mind.

After being slightly stunned, he turned his head. That familiar-sounding voice, coupled with the face that had become somewhat unfamiliar yet still pure, instantly stirred some distant memories, prompting Zhou Wang to blur out:

”Sun Xining?”

Zhou Wang was indeed a bit surprised, and he never expected to meet her here.

However, he finally remembered. Yes, she was in Peng City. After Zhou Wang left Jing City, they only had contact once, which was when Sun Xining sent him a video of a bathroom, and they exchanged a few brief words.

Later, contact was completely lost, and Zhou Wang ended up forgetting about her.

To say ”forget”, but after all, some memories were still quite profound. This was the only girl Zhou Wang had ever ’invested in’ in his entire life so far.

That unique experience was a bit overwhelming for a young man fresh into his twenties.

Upon hearing Zhou Wang call out her name immediately, Sun Xining maintained a smile on her face, but inwardly she breathed a big sigh of relief.

Seeing Zhou Wang a moment ago made Sun Xining’s head heat up, prompting her to follow him.

She was always bolder than other girls of her age, which directly manifested in her willingness to take action.

If she liked it, she liked it, and if she wanted it, she wanted it.

Otherwise, at the class reunion in Jing City, she wouldn’t have dared to pull Zhou Wang into an empty private room and treat him to ”Kou Shui Chicken” that night, despite not being that familiar with him before.

She even went to get a room with Zhou Wang afterward, and they admired the ”flowers” again.

Although it seemed like Sun Xining demanded her recompense by making Zhou Wang buy her two bags, if Zhou Wang hadn’t had a deadly attraction to her, she wouldn’t have stooped to such behavior...

There were always many men who wanted to buy her things, but she also had her own standards.

However, those words, she couldn’t say to Zhou Wang.

She was always sensible, very aware of her own position, and knew that exceptional peers like Zhou Wang wouldn’t marry a girl like her.

She never hoped for a long-term story with Zhou Wang.

However, when she saw Zhou Wang at that moment, she couldn’t help but get excited.

Some men are just like ”Moonlight”, appearing out of the blue during those cold, lonely nights to wreak havoc within your heart, but there are also some men who are simply damn unreasonable ”Suns” by nature.

They hang high above, and you can’t help but pay attention to them.

They emit their brilliance at any moment, making it impossible for you to hide from them.

Zhou Wang was undeniably that kind of man.

Sun Xining ran all the way to Peng City, yet she was constantly bombarded with tidbits about him.

Though she didn’t want to hear them, among her colleagues, there were two girls who were fans of Zhou Wang on social media platforms.

Since Zhou Wang began running his short video account, they had been following his every move and chattered in Sun Xining’s ear every day, leaving her no choice but to listen.

It’s hard not to say that her current standards for choosing a man have been greatly influenced by this subtle and prolonged subconscious influence.

She was both upset and occasionally... a bit proud.

After all, she was the girl who opened the door to a New World for that man...

Speaking of which, Sun Xining still felt a bit smug.

She clearly remembered that night, Zhou Wang’s expression of amazement mixed with a bit of befuddlement, and the moment when she mischievously held onto him tightly, causing Zhou Wang to gasp for breath until his brow furrowed with speechless frustration...

Back then, Zhou Wang was, after all, a bit inexperienced.

”Didn’t expect that, did you?”

Sun Xining playfully winked at Zhou Wang and voluntarily explained, ”I was invited by two friends to go for a break. I never expected to meet you here...”

”So unexpected.”

”Why don’t we quickly toast to our fate then?”

Even though they hadn’t been in contact for a long time, Sun Xining didn’t seem distant at all. Having confirmed that Zhou Wang wasn’t hostile towards her, she happily turned around, took two glasses of champagne from a passing waiter, and offered one to Zhou Wang.

Without waiting for Zhou Wang’s response, she had already clinked her glass against his, then lifted it to gulp it down. She drank so vigorously that some of the sparkling wine spilled over her lips, trickled down her exquisite collarbone, and into the cleft of her camisole...

”Look, Zhou Wang, I’ve finished mine, your turn!”

Wiping her mouth, Sun Xining gestured with her empty glass to Zhou Wang.

”Alright, cheers.”

Zhou Wang chuckled, looking at the girl in front of him, feeling a peculiar sensation rise within him.

When it came to Sun Xining, he couldn’t say he liked her, but he simply found her interesting, different from any other woman around him. Her sudden appearance did add a splash of color to this otherwise dull night.

”I was just bothered by not knowing anyone, feeling a bit awkward, and suddenly you appeared to rescue me...”

Once Zhou Wang finished his champagne, Sun Xining began chattering, subtly closing the distance between herself and Zhou Wang with her words, while indirectly indicating she wasn’t accompanied by a specific man, hinting that she was in a ”single” status.

Zhou Wang chuckled.

In the past, limited by his skills, when interacting with Sun Xining, it was entirely her accommodating him. Back then, Zhou Wang merely found it pleasant to be with this girl. Now he realized, maybe it was Sun Xining proactively ”downgrading” to be compatible with him back then.

Thought of in another way, Sun Xining was actually quite formidable, skilled in conversation and adept at reading minds.

In some people’s eyes, she might have been the ultimate ”green tea,” but Zhou Wang couldn’t help thinking that if this kind of girl were in public relations, she’d probably be invincible.

After chatting briefly with Sun Xining about recent developments, she had already, almost unconsciously, linked her arm with Zhou Wang’s amidst her girlish laughter.

In response, Zhou Wang didn’t feel there was any need to evade. At least he was her big shareholder, after all, and there’s no need to pretend otherwise.

Not proactively reaching out, yet there was no reason to reject either.

”Ningning, what are you... what are you doing!”

Just as the two were getting closer, engaged in lively conversation, a startled and angry shout was suddenly heard from behind.

Zhou Wang turned in surprise, recognizing two ”familiar strangers.”

Hmm?

Weren’t they the two guys from the plane?
